Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!-Chapter 125: Re-entering the Abyss Realm, Frost Alliance
Ares shook his head. He had asked George what he needed the Crafted Relic for, but the kid didn’t say clearly.
"I guess this thing can make his pet stronger."
Ares thought about George’s pet - a False God-level demon, a god-like Blazing Angel, an elf, a ghost, and a female knight.
The most shocking was that huge Golden Flame Dragon.
"Since it’s what he needs, we’ll fight for it," James didn’t ask more. As long as it could make George stronger, he would do everything he could to help.
"Oh," Ares thought of something and said again, "That kid said he could offer an Epic-grade gear in exchange."
James shook his head. "An Epic-grade gear is nothing to Frost Alliance. Alright, I’ll handle it myself. You take care of checking the Blood Poison infection. Make sure you don’t miss anyone."
"No problem. Good thing we found it early. The Sovereign City didn’t get too much trouble," Ares said, then turned and left.
This was important. The Sovereign City did have some infected people. The stronger they were, the slower the Blood Poison spread.
It was lucky they met George. Otherwise, it would have been a big disaster for the Sovereign City.
...
These days, George and Lily moved into a villa the school provided. It was not far from the Obsidian Academy. The place was quiet and peaceful. It was a villa area, and the people living here were all important figures in the school - teachers and students.
But it was still vacation time, so there weren’t many people around.
George had nothing to do. He and Liam walked around the Sovereign City and got a quick look at the situation.
The Sovereign City wasn’t as safe as he thought.
The city’s power was complicated. There were forces from the academy, guilds, and various adventurer groups.
But the strongest was the army, which controlled the city’s power.
The biggest threat, however, was the monsters outside the city. There were many strong monster gathering points around the Sovereign City.
"Liam, there are so many monsters here. Has the Sovereign City tried to clean them out?" George asked curiously.
The Sovereign City was the core of the Human Federation’s strength. He thought it should be easy to deal with those monsters.
Liam sighed. "They tried, but they all failed."
"Are the monsters that strong?" George frowned. He heard the Sovereign City had five War Gods in total, three of them in the military. Unless a demon king showed up, they wouldn’t be a match.
"No," Liam looked at the tall city walls and said, "There are places here that are like realms. But it’s the opposite. Adventurers can’t enter, but monsters can come through."
"Monsters can come through a realm?" George was surprised. "You mean, Earth is a realm for monsters?"
"I’m not sure, but a lot of people think that way," Liam said. "The upper ranks have looked into it, but no one found anything."
Luckily, even though there were many monsters, they weren’t too strong.
These monsters could help adventurers get stronger. It was a mixed blessing, so the upper ranks just left it alone. They only cleaned up when the monsters gathered too much.
"Let’s go back to the villa," George said. He had received a mental call from Blazing Angel Lilia.
The task of checking for Blood Poison infections was done. Ares and Lilia were already back at the villa waiting for him.
"George, I have something to do. I won’t go back with you," Liam said and said goodbye.
George went straight back to the villa.
Ares was already there, greeted by Lily.
"Kid, this is what you wanted," Ares said, pulling out two items from his bag and handing them to George.
"Not the Crafted Relic?" George was surprised. These were two realm passes - one for the Abyss and one for the Chaos Battlefield.
It was still useful to him, but he really wanted the Crafted Relic.
"It’s tricky," Ares sighed. "Frost Alliance didn’t want to give it up, but they told us how to get it. There was an extra condition."
"What’s the method?" George asked curiously. Even if he couldn’t get the Crafted Relic, knowing how to get it was still helpful.
"It’s a hidden realm inside the Abyss. Frost Alliance found it by accident. They’ll give us one spot, but if we get two or more Crafted Relics, we have to give them half. If only one, it goes to them," Ares said, annoyed. Frost Alliance’s condition was too harsh, and the Obsidian Academy had paid a big price for it.
"Do I have to go into that realm?" George asked, confused. Was this saying he had to get the Crafted Relic himself?
Ares nodded and explained, "The conditions for entering this hidden realm are strict. You need a special pass, and the person entering can’t be above level 50. We think you’re the best fit among the top students. Are you willing?"
