Season 4: Chapter 194. Knights (3)

News spread fast that Lackey ForeverAlone was watching the premiere live. With the embargo lifted, viewers swarmed across the internet like wildfire.

— BREAKING: Gi-Chan watching live LMAO

— ForeverAlone entered the chat

— WHY NOW OF ALL MOMENTS?

— This timing is biblical

— Black Tea needs to see this!

On screen, the Knights’ malicious strategy unfolded at the same time.

***

As Black Tea’s house burned, she and Lemon stared at the flames in horror.

The video froze, and the narration cut in. “Why did Black Tea’s house burn instead?”

— that FACIAL EXPRESSION

— WHY freeze right THERE?

— my girl is suffering, but it’s adorable

“Monsters always target whoever owns the most land. This is part of the balance system. Radish Servant held the largest private territory at the time, but...”

The video cut to static before the camera rolled back in time.

[A few hours earlier]

Bright and triumphant music played.

[Radish Servant]

Radish Servant appeared with a sunny and clueless expression, smiling like he had never sinned.

He said to someone unseen, “I’m selling my land.”

The NPC BigFarm stood before him.

— LMAO WHAT

— HE SOLD HIS LAND????

— WHY?

— THIS MAN IS UNHINGED

“You’re selling it back to me? But I can only buy at base price...” Even BigFarm felt stunned.

Who would sell back their land at the same cost?

“Yeah, I just don’t want rumors spreading. A quiet sale is fine.”

“Goodness... returning your land to society despite knowing that the value will skyrocket? What a saint you are...”

Ding~

[Bonus granted: Supporter Coin]

The screen froze, and the narration resumed. “Correct. Radish Servant sold every piece of his land. With Fertile Soil in hand, land size no longer mattered to him.”

Static rang out again. The scene cut to Almond, Radish Servant, and Potato Servant planning together.

Almond seriously raised one finger. “Sell during fear.”

— ??

— ?

— ???

— STOCK TRADING LOGIC

— No wonder Donuts lost

“My supervisor in the army loved stocks. He said that.”

“Ah...”

The scene cut to Radish Servant’s interview.

“I knew no one really said that. Who would’ve listened if I corrected him anyway, so I just stayed quiet.”

Then, it cut to Potato Servant’s interview. “Don’t you usually sell when you’re scared anyway?”

— DEAD

— his clueless face is a masterpiece

— I can’t breathe

The scene returned to Almond in commander mode. He didn’t understand the economics, but the result worked out.

[Yes, they knew Black Tea would be the next target. Almond’s plan...]

“Scare Black Tea into paying protection fees.”

“T-That’s mafia behavior!” Radish Servant panicked.

Almond calmly defended. “Landlords protected tenant farmers. The wiki says so.”

He was chillingly confident.

— DARK WIKI POWER

— technically correct = most dangerous

— feudal justification speedrun

[The only iron-armed faction, the Knights, would protect Black Tea from monsters, then profit from it. Radish Servant protested.]

“T-That’s literally extortion...”

The narration cut in sharply. “But someone else had another idea.”

The camera zoomed in on Potato Servant.

The voiceover dropped like a dagger. “I knew this was my moment. I couldn’t stay under him forever, right?”

Potato Servant leaned forward with gleaming eyes. “So, we attack Black Tea, right?!”

Almond blinked in confusion, then nodded, defeated by the enthusiasm. “Uh... yeah. Sure.”

[This was the spark that lit it all.]

The scene cut to Almond’s interview.

“I didn’t even mean to take it that far. I was only after protection money. That’s all, but then...”

— SO THE MASSACRE WAS AN ACCIDENT

— first behind-the-scenes reveal omg

— Almond did NOT intend terrorism, okay!

“Then I thought, hey, that sounds good?”

An ominous and comedically massive shadow rose behind Almond’s avatar.

— CG SHADOW LMAOOO

— Potato Servant always causes the downfall

— Birth of Feudal Korea right here

The scene fast-forwarded.

Whoosh.

[Hours later]

Flames engulfed Black Tea’s home. She and Lemon sprinted toward it. Monsters swarmed the place, clawing and screeching. They fought desperately, but the numbers crushed them.

“Kyaaa! Sis!”

The Awhoo Wolves dragged Lemon away.

“L-Lemon...!” Black Tea couldn’t reach her and screamed at the sky, “Where the hell are Green Tea and White Chicken!?”

DUN! DUN!

Epic music thundered. The blur of three silhouettes cut through the flames.

Shaaak!

“We’re here to save you, Black Tea!”

Steel split the wolves apart. Three figures in shining Iron armor stood before her, the silhouettes of heroes.

[Almond]

[SweetRadish]

[SweetPotato]

The Knights had arrived.

— God, the cinematics LMAO

— they look like Q-version chibi heroes but badass somehow

Static ripped across the screen and cut to Black Tea’s interview.

[How did you feel in that moment?]

