Genius Noble With System-Chapter 468: Troubles of Sacred Light Empire
Knowing this, his expression changed, as even though he became many times stronger, he didn’t think this god’s ruin was simple.
Even after a massive boost in his strength, he still cannot see through these ruins and landscape that seem to hide numerous secrets of an unknown era.
His spiritual sense spread outward like ripples in a still lake, yet it couldn’t pierce even the shallowest layers of the ruins.
The terrain twisted strangely under perception—mountains that seemed near suddenly felt distant, valleys appeared shallow yet hid unfathomable depth, and the air itself carried a faint distortion, like time and space had been folded and stitched together countless times.
He felt this and couldn’t help but sigh, as there are still things he needs to be careful of, but still he was confident, as unless the supremes came out, he could protect himself now.
With that in his mind, he moved forward as he was going to look for what secret was hidden in this land.
While Apollo was trying to find out about the god ruins, the warriors from the eastern continent that came with him were now in trouble.
The group centred around Crown Prince Lucifer from the Sacred Light Empire now seemed to be in trouble.
"Quick, leave this place—they’re coming."
The voice came from an Eternal God elder guarding the prince’s flank. His face, usually calm as stone, was now tight with urgency. His spiritual sense was stretched to its limits, scanning behind them again and again like a hunted beast listening for predators.
Lucifer’s jaw tightened.
He hesitated.
Just for a moment.
"Yes... but damn it, there might be a treasure ahead."
His gaze flicked toward the deeper end of the canyon.
There, the land dipped into a dark basin filled with collapsed ruins half-buried under ash-grey soil. Broken buildings filled with an ancient aura can be felt.
It was clear there was something extraordinary within it as they landed on this land after crossing one of three gates.
"Prince, we cannot take risks, as we still have to reach that place which is true treasure land for the empire." The eternal god elder quickly said.
"Alright, let’s leave," the Crown Prince finally commanded the group.
But just as they were about to leave, a flying bone dragon clad in armour of divine metal and black bones appeared.
Its aura was terrifying, as it seemed to have reached eternal god level and was even stronger than the early-stage eternal god.
Yet this alone wasn’t enough to truly frighten them.
Their group possessed several Eternal Gods. After all, they had gained many opportunities within the ruins. Quite a few peak True Gods had broken through, stepping into the Eternal God realm. Not to mention the old man guarding the crown prince, whose strength had also risen—now standing at the peak of the Eternal God level.
If it were only one bone dragon, they could have handled it.
But the real danger came from something else.
Because this bone dragon wasn’t alone.
A moment later, the sky darkened.
One after another, numerous bone dragons emerged, their skeletal wings blotting out the heavens as they descended upon them.
Each one has a terrifying aura surpassing an early-stage eternal god, and at the centre of these flying bone dragons was the biggest dragon, a black flame winged bone dragon whose aura seems to have reached the peak of an eternal god.
But what shocked them most wasn’t the dragon.
It was what stood above it.
A lone figure stood upon the creature’s spine, unmoving, as if carved from darkness itself. His armour was pitch-black, swallowing the light around it, and his eyes were even darker—bottomless voids that seemed to devour everything they gazed upon.
The death knight seemed to look down, and then his cold and deadly voice rang in their minds.
"You have the aura of those disgusting angels on you."
The voice was cold, but it was clear it was filled with contempt and killing intent.
"Die."
The death knight gave them no chance to speak. No warning. No hesitation.
The moment the word left his lips, the sky erupted.
The bone dragons roared in unison, their hollow jaws opening wide as endless black flames gathered in their throats. In the next instant, the heavens themselves seemed to collapse as torrents of abyssal fire rained down upon them.
"Quick, protect yourself." The elder peak eternal god roared, seeing this, and immediately all of them used various means to protect themselves.
The crown prince Lucifer and Prince Michael were protected by him with his extraordinary strength as an angelic golden aura protected them from destructive black flames.
The army that came along with the crown prince also immediately formed a sacred formation. Their combined aura then immediately manifested into immense golden angelic wings that enveloped them, turning fragile soldiers into an unbreakable wall of light.
The eastern forces were no easy prey either—especially those who had survived the brutal trials of the God Ruins. Each of them unleashed extraordinary means one after another, desperate yet resolute in the face of annihilating power.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The black flame breath of the bone dragon razed the land into a scorching land of death.
But most of them survived, as they weren’t ordinary warriors. However, they didn’t have a chance to breathe as the death knight’s eyes glowed with black flames and he drew his sword.
"You fucking lackeys of angels, you all should die." Its cold voice rang again, but this time it was filled with only killing intent. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
The death knight aura climbed along with the sword, which burnt with black flames. The very land grew heavy with an ominous presence, and from the sword, the law of death began to seep into the world.
"Death Wave".
With a single motion, he swung his blade, slashing through the air toward the crown prince and the army of the Sacred Light Empire.
A colossal wave of black flames erupted forward, fused with the rule of Death itself. It roared like an endless tsunami of annihilation, devouring space as it advanced. Wherever it passed, light dimmed, life withered, and even the air seemed to decay.
The massive wave crashed toward the Sacred Light Empire’s forces, carrying the inevitability of absolute death.
