Genius Noble With System-Chapter 452: War begins
Crack! Crack!...
One after another, space cracks appear all over the Empyrean Sword realm, and from those space rifts, dark, eerie auras gush within like floods.
"Haha... Sword Sovereign, come out. Aren’t you going to welcome me?"
From the largest of the spatial rifts, a shadowy figure emerged. Only a pair of blood-red eyes was visible within the darkness. The moment he appeared, the entire realm shuddered violently.
Countless lives across the Empyrean Sword Realm felt their hearts tighten as a sudden surge of negative emotions flooded their minds—fear, despair, hatred. A suffocating gloom descended, as though an invisible shadow had draped itself over every living being.
The sword sovereign, along with the ten thousand transcendent swordsmen sitting in the auditorium, heard the maniacal laugh that echoed through the world.
They all looked at the sword sovereign, waiting for what he would do.
He remained utterly calm, paying little heed to the owner of that voice. Instead, his eyes swept over the assembled swordsmen.
"It seems the enemy has arrived," he said evenly. "Let us go and meet them."
The moment his words fell, the tens of thousands felt no sense of movement at all. In the next instant, space itself shifted—and they found themselves suspended in the sky, standing directly before a massive spatial rift.
Within the space rift a shadow figure was standing whose aura was unfathomable; even the moment Apollo tried to look directly, his soul seemed to tremble, and numerous negative thoughts, chaos and bloodlust seemed to awaken within him.
But the moment those thoughts appeared, his eternal sword rule seemed to buzz, and instantly his mind became clear.
He staggered slightly, his back drenched in cold sweat. He had come perilously close to losing himself.
The same thing happened to many of the transcendent swordsmen. Faces paled, breathing grew ragged, and killing intent leaked uncontrollably.
At that moment, the Sword Sovereign moved.
A vast, profound, and mysterious power spread out of him, suppressing the restless emotions and banishing the invading darkness from every swordsman present. Calm returned to the battlefield as order was forcibly reasserted.
"Hmm. You finally appeared, sword sovereign. Today the Empyrean sword realm will cease to exist."
Instantly countless space rifts started to appear in the sky and filled with an abyssal dark eerie aura.
All over the Empyrean Sword Realm, from the numerous space rifts, the army of Abyss started to come out.
The world trembled under their arrival, as though unable to withstand such corruption. Yet the swordsmen of the Empyrean Sword Realm did not retreat.
Instead, they erupted with terrifying sword auras that seemed capable of cleaving heaven and earth themselves. Sword energy collided violently with abyssal darkness, the two forces crashing against one another and barely holding each other at bay.
"Tch. You won’t die so easily." The abyssal Sovereign said in a cold voice.
As his words fell, two more terrifying auras erupted beside him—clearly not much weaker than his own. They were unmistakably Sovereign-level beings.
One took the form of a half-human female, her lower body that of a monstrous spider, exuding a chilling, venomous presence. The other resembled an Asura—six arms, three faces, and a colossal, bulging body that stood hundreds of feet tall, radiating overwhelming savagery.
The moment these two appeared, they immediately locked onto the other two Sovereigns of the Empyrean Sword Realm, their killing intent forming an invisible cage in the air.
"Die." The Abyssal sovereign seems not to have wanted to waste time and locked the sword sovereign.
Boom!
The moment he burst out with his true strength, everyone from the Empyrean Sword Realm felt they were about to be crushed, but instantly Sword Sovereign made his move.
But before that force could descend any further, the Sword Sovereign moved.
"You are coming with me."
With a single gesture, he tore open a void dimension and forcibly dragged the Abyssal Sovereign inside. In the blink of an eye, both figures vanished.
At nearly the same moment, the other two Sovereigns—two from the Empyrean Sword Realm and two from the Abyss—also disappeared, ascending into higher dimensions. Their power was far too immense; the Empyrean Sword Realm simply could not withstand a battle at that level.
Sovereign left, but many transcendent and some supreme beings didn’t, and they also didn’t wait, as from the Abyss powerful enemies continued to come out.
"Attack!"
Bang! Boom! Bang!
The entire empyrean sword realm instantly exploded.
Apollo was given no time to react. Positioned on the front lines, he was immediately targeted.
In an instant, hundreds of abyssal monsters swarmed toward him, accompanied by abyssal generals whose strength was terrifying. The weakest among them were at the level of Eternal Gods, while the strongest had already reached the peak of half-step Transcendence.
He didn’t feel anxious as he calmly used his space rule and created a powerful space barrier around him, easily surviving the hundreds of attacks.
In these decades he didn’t simply improve his understanding of sword rules, but his cultivation and other rules also achieved major breakthroughs.
His realm also has reached the terrifying level of the peak of the eternal god realm. Now whether it was the energy, body or spirit, he wouldn’t lose to the new transcendent even without considering his overwhelming understanding of sword rules.
And that was not all.
His Space Rule had also broken through to the fourth layer during these years. Drawing inspiration from countless Sword Rules—many of which contained fragments of spatial essence—he refined his understanding even further.
After all, space rule was the foundation of every transcendent being; without grasping its principles, no one could step into that realm.
With his strength at the peak of the Eternal God Realm and his Space Rule at the fourth layer, Apollo alone was more than enough to contend with ordinary Transcendents—let alone just withstand the combined assaults of hundreds of Eternal Gods and half-step Transcendents.
He moved his hand, and instantly the space above him ripped apart like a sheet and turned into countless invisible and tangible swords.
"Die."
Boom! Boom! Boom!...
The space blades tearing through the sky rained upon hundreds of abyssal beings, killing most of them in an instant.
