Yu Holea nodded and gave Jiang Lei the landline number of Qiao Mansion.

As they continued their journey back, the atmosphere inside the car was a bit tense.

Qiao Li, sitting next to Yu Holea, was visibly displeased with the way Jiang Lei was trying to get closer to her friend.

She could sense his intentions and wasn’t about to let him take advantage of the situation especially when her Second Brother was far away.

Without her realizing she has already started protecting Yu Holea not as her best friend but as her sister-in-law.

Jiang Lei, on the other hand, felt a bit awkward after Qiao Li’s response.

He realized that he might have unintentionally offended her, so he decided to change the topic to ease the atmosphere.

"Miss Yu, if you don’t mind me asking, how did you become so skilled in talisman-making at such a young age?"

He was indeed curious how even though Yu Holea was so young yet she was so talented.

Yu Holea said after some thought,

"The village in which I used to live, had an old man who lived in the mountains, he taught me all of this secretly. At first, I learned and didn’t believe it, but it was only after coming here that I realized that those skills are indeed true."

As for her proficiency in talisman-making, it was because she had practiced the 10 basic talismans for 16 years that she was so proficient.

Sometimes Yu Holea is shocked by how new this world looks to her even though she has lived for more than 26 years.

She wasn’t actually a 16 years old girl yet she behaves like 16 years old.

"Oh." Jiang Lei was impressed.

He asked the next question,

"So, Miss Yu, what are your hobbies other than talisman-making?"

Qiao Li interuppted,

"Take left turn from here."

Jiang Lei instantly said,

And took a left turn.

He then continued asking,

However, before he could finish his question Qiao Li said to him,

"Drive fast we are getting late."

"Oh! Sorry!" Jiang Lei said this and started driving the car fastly.

He was a little upset but since it was Qiao Li, he just stomach but his upsetness.

However, the next 10 minutes were just too depressing for him.

Whenever he tried to talk with Yu Holea, Qiao Li would interrupt him.

Even Jiang Wei in the passenger seat couldn’t help her brother and could only sigh helplessly.

Yu Holea assured her and went to change her clothes.

When Yu Holea came out of the shower she saw Qiao Zirui sleeping on her bed and she sighed helplessly.

This fellow treats her bedroom as his room.

At the same time, Yu Holea was a little emotional at the fact that how times change.

Just a month ago she thought that the Qiao Family only showed their gratitude by making her stay.

But now...

Just then she saw Qiao Li standing on the balcony and asked,

"Li what happened?"

Qiao Li shook her head and said,

"Nothing much."

Yu Holea stood next to her and looked at the tree in front of her room.

The two friends shared a quiet moment, the tension from earlier seemingly forgotten.

Qiao Li finally broke the silence, her voice soft,

"You know, Lea, sometimes I can’t help but worry about you."

Yu Holea smiled,

"I know, Li. And I appreciate it. But you don’t have to worry so much. I can handle myself, and I’m grateful for all that you and your family have done for me."

Then she thought of something and asked while looking at the tree in front of her,

"Li can I ask you something?"

"Hm?"

Yu Holea took a deep breath to suppress her chaotic heartbeat and asked,

"Li, what if you look at a person and feel your heart beating and become dazed seeing them? What if even though they are not in front of you and you start missing them?"

For Yu Holea it was a new feeling.

She wasn’t able to understand what she was feeling for Qiao Jun.

Sometimes she misses him but whenever he is in front of her, she doesn’t dare to look into his eyes.

She doesn’t feel aggrieved at small matters but she felt sad when Qiao Jun behaved strangely with her in front of others and she felt like crying when he didn’t even listen to her words.

Yu Holea was sure that in place of Qiao Jun if there was someone else she would have just talked back or just refuse to accept her mistake, or even if she did, she wouldn’t have felt so bad.

What was this feeling? She wasn’t able to understand and even after trying it out, she couldn’t figure it out.

Qiao Li turned around and asked Yu Holea,

"For whom are you feeling all of this Lea?"

Yu Holea hesitated.

For some reason, she was suddenly afraid.

She didn’t know the reason for her hesitation but she still muster her courage and said,

"Your second brother."

Qiao Li’s face changed and she looked at Yu Holea with an angry expression.

"Lea I trust you so much, my family loves you so much but you still dare to have such feelings for my brother? How can you be so selfish."

Yu Holea was stunned and she hurriedly said,

"I am sorry! I..."

Qiao Li interrupted her and said,

"Lea, I don’t want to say this but my second brother is someone whom you can never dream of."

Yu Holea felt like her heart was breaking and she only dared to say in a small voice,

"I...I am sorry."

However Qiao Li just looked at Yu Holea with disgust and said,

"Just leave from here! Don’t come back! I don’t want to see your face!"

Yu Holea was frightened and just then she heard a snapping sound.

"Lea?"

Yu Holea looked up and saw Qiao Li’s normal expression and she understood that she was having a illusion.

She heard Qiao Li ask,

"Lea? What do you want to ask?"

Yu Holea came out of her thoughts and said,

"Nothing. I just wanted to ask...if you have Jiang Lei’s number?"

Since she didn’t have any other else excuse and hence she blurted some nonsense.

What she didn’t know was her words were like a bolt of lightning, which froze Qiao Li.

Does her Lea have an interest in Jiang Lei?

No!

Or why else she would be asking for Jiang Lei’s number,

But to confirm that she wasn’t misunderstanding things, Qiao Li asked in a small voice,

"What do you think about Jiang Lei?"

Yu Holea frowned after hearing this strange question and replied after some thought,

"He is good."

When she said this Yu Holea remembered how Jiang Lei saved Qiao Zirui.

Qiao Li’s brows furrowed.

This can’t go on.

She has to inform her Second Brother.

Standing up she said to Yu Holea,

"Lea you go ahead I have to make a phone call."

Yu Holea was confused by Qiao Li’s sudden change but she still nodded and left.

As soon as Yu Holea left, Qiao Li made a call to Qiao Jun.
