Chapter 474: Truth of God Ruins

As the hundred fell, they seemed to stop, and from the mist behind them, a single person walked out last.

This Fallen was different from the others. Not only was its aura many times more powerful than that of the hundreds before it, but it also possessed six wings—three black and three golden—spreading behind it like a symbol of both darkness and light.

Apollo carefully felt his aura and instantly judged his strength. His strength has reached the peak of the second order, and he wasn’t an ordinary transcendent. But a transcendent who seemed to merge two very strong opposite powers.

His strength was definitely among the best in the second-order transcendent realm.

The Fallen—perhaps an angel or with some twisted origin—also seemed interested in Apollo.

His gaze lingered on him. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Apollo’s aura was extremely mysterious. Although he appeared to be only a half-step transcendent, the depth of power hidden within him was something only a true transcendent could vaguely perceive.

Even so, the Fallen could not fully understand it.

That contradiction made him frown slightly.

For the first time since ancient times, a trace of doubt flickered in his eyes—as if he weren’t entirely sure whether his senses were deceiving him.

Both of them seemed locked on each other, and instantly they seemed to invisibly compete with each other, which no one else than them understood.

But the moment their eyes met, a mysterious and overwhelming pressure descended upon the battlefield.

An invisible suppressive force spread outward in all directions like a collapsing sky.

Whether they were warriors of the Sacred Light Empire, fighters from the eastern continent, or even the Fallen standing nearby, everyone felt the terrifying pressure at the same time.

Their bodies trembled.

Their breathing became difficult.

One after another, they were forced to their knees as the unseen power crushed down upon the entire battlefield.

The ground beneath them cracked, unable to withstand the immense pressure.

No one could even raise their heads except the two.

"Who are you?" The transcendent leader asked, looking at Apollo filled with doubts and confusion.

"Why didn’t you introduce yourself first? Who are you, or what are you doing here?" Apollo, instead of answering, asked him.

He equally wanted to know more about what was going on and who they were or how they managed to combine the power of light and darkness in their bloodline.

The six-winged Transcendent remained silent for a moment, studying him carefully.

The valley was still under the invisible pressure of their confrontation, the warriors on both sides barely able to breathe.

Finally, the leader spoke again.

"You are... strange," he said slowly.

"You appear to be only a half-step transcendent, yet your presence feels deeper than even mine."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Such a being should not exist in this era."

A brief pause followed before he continued.

"I am Seraphiel."

His six wings spread slightly behind him, black and gold feathers reflecting the mixed aura of the valley.

"The captain of the fifth company of Legion Noah."

Apollo, hearing this, was lost in multiple thoughts: What kind of legion is Noah, and how many such companies are there, and what kind of power do they belong to?

"Legion Noah... what exactly is that?" His voice was calm but direct.

Then his eyes swept across the valley and the hundreds of winged warriors behind Seraphiel.

"And what is hidden in this valley?"

Finally, his gaze sharpened slightly.

"And this place... what exactly are these God Ruins?"

He was getting tired of unknowns and directly asked the transcendent, as he was the strongest guy he’d seen after entering the ruins.

Seraphiel was a bit surprised by such a question, as he didn’t seem to expect it.

"You didn’t know?... You aren’t from our era." His eyes showed a slightly surprised expression, but he quickly hid it, and for a moment only the silence remained.

After a moment of silence the aura of Seraphiel calmed down, and Apollo also followed him, which made others feel relieved.

Lucifer, the warriors of the Sacred Light Empire, and even the fallen soldiers finally felt the crushing weight on their bodies disappear. Many of them quietly released the breath they had been holding.

The pressure from the two beings had been overwhelming.

Seraphiel remained silent, his gaze still resting on Apollo.

Everyone waited. No one dared to interrupt.

It was clear that Seraphiel had not yet decided how to deal with the strange human standing before him.

More importantly—he did not seem eager to fight and only shows how terrifying Apollo is.

After the moment of silence Seraphiel talked. "Hmm, I don’t know from which era you belong, but we are from the eighth era and belong to the Empire of Dawn, one of the seven rulers of the eighth era."

"At its peak, the Dawn Empire was a true overlord, controlling multiple universes and having an army of countless powerhouses with five sovereigns ruling the universes."

Hearing that they had five sovereigns surprised him, as even the empyrean sword realm only had three.

Seraphiel continued, "As for these ruins, I do not know how they were originally formed," he said. "But I do know that this place is a special dimensional world—one that exists independently from the universal laws."

"Because of that, people from previous eras can survive here. I only know it is called the Forgotten Land."

His words caused the expressions of the warriors behind Apollo to change.

Seraphiel looked toward the depths of the valley before continuing.

"Within this dimension, no one knows how many ancient powerhouses are sleeping. Even a transcendent like me is nothing special here."

"There should be beings from the Seventh Era... perhaps even the Sixth Era... whose strength has already reached the supreme realm."

He paused slightly before adding one final sentence.

"And it is even possible... that a sovereign is sleeping somewhere within this place."

"Oh, sovereign." Apollo was a bit surprised that there were even possibly sovereigns sleeping here and this place can actually help ancient beings to survive the previous eras.

It seems this place is more complex than what he expected it to be.
