Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!-Chapter 154: Broken World, Shadow Monsters
George asked curiously, "If even gods can’t deal with that strength, is it World’s Fundamental Power?"
The Half-Orc leader shook his head. "No. They are just a more powerful form of life. If the world’s will existed, it could deal with them. But their invasion means the world’s will has been seriously weakened and corrupted. It can’t stop them at all."
George furrowed his brow. This was close to what he had guessed. He felt even more determined to take control of Earth’s Will.
The Half-Orc leader hesitated, then said, "Human, I can feel you are strong. I can let you watch the image of our world’s destruction. It might help you protect your strength better."
"Really?" George doubted. He didn’t think these Half-Orcs were that kind. He asked, "You have a condition, right?"
"Of course." The Half-Orc leader smiled and nodded. "As a trade, I want to form an alliance with you humans. That way, we can survive better in the chaos. It would be good for both of us."
An alliance?
George frowned and kept his face cold. "How do you know we can’t protect our own world?"
"Haha, when you see that terrible thing, you’ll realize how silly your idea is. Come with me." The Half-Orc leader laughed weakly. He ordered his men to watch for Dark Wolfguard activity and led George back to their territory.
George came here to check out the Dark Wolfguard, but he wasn’t in a hurry. He wanted to see the truth behind the Half-Orc world’s destruction first.
"Obsidian Wraith, do you know what kind of monster this guy is talking about?" He looked at Obsidian Wraith and asked quietly.
Obsidian Wraith’s world had also been destroyed. Maybe he knew something.
"Master, I don’t know. Our world was formed after the planet broke apart, and all living things gave their lives. We were made from strong wills. We never saw the final battle," Obsidian Wraith shook his head.
George nodded and didn’t ask more. He followed the Half-Orc leader to the Half-Orc territory.
This was a Half-Orc tribe, with about ten thousand people. They were very suspicious of his arrival.
The Chaos Battlefield was full of fighting, even between the same race. How could they trust an outsider?
George didn’t care about the hostile people. These Half-Orcs were strong, but still far behind him.
"Adventurer, please come in," the Half-Orc leader Sean said, stopping in front of a slightly broken building.
This was the headquarters of the Half-Orc tribe. It wasn’t as fancy as George had expected. Instead, it had a tired and old look.
He didn’t refuse and walked into the empty hall. Obsidian Wraith followed closely.
The hall was dark, with a few floating crystal balls glowing faintly.
George looked around curiously.
Sean explained, "These are images from before our world, Planet Balaf, was destroyed. This includes the battle that destroyed it."
He tapped his staff in the air, and a slightly brighter crystal ball floated over.
"Is this the only Half-Orc tribe in The Chaos Battlefield?" George asked curiously.
This tribe was only ten thousand people. That was too small for a planet’s ruler.
Sean shook his head. "No. We are just one of many. And we are a weak one."
He paused, then added, "I will bring together other Half-Orc tribes and make an alliance with you humans."
Weak?
George didn’t think so. He had just entered The Chaos Battlefield, and he didn’t know much about the power structures here. But this Half-Orc tribe was definitely not weak.
The guy was probably afraid that George wouldn’t keep his word and would wipe them out.
George did have that idea. But right now, he wanted to take these guys in and fight the demon race together.
No matter what, he would never let Earth be destroyed.
"This is the battle that destroyed Planet Balaf. Watch carefully. It might help you." Sean said. He tapped the floating crystal ball in front of him with his staff.
A flash of light. The scene around George changed quickly.
Boom!
A terrifying explosion rang in George’s ears.
Now, he stood in a strange world, floating in the air. Below him, there were thick forests, and hundreds of Half-Orcs ran out in panic.
Boom! Boom!
The ground shook like ocean waves. Mountains cracked. Rivers flipped. The earth split apart.
George floated in the air like a spectator. He was joined by Sean and Obsidian Wraith.
"What’s going on? Earthquake?" George asked. This scene was so terrifying. It looked like the whole planet was about to break apart. It was impossible for humans to stop it.
"No," Sean said, his voice heavy with sorrow. "It’s not an earthquake. It’s Planet Balaf’s will being eaten away and destroyed."
"Is there no way to stop it?" George asked again.
Sean shook his head. He said nothing.
Crack!
