Chapter 47: Chapter 47: I Suspect There Are Enemy Agents Here

Having received the complete infusion of the Technique, the artificially boosted Reiya had undergone an earth-shaking transformation. With just a few words, she suppressed the will of the assembled Dragons.

Might and violence brought the purest form of power. The Giant Dragon Execution Officers no longer dared to utter another word, completely acknowledging Reiya’s dominance. Status alone could never tame the proud Giant Dragons; in the end, it all came down to strength.

As expected, the Giant Dragons would be meek and subservient from now on.

Westheid, Reiya, and Yolanda each chose a Dragon Beast to ride. There was no helping it. After all, Reiya was not a True Dragon, nor was she a Legend who had reached the Anti-Gravity Realm. She could only use a Dragon Beast for transportation.

Fortunately, at this point, no Dragon would dare question Reiya’s identity or bloodline.

Riding a Dragon Beast was a new experience for the three of them, but not a difficult one. A firm grip on the reins was all it took to soar into the sky. The legion formed by the swarm of Giant Dragons ascended to the heavens, casting a terrifying shadow upon the land below.

As the leaders, Westheid and the others flew far ahead of the other Giant Dragons. The piercingly cold wind tore violently at their bodies. If not for the transformative ritual they had just undergone, they would have likely found it quite uncomfortable.

But now... it felt like nothing more than a gentle breeze.

"Reiya, it seems you’re slowly getting the hang of your abilities."

Westheid steered his Flying Dragon closer to the Silver-haired Dragon Lady’s mount and asked, "How does it feel?"

"I’m just acting on instinct. I can hardly say I’ve mastered it."

Reiya shook her head, flexing her fingers.

"It just felt natural to do it in that moment. I’d have a hard time replicating it, even if you asked me to right now."

"Instinct is enough. It is, after all, unique to... hmm, it’s a Talent that Originates from you. Just follow your feelings, and you’ll master it soon enough."

Even though Westheid clearly hadn’t shared in the Dragon Soul Furnace, he was already guiding the Silver-haired Dragon Lady like an experienced senior, clearing up her confusion.

"Go and fight. Go and kill. Hone your Talent in real combat. Don’t worry about the cost—the entire Dragon Race of the Kepal Plain is ours for the taking. Once you’ve more or less mastered this power, only then will you have a chance of contending with a Legendary Dragon."

"Fight a Legend?"

Reiya tightened her grip on the reins, her eyelids slightly lowered as she gazed ahead with immense gravity.

She had never once fought in her entire life, but not even a Legend could make her resolve waver for a single moment.

She would fight with everything she had.

’Let alone a Legend... even a god would be no different.’

No being could stop her determination to embrace the future.

Westheid led the Giant Dragons soaring through the sky. The first place they passed was a city not far from High Court. Compared to the luxurious and exquisite High Court, this city, built against a mountain of ore, was filled with magnificent, sprawling industrial structures. Huge, dark blast furnaces spewed thick black smoke, and scalding molten slurry flowed through pipes.

Westheid ordered, "Halt. I suspect there are spies from the Celestial Vault Kingdom here."

"Spies? This... That can’t be right, can it?"

Tudor clicked his tongue and said,

"This is Gavin’s Alchemy, the gathering place for most of our loyal servants. Many of them are Dragon Descendants, and they’ve always forged equipment for the legions. How could they be spies?"

Westheid said coldly,

"Hmph! You simple-minded fool. You think a Dragon Descendant can’t be a spy? At the end of the day, these lesser Dragon Descendants are just humans mixed with a bit of Dragon Blood. How can you possibly guarantee their loyalty?!"

"Besides, you think the enemy doesn’t have ways to disguise themselves as Dragon Descendants? Surely you’re aware of the Celestial Vault Kingdom’s technological prowess. Forging identities, transforming Dragon Blood, becoming a lesser Dragon Descendant—it’s child’s play for them. You haven’t forgotten the last battle, have you?"

"Right... I do seem to recall something like that."

The Giant Dragons recalled the Celestial Vault Kingdom’s miraculous technology. In several border skirmishes, they had even deployed biological weapons made to imitate Dragon Beasts. Faking the bloodline of a Dragon Descendant truly wouldn’t be difficult.

The black-haired, purple-eyed young man pounded his chest in frustration. "It’s precisely because of this lax and arrogant attitude that the enemy has managed to infiltrate the Dragon Realm until it’s riddled with holes like a sieve!"

"Now, gather everyone. I’m going to root out these spies!"

The moment Westheid finished speaking, Reiya looked at the Giant Dragons. "Are you deaf?"

"As you command..."

The Silver-haired Dragon Lady’s authority was at its peak. Besides, to the True Dragons, there wasn’t much difference between Dragon Descendants and humans. The former were merely byproducts of their casually released Star Universe; at best, they were slightly more pleasing to the eye, but in essence, they were still servants. There was no need to defy a superior Dragon over them.

So, the Giant Dragons roared and descended. The Dragon Descendant servants of Gavin’s Alchemy were utterly astonished by their masters’ arrival, and the menacing True Dragons herded all the Dragon Descendants into the central plaza.

A dense crowd of several hundred thousand people was quickly gathered. Meanwhile, Westheid landed on the ground, still mounted on his Dragon Beast. His gaze swept over the packed crowd as he announced in a loud voice,

"Enemy agents have infiltrated your ranks! Agents from the Celestial Vault Kingdom, who intend to subvert the great Dragon Realm! Every single one of you will be investigated. We must root out every last agent hiding among you!"

A commotion rippled through the crowd. Clearly, the sudden search left the Dragon Descendants, long accustomed to peace, somewhat bewildered. However, with the backing of so many Giant Dragons, they could tell this was an incredibly serious matter.

After Westheid had made a wide inspection of the crowd, the Giant Dragon Execution Officer came forward.

Tudor asked directly, "How do you intend to identify the agents? Is there any screening you need us to do?"

"No need. These agents from the Celestial Vault Kingdom have all undergone specialized training. Your crude methods won’t be able to root them out. Or are you telling me that you incompetent fools, who can’t even count your own population, have come up with some brilliant plan?"

Both shamed and enraged by the rebuke, they couldn’t offer a rebuttal. Their management of their domains was indeed that crude and arbitrary. They truly couldn’t tell one person from another. Who even knew how many people were in Gavin’s Alchemy? As long as things looked fine on the surface, they let it slide.

The Giant Dragon Execution Officer could only lower his head and say,

"Then what’s your brilliant idea?"

Westheid raised his index finger and began to speak with eloquent confidence.

"Therefore, I have a very simple method of identification. Since the agents from the Celestial Vault Kingdom have been embedded for so long, they most likely aren’t planning to resist with their own meager strength. Instead, they’re trying to undermine our war potential from the shadows. In that case, we just need to assign a production task. By observing which section is the most inefficient, we can pinpoint the enemy agents’ location."

’It seems to make some sense, but something also feels off.’

The Giant Dragons looked at each other, at a loss for words.

Westheid paid them no mind, declaring with a wave of his hand,

"Issue the order! We need to prepare for the coming war, and that requires a large number of Alchemy Bombs. Halt all current tasks and focus all efforts on producing Alchemy Bombs!"
