Gigolo Diaries-Chapter 12: Dragon Blood

Elaine’s eyes widened as his lips pressed against hers. The feeling was something she hadn’t experienced in a long time and it sent a pleasant shiver through her.

For a moment longer than she should have, Elaine allowed herself to sink into the feeling, her eyes slowly closing.

She had no idea what Lain had been doing while she was away, but it clearly wasn’t anything good considering the present situation.

The girl had definitely been trying to seduce Eros.

She knew she shouldn’t be enjoying this, and she was definitely going to feel guilty and ashamed for doing so later on. Still, her primal instincts seemed to have taken over.

Even when his arms slipped around her waist, she made no move to stop him.

Eros had only kissed her to silence her, but he quickly realised he was losing focus when his hands unknowingly found her waist.

This was neither the time nor the place for that.

From the corner of his eye, he could vaguely make out someone watching them. It was Gareth, and Eros could only thank the heavens that the guy didn’t make a sound; he just watched with his head turned towards them.

Shockingly enough, he didn’t seem surprised, just amused, as if he had expected this to happen.

Eros had no intention of putting on a show for anyone. He withdrew his hands from her waist and when his breath began to run short, he finally pulled away.

The taste of each other lingered on their lips as they both stared into the other’s eyes for a second too long.

Only when a cough rang out did they regain their composure.

Eros looked in the direction of the sound and saw Gareth flashing him a smile. He winced a little, but quickly ignored him and turned to Elaine.

She seemed to be in a trance as her expression was distant.

Only when he gently removed her hand from his settling cock did she regain her composure. She immediately realised where her hands had been and her face began to burn as her cheeks turned red.

As if to get away from everything, she buried her face in his chest.

He didn’t stop her. As much as he would’ve loved to tease her, he felt a little guilty for stealing a kiss from her without warning.

But more than that, the beasts they were now encountering were growing more and more powerful and he would need to pay more attention to the forest moving forward.

At some point, the beasts had almost broken past the frontline due to one of the knights’ carelessness.

Luckily they only encountered beasts and a few demons, the more powerful devils didn’t roam these areas. From Eros’ observation, the crew was made up of a couple of Awakeners and a few Adepts, who were a rank higher.

For people like them, these beasts and demons were nothing and the fact that most of them were of the common rank made things easier.

The rank of a nexus monster usually depended on its species, while its tier depended on age and talent.

The beast tier was the same as a human’s body cleansing realm, and their power level was usually similar. Although a beast with a higher rank would be more powerful than its apparent tier. It was how a dragon, even though it had the cultivation of a beast, would be able to fight awakeners and Adepts.

The group sighted a small clearing deep in the woods and Rachel suggested that they camp, rest and eat there before continuing their journey. No one had any objections, so they followed her lead and stopped at the clearing.

Up until now, the specifics of the mission were unclear to Eros and he doubted that he was going to get any more information on it, especially since he wasn’t really part of the mission, so he just decided to go with the flow.

The golden carriage was parked in the middle of the clearing and Elaine who had finally gotten hold of herself leapt off his horse and walked towards Rachel. Even then, she seemed to be actively avoiding his gaze.

The day was already growing dark so the others began setting up their tents, and also making fires to heat up the canned meals.

Eros didn’t have a tent to set up and also didn’t have any food with him, so instead of idling about, he separated himself from the rest of the group, and although he didn’t stray too far, he was soon out of sight of the camp.

He used the excuse of answering nature’s call to get away. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

He was back in the forest and surrounded by trees, and when he felt he was far enough, he took out the blood dragon manual and began practising the technique.

The basics of the technique were easy to understand, all one needed to do was temper their blood with nexus energy.

This process prepared the blood for the main technique. When a person’s blood was tempered with nexus energy following the methods in the book then their blood would slowly become thicker and more domineering.

Not only would this make their attacks more powerful, but one would also be less likely to bleed from a normal attack.

Eros, being in the body cleansing realm, didn’t have enough nexus energy to temper his blood. He tried a few times but even when he used up half of his nexus energy he wasn’t even able to get a reaction.

But that didn’t mean there were no changes, he could feel his blood slowly grow more viscous as time passed.

According to the manual, he would complete the preliminary stage when he was able to produce the dragon’s aura. This was an aura that was similar to that of a dragon, not only could it be used for intimidation but with it active, his power level would surge.

The day was no longer bright and twilight had set in, so he decided to head back.

The quiet rustling of the bush beside him caught his attention and when he looked, he found a small cat staring at him.

He hadn’t noticed its presence before, which was strange. The cat immediately turned and ran away, leaving Eros dumfounded. He stared at where it had vanished off for a while, but in the end, he just shook his head and continued heading back to the camp.
