Chapter 466: Improvement In Strength

All of the warriors from the Rion within the god ruins felt the tremor and the oppressive aura that shook their soul.

They have never felt such terrifying power and can easily guess that it was the power of a transcendent being or item that goes beyond their understanding.

All of them were excited and terrified at the same time; if it was treasure, then it was a chance, but if it isn’t then they were in deep trouble.

Deep within the ruins, in regions no one had dared to explore, ancient mechanisms began to stir. Long-silent formations faintly lit up, buried pathways shifted, and sealed structures cracked open as if responding to a forgotten command.

The God Ruins were changing.

Meanwhile, at the heart of it all, Apollo slowly calmed his presence. The ethereal pressure receded completely as he fully opened his eyes, his gaze clear and sharp.

He didn’t know what happened after he lost consciousness, but he was alive, and he seemed to have improved his strength. In that instant, he felt it.

The changes within himself.

First was his realm, which unconsciously seems to have broken through the half-step transcendent realm, as his inner world seemed to have evolved and expanded many times.

Along with his breakthrough, his physique and soul seemed to have further strengthened. And the strengthening wasn’t small, as now, just with his raw physical prowess, he can overwhelm ordinary first-order transcendents.

Even his understanding of various rules seemed to have improved, but what shocked him was he seemed to understand the time rule and have truly reached the first layer.

Previously he understood a bit of the mysterious power of time, but it was very far from reaching the first layer of rule.

Understanding the Time Rule was no ordinary achievement.

It was a domain typically reserved for sovereigns or the most terrifying supreme transcendents. Only beings who stood near the peak of existence could even begin to touch it.

And it was precisely because of this that, during his travels across realms and eras, those Sovereigns had immediately sensed something wrong about Apollo.

His presence did not belong to their time.

Now, with true comprehension taking root, Apollo finally understood why.

Reaching the first layer of the time rule, he can clearly perceive the flow of time around everything. He can easily judge others’ age, which is just the simplest ability.

He could reverse time.

He could halt it.

And under specific conditions, he could even bring the dead back to life.

Of course, such feats were bound by strict limits.

At his current level, time reversal could only restore beings below the God Realm. In other words, even the strongest Half-God could be returned to life—provided their existence had not been erased from the river of time.

As for time stop, he can stop the first or second level of transcendence, but it will be for ten thousandths of a second or even less.

A blink.

A fraction of a breath.

Yet in a battle between Transcendents, that fleeting instant was enough to decide life and death.

Apollo slowly clenched his fist.

The Time Rule was terrifying; even just at the beginning, it already placed him far beyond common sense.

His other rules all seemed to have improved, but the improvement wasn’t much. Still, overall, his strength has increased many times.

He cannot now even himself guess exactly what level of strength he had reached, as the difference in transcendent level is too great to comprehend, but he should be able to handle second-order transcendent.

As for Third-Order Transcendents...

Apollo was uncertain.

A Third-Order Transcendent stood at the peak of ordinary Transcendence, the final threshold before one could step into the domain of Supremes. Their control over rules, their refinement of existence, and their resistance to foreign rules were on an entirely different level.

If his Time Rule proved effective against them—if even a fragment of Time Stop or Time Reversal could bypass their defences—

Then victory might be possible.

But without the advantage of time’s rule...

Apollo doubted he could face a Third-Order Transcendent head-on.

However, no matter what, this sudden adventure to the empyrean sword realm, though dangerous, brought him tremendous improvement, which might have taken decades or even hundreds of years.

"Hmm." He then noticed the system reward which he had received when he was unconscious.

He focused inward.

A translucent interface unfolded before his mind.

[Reward – Primordial World Seed]

"Primordial World Seed?"

Apollo frowned slightly.

The name alone carried an ancient, immeasurable weight. He had never heard of such a thing.

Without hesitation, he opened the system’s internal space.

A vast, silent void unfolded before his consciousness. Within that boundless darkness, countless items he collected floated in stasis—but at the very centre, something else existed.

A single seed.

It was no larger than an inch.

Yet the moment his spiritual sense touched it—his mind trembled.

The seed appeared ordinary at first glance, its surface dark and textured like a dead seed. But upon closer inspection, he felt a very mysterious power, and for an instant he seemed to see an illusion of an infinitely large world; to be exact, it appeared to be an entire universe filled with countless worlds in this small seed.

Apollo’s expression slowly changed.

"This... is not an ordinary treasure."

But just as he was feeling shocked, the ancient origin sword that he brought back seemed to awaken suddenly.

A sharp hum echoed through the silent void.

Ancient runes along its blade lit up one after another, glowing with a deep, primordial radiance.

Before he could react, it slipped beyond his control.

A surge of mysterious power erupted from the sword, vast and unfathomable, as though something that predated heaven and earth had stirred.

The sword rose into the air on its own.

Then—

A beam of condensed mysterious energy poured directly into the Primordial World Seed.

Sccch... Sccch...

The sound was subtle, like embers igniting within eternal darkness.

The Seed trembled.

At first, the reaction was faint—barely noticeable. But as the mysterious energy continued to flow, the dark surface of the seed began to crack with fine golden lines.

The seed started to change, and with a small crack, the mysterious power of rules seemed to burst out from it.