Black Tea silently stared down. Then, barely whispered, “Someone donated and said something.”

[Said what?]

She didn’t look at the camera.

“My savior, who arrived to ruin my life.”

Thum, thum, THUM!

The music dropped like an avalanche.

— LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

— that line is iconic

— she fell and ascended at the same time

— don’t follow that path, queen!

The scene resumed dramatically and absurdly at the same time.

Radish Servant stepped forward, shaking with theatrical reverence. “Lord Almond, sovereign of this land, has come to save you himself!”

Potato Servant followed like a herald. “If you join us, we will grant you Iron gear and protect your land! All you must do is farm!” He added brightly, “And rename yourselves to be our Servants!”

Black Tea didn’t hesitate long. “At least, call me Maid Black Tea...”

THUD.

Her nameplate changed.

[MaidBlackTea]

— LOOOOOL

— the birth of the Tea Sisters

— Lackey ForeverAlone, if you’re watching, meet your elders

Lemon followed with a croak. “M-Me too! I’ll be Servant Lemon!”

Thud.

[Servant Lemon]

— Servant Lemon lmao

— naming convention powered by chaos

Static crackled as Black Tea and Lemon equipped the Iron armor that Almond had gifted them. They exchanged a look, and text appeared on the video.

[When the chance comes, we’ll betray them.]

[Okay, sis.]

However, reality ignored their script.

“KNIIIIGHTS!” Almond roared and charged.

They charged after him, instinct overruling their scheming.

“Forwaaaaaaard!!”

The music blasted with rock guitars, speed edits, and monster gore.

Slash. Crash.

The roars faded, and they won despite their home turning into ashes.

“Hah... Dammit.” Maid Black Tea took a deep breath, exhausted. “The house is gone.”

Her flaming house collapsed behind her. Only charred rubble remained.

Servant Lemon approached softly. “Sis... when do we betray them?”

“When the moment is right. Stab them from behind.”

“Okay.”

Static cut to the interview again.

[Were you planning betrayal the whole time?]

“Of course, I was Union born. Betrayal was always the plan. All I thought was, when do I stab them? How do I stab?”

[Then... why didn’t you?]

Only silence followed because Black Tea had tried and failed.

The scene resumed in the aftermath of the battle. In the rubble, Almond’s silhouette stood in the smoke. He turned and held out something.

It was radiant black soil.

“A gift,” he said.

“Huh?”

POOOM!

Fireworks exploded behind him. It was ridiculous, but emotionally moving.

“Welcome, Maid Black Tea.”

Behind Almond, black earth gleamed across the horizon. Fertile Soil was his gift.

— he’s Gatsby with a giant head LOL

— how do you betray a high salary and land distribution??

— even I’d cave ngl

The video returned to Maid Black Tea’s interview.

She hid her face. “I admit it. I wavered.”

— how could she not!?

— the soil was too good

“I didn’t think they’d give so much. I thought I’d just be used, but the Knights...” She looked up at the camera. “... looked good.”

— sobbbbbb

— Black Tea nooooo

— Villain romance??

Meanwhile, Gi-Chan watched episode four while chatting on his stream. His viewer count had skyrocketed past 170,000.

He didn’t blink, but his damp eyes shimmered.

“W-What... Lord Almond! I knew it! He’s amazing!!” He was nearly crying. “The Servant class only exists because of Sweet Potato! Almond never meant any harm. He wanted to protect us!!”

How could he have ever doubted them even once?

“He really is my lord!”

ForeverAlone felt like trash. He felt obligated to devote his soul to Almond now.

“Sniff...”

— BRO STOP PLEASE LOL

— Gi-Chan, please regain consciousness

— turn the stream off RIGHT NOW

— this must be performance art, right???

Then, the video cut to a different scene.

Bzzzt.

It was Almond’s interview.

Gi-Chan’s grin froze, and his eyes widened.

“What...?”

***

The scene showed a white background with Almond’s avatar seated. The text above read:

[You gave Black Tea a lot of Fertile Soil, right?]

“Oh, that...”

His smile looked sun-bright.

“I had to bypass the system.”

— LOOOOOL WHAT

— ??

— bypass the system?!?

[Did the soil just appear suddenly?]

“Yep. The quality was lower, but burned monsters also drop Fertile Soil.”

Additional footage showed Almond discovering the monster soil.

— Gi-Chan is DYING inside

— world-shattering lore drop 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

“I wanted it, but the system blocked me since it was on Black Tea’s land. I mined the edge and gave the rest to her.”

This was the undeniable truth. Gi-Chan shook his head. It was impossible.

‘No, no, no.’

“M-My... my lord wouldn’t...”

— THIS IS PAINFUL COMEDY

— internal_collapse.jpeg

— the day Gi-Chan lost God

Viewers flooded in. Every streamer was also watching episode four, including Black Tea.

Gi-Chan stared at the screen as his belief crumbled grain by grain. He was close to the truth now.
