Xiaoming looked at himself in the mirror after trying out the wedding dress in the morning. A smile formed on his lips, and he thanked the royal tailor for making it so perfect. ๐˜ง๐“‡๐’†๐—ฒ๐“Œ๐™š๐™—๐“ทo๐˜ท๐’†๐˜ญ.๐œ๐š˜๐’Ž

Sun Fuguo complimented Xiaoming and informed him that Liu Jin Yu was looking beautiful too in the wedding outfit.

โ€œReally?โ€ Xiaoming asked Sun Fuguo to describe about her, but he was unable to.

โ€œLeave it,โ€ Xiaoming said, and then asked them to wait outside. After he changed into the other outfit, he came to the main chamber. He handed his wedding outfit to Sun Fuguo and asked him to keep it safe.

โ€œYour Highness, the Sixth Prince was here earlier,โ€ Sun Fuguo informed Xiaoming as he took the wedding outfit from him.

โ€œDid he leave?โ€ Xiaoming asked.

โ€œYes, Your Royal Highness,โ€ Sun Fuguo replied, and lowered his head.

โ€œHmm. I will return later in the afternoon,โ€ Xiaoming said, and left to meet Lรณng Wei. It was a rare occasion that Lรณng Wei would come to see him.

As he reached the manor, he found it was quiet. He could hear the faint voices from somewhere in the manor, but he was unable to understand from where they were coming. He looked around as he continued to walk in the courtyard until he stopped.

.....

He saw Li Hua in the corridor with a maidservant. She was smiling along with the maidservant. However, when she saw Xiaoming, her steps came to a halt. She bowed at him and then both walked to each other. Xiaoming ascended the stairs and asked her about Lรณng Wei.

โ€œHis Highness has gone out earlier to meet the Crown Prince,โ€ Li Hua replied. โ€œWas he not there?โ€ She inquired in confusion.

โ€œBrother Lรณng Wei had come, but I was busy at work, so I could not meet him. By the time, I got free, Brother Lรณng Wei had already left,โ€ Xiaoming informed her. He told her that he would leave and was turning to leave when he stopped to say something.

He looked at her and thanked her for teaching Jin Yu the art of brewing tea.

โ€œPlease do not embarrass me with this,โ€ Li Hua said and lowered her eyes. โ€œIt was my pleasure that I could help the future Crown Princess,โ€ she affirmed with a polite tone before lifting her head.

Xiaoming smiled to hear those words. He wanted to praise her, but he didnโ€™t want her to get any wrong ideas. Moreover, the maidservant was around them, so it was not wise to say anything good to Li Hua. He took his leave while Li Hua pondered over where Lรณng Wei could go.

In the barracks, Lรณng Weiโ€™s presence wasnโ€™t welcomed. The high-ranking soldiers glared in his direction, but Lรณng Wei wasnโ€™t bothered by it. He wanted to see Hei Chengxi and tell him that he would meet him soon.

โ€œLรณng Wei!โ€ ๐‘“๐”ฏ๐‘’e๐˜ธe๐˜ฃ๐“ท๐˜ฐัตe๐š•.cเซฆ๐™ข

Qiu Mu called out his name, and he stopped. He turned to his right and tilted his head to look at Qiu Mu, who had approached him.

โ€œWhy are you here?โ€ Qiu Mu dropped honorifics.

โ€œDo I have to get the permission of the Second Prince to come here?โ€ He, instead of answering him, questioned him.

Qiu Muโ€™s jaw clenched. โ€œCanโ€™t you just answer simply? Why do you have to twist every word?โ€ He got irked with Lรณng Wei.

โ€œWhy does my words bother you so much?โ€ Lรณng Wei still not stopped from annoying Qiu Mu. He also didnโ€™t talk to Qiu Mu with respect.

โ€œLรณng Wei, letโ€™s not argue on this pleasant morning,โ€ Qiu Mu told him. โ€œYou are forgetting that in front of a General, how you must behave. This territory is mine, not yours, so donโ€™t flap your wings here.โ€ Qiu Mu had enough of Lรณng Weiโ€™s nonsense.

โ€œGeneral Mu, shall I throw the Prince out?โ€

A high-ranking soldier said as he walked to them. Lรณng Weiโ€™s facial expression turned into a grim one, and he gazed at that soldier.

โ€œMo Shin, thatโ€™s not needed,โ€ Qiu Mu stated, and asked Lรณng Wei to leave.

โ€œI wonโ€™t leave,โ€ Lรณng Wei said while glaring into the eyes of Mo Shin, and then, Qiu Mu. He turned to go ahead when Mo Shin stopped him by extending his hand out, which had a sword in it.

โ€œPrince Lรณng Wei, the rules arenโ€™t broken here. Please leave silently before I have to throw you out forcefully,โ€ Mo Shin stated as he scrunched his brows.

Lรณng Wei chuckled and took a step towards him. โ€œTry me,โ€ he challenged Mo Shin.

Mo Shin grabbed the collar of Lรณng Wei. He looked down at his hand and then gazed into his eyes. โ€œYou are either too brave to do this or you do not love your life,โ€ Lรณng Wei stated. They continued to glare at each other when Qiu Mu instructed Mo Shin to not behave that way with a Prince.

Mo Shin took a step back after releasing his grip on Lรณng Weiโ€™s collar.

โ€œI wonโ€™t forget this,โ€ Lรณng Wei told Mo Shin when Hei Chengxi came there and asked them what was happening.

โ€œNothing, General Hei,โ€ Mo Shin said. โ€œThe Prince was misbehaving with the Second General,โ€ he affirmed.

Hei Chengxi glanced at Lรณng Wei and then at Qiu Mu. โ€œHere, this is His Majestyโ€™s order. Gather the high military officials in the hall.โ€ Hei Chengxi forwarded the scroll to Qiu Mu, who took it and bowed.

Hei Chengxi asked Lรณng Wei to follow him, and they both left.

As they reached a private room, Hei Chengxi asked Lรณng Wei why he was in the barracks.

โ€œTo see General Hei,โ€ Lรณng Wei replied.

โ€œHave you finally made your mind?โ€ Hei Chengxi asked him.

โ€œWhy did you tell Li Hua everything? You know it well that it could be risky for her,โ€ Lรณng Wei stated.

โ€œIf I hadnโ€™t talked with your wife, then you would not have been here,โ€ Hei Chengxi stated.

Lรณng Wei didnโ€™t deny his statement and told him that he would meet him after the two days. โ€œI wonโ€™t entertain any questions on this,โ€ Lรณng Wei said, and turned to go away.

โ€œLรณng Wei, change your attitude. That will be better for you,โ€ Hei Chengxi advised him. Lรณng Wei didnโ€™t say anything and walked away.