Another big sound. The whole world shook again. This time, it wasn’t the ground that was in trouble. It was the sky.
The dark sky was torn apart by a terrifying force, revealing a huge crack.
Then, space turbulence flowed out, destroying and swallowing everything around.
George’s group’s images shook a little. But they weren’t pulled in.
Could this be stopped by humans?
George watched this scene, and a sense of helplessness filled his chest.
This wasn’t over.
Roar! Roar!
Loud screams filled the air. A bunch of space portals appeared. Countless monsters poured in.
They were demons!
George moved his mind, and his body flew higher into the sky. He looked down at everything below.
The ground was broken. The sky was torn. Countless monsters came. It was a world-ending disaster.
"What was that thing you said was even more terrifying than gods?" George looked around. He only saw common monsters. Not a single god appeared.
"It’s coming." Sean said. He waved his staff, and time sped up. Everything around them flashed by quickly.
George saw the native life of the Half-Orcs receive the blessing of Planet’s Will. Their power grew a lot.
Fundamental Power!
George was surprised. These blessings were pure Fundamental Power. He instinctively tried to absorb them, but couldn’t feel anything.
He was just a ghost. He wasn’t in the same time or space. He couldn’t absorb that Fundamental Power.
Then, the demon race Marquis and King arrived.
One of the Demon Kings had become a god, bringing even more destruction.
But the Half-Orcs had the blessing. Their power jumped dramatically. They couldn’t sense the Fundamental Power, but their attacks had some of it. They barely managed to hold off the Demon King’s attack.
"Here they come. We call them Shadow." Sean said, his teeth clenched.
In the broken space, dozens of figures appeared. They suddenly arrived in this broken planet.
Shadow?
George looked closely. These guys were huge, as tall as mountains. Some were even bigger than Constantine.
"This is also a will form," Obsidian Wraith said in surprise.
These Shadow monsters had a special kind of strength. It wasn’t Fundamental Power. They carried big axes. Every attack twisted space. Even the Half-Orcs who had the blessing of Fundamental Power couldn’t stand up to them.
"Did your world have any guardians?" George thought of something and asked.
"Guardians? What’s that?" Sean looked confused.
Did they not have any guardians? Or did the guardians disappear after the world’s will was eaten away?
No, the Fundamental Power of guardians wouldn’t be taken away.
George dismissed that idea. He could feel his own Fundamental Power wasn’t affected by Earth’s Will.
The explosions kept coming. Half-Orcs cried out in pain, being killed without mercy.
The world below was breaking apart, merging into the Abyss and the Chaos Battlefield.
But more were being swallowed by space cracks, turning into nothing.
"Master, what are these Shadow monsters absorbing?" Obsidian Wraith noticed something and said in surprise. "It’s will strength. These Shadow monsters are full world wills."
"What?" George was shocked. He asked in disbelief. "You mean each of these Shadow monsters represents a complete world?"
Obsidian Wraith nodded, his voice a little unsure. "It’s possible."
George felt a chill run down his spine. There were hundreds of these Shadow monsters here, and that wasn’t all. He couldn’t imagine how terrifying the strength behind them was.
Sean also spoke. "I told you. These monsters are terrifying. Their strength is on a whole different level. They’re basically unstoppable."
George didn’t pay attention. He just watched the Shadow monsters closely.
They had two horns on their heads. They wore black armor. They carried big, heavy axes. Their attack was simple: just pure strength crushing everything. Even space couldn’t take it.
Were these guys unstoppable?
George didn’t think so. Maybe in their own world, they were. But if they came to another world, they wouldn’t have the blessing of the original World’s Fundamental Power. If George was strong enough, he could kill them.
The explosions kept going. The world was breaking apart, being swallowed. It looked like hell had arrived.
Most of the life in this world was gone. Especially the Half-Orcs, who suffered the most.
...
After a long time, the battle slowly stopped. The torn space cracks began to calm down. But the sky was gray, with no stars shining. Only broken land remained.
Bzzz!
A wave of space strength. The space that had just healed broke again. But this time, no monsters came. The cracked space swallowed the broken land and merged into the Chaos Battlefield.
George watched this, his heart couldn’t calm down. A once-lively planet was destroyed in just a few days.
It made him think of Earth’s fate.