He and James had already talked about it. If George refused, they’d send someone else.
George was exactly level 50, which fit the requirement. His monsters were all level 50 too.
It was rare to have a level restriction on a realm, so this one must be special.
"I accept," George said without hesitation. He nodded right away. As for splitting the Crafted Relic, he’d decide based on the situation later.
"Are you sure?" Ares reminded him. "You have that demon mark. The Abyss is a demon stronghold. If a strong demon targets you, you’ll be in big trouble."
"Relax. I can take care of myself," George said confidently. Since the realm had a level limit, the monsters inside wouldn’t be too strong. Constantine and the others would handle them.
"Okay, then. We leave tomorrow morning. I’ll take you myself," Ares still wasn’t sure about his safety, so he decided to escort him personally.
George nodded and didn’t refuse.
...
The next morning, George and Ares entered the Abyss Realm.
"This is the Abyss Realm?" George looked around, surprised.
It was a grand city, just as big as the Sovereign City. Adventurers were coming and going, busy and lively. There was no sign of monsters at all.
Ares looked proud. "This is our Human Federation territory."
"The Abyss Realm has Human Federation territory?" George was confused. He thought the Abyss was all monsters. He had entered it many times before, and it was full of monsters. He rarely met other adventurers there.
"Of course. Not just us, but other factions also have their own territories in the Abyss," Ares explained briefly.
The Abyss was full of monsters, but humans also had their own bases. They used realm passes to teleport into the major cities.
George’s pass was provided by Eliex, and it only took him to the locations of major monster bosses. So he couldn’t teleport into the cities.
It seemed like he could also set up his own territory.
George thought about Constantine. He was now a demon Count, had taken over the Death Graveyard, and could easily turn it into his own territory.
"Does the demon mark react?" Ares asked worriedly.
George shook his head. "There are no monsters nearby."
The demon mark had a certain range, about ten kilometers. That meant the area within ten kilometers was all human territory, no monsters at all.
"That’s good. Let me take you to Frost Alliance first. By the way, your class is Frost Mage. Don’t reveal the Oathweaver class. Maybe we can surprise them later," Ares said with a small grin. He could already imagine George suddenly summoning a powerful monster in the hidden realm, and how shocked those guys would be.
"Does the hidden realm affect summoning monsters?" George asked worriedly.
Some realms had special rules, like space suppression, where adventurers couldn’t summon their pets.
"Relax. This realm doesn’t have space strength. Otherwise, they wouldn’t let you go in," Ares said, leading George toward the city center.
There were teleportation arrays between major cities, but you needed special permission and the target city had to agree.
Ares clearly had the permission, and he had already contacted Frost Alliance.
"This is your first time using a teleport array. It might feel a bit uncomfortable. Try to bear it," he warned, then walked up a platform where complex symbols were carved.
George nodded and didn’t think much, following him up onto the platform.
Light flashed, the array activated, and space strength surged.
George felt the space twist around him, the light became messy, and a strange feeling came over him, like his body and soul were being torn apart.
But the discomfort passed quickly, and the two of them appeared in a new city.
"Damn, that was rough," George bent over, breathing heavily, his face pale.
Ares patted his back to comfort him. "It’s normal the first time. You’ll get used to it." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Hey, old man Ares, you’re still alive?" A rough voice said. A big man with a beard walked over with a smile.
"Hmph, if you’re still alive, how could I die?" Ares wasn’t happy, but he still gave the man a hug.
"Hey, where’s your arm?" The big man looked at his empty sleeve and asked in surprise.
"Cut off," Ares said coolly.
"Cut off? Who could hurt you?" The big man knew that War Gods were the top in human society, except for some strong monsters.
"I cut it off myself," Ares said lightly, not caring at all.
The big man’s eyes twitched. "You have a self-harm habit?"
Ares glared at him, then turned to George and introduced, "This is Orion from Frost Alliance. He’s also a War God."
War God Orion?
"Good day, sir," George quickly greeted. He had heard of this man before - he was a big name.
"Good. A kid so young reaching level 50 - that’s pretty impressive," Orion saw his level right away and nodded with a smile.
