Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 706: Plan to End
Chapter 706: Plan to End
The acidic fog began to dissipate, revealing the corpse of the Onslaught Bile Zombie King, its terrifying form slumped over in a pool of sizzling green liquid.
At this time, Asad approached it calmly, ignoring the hissing sounds beneath his armored boots.
Although the Zombie King was already dead, its corrosive acid was still there. Normally, they would have to be cautious getting near and inhaling too much of its smoke...
However, Asad’s physique had already changed after completing his Ascension Question. He was able to endure this quite easily.
As he touched the Zombie’s kin, a faint glow shimmered in front of him as the system prompt appeared.
[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ]
He narrowed his eyes at the pile of partially dissolved organs and burned armor fragments.
"Yes."
[ You have earned 3,000 Experience Points. ]
[ You have earned 50 Reputation Points. ]
[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x5, Zombie Cores x5, Unknown Meat (Safe) x20, 100mL King Zombie Blood, Corrosive Bone Blade x1, Spitter Gland Catalyst x1, Tyrant’s Heart Core x1, Mutated Acid Sack x1, Rotten Royal Insignia x1 ]
"That’s a lot... Is it also a 100% loot for the Zombie King?" Asad muttered. After all, only the Zombie Lords give 100% of their possible loot before. Below that level, the loot would depend on luck.
However, since there seemed to be a new ’update’, it wouldn’t be surprising if that was truly the case. Anyway, he could only ask Tundra later on about his loot and compare it to his.
For now, he was pleased by the haul. Most of the materials were incredibly valuable for crafters and researchers alike, especially the Tyrant’s Heart Core and Spitter Gland Catalyst.
After confirming that they were all in his inventory, he glanced at the other rewards he obtained, the Onslaught King’s Skill Scrolls. There were two of them, and he was excited to see them.
"...Let’s see what you’ve got," He muttered.
He tapped on one of the scrolls.
[ Do you want to use this Skill Scroll and learn a new ability? ]
"Yes."
The scroll disintegrated into motes of black-green light, spiraling into his chest. A searing heat surged through his bones as new knowledge etched itself into his soul.
[ You have acquired a new skill: Bile Barrage ]
Bile Barrage: Call upon the corrupted will of the Onslaught Bile King to release a barrage of acidic projectiles over an area of up to 20 meters. Each barrage rains down corrosive globs of bile that melt armor and apply Acid Burn for 8 seconds.
SP Cost: 450 Spirit Points per use
Cooldown: 60 seconds ]
"What the..." Asad was shocked as soon as he saw the skill he obtained!
It was definitely a powerful ability, but the cost was simply too much!
"Why is it so expensive to use? That’s already three Dullahan Knights." He muttered.
Dullahan Knight only costs 150 Spirit Points to summon, while a Skeleton King costs 500 Spirit Points.
"Hah... It’s going to be useless on me... I shouldn’t have opened it." Asad muttered with a helpless smile on his face.
Still, he realized that it was also perfect for crowd control... Because of that, he felt a little better, even though he would probably not use this Skill.

Minutes later, Asad stepped into the Command Tower of Eclipse Domain, where Shane was waiting.
The negotiations were over, and Reylin’s group had already left.
The glass panels overlooking the domain reflected the moving people as they started clearing the battlefield.
Shane looked at Asad, who had just arrived.
"How is it? Is it strong?" He asked.
"Yes... I managed to overwhelm it, but it may not be easy for the others. Tundra’s right, it’s approaching the level of a Zombie Lord. It’s probably a system update for those Zombies." Asad replied.
"System update, huh..." Shane gently nodded.
Then, Asad placed several items onto the table between them...
"These are some of the materials I looted from the Onslaught Bile King. Keep what you need..." Asad said simply.
Shane inspected the haul with a nod. "Corrosive Bone Blade... This could be reforged. Tyrant’s Heart Core—Anna will want that. As for the Skill Scroll..."
He paused, lifting the remaining scroll.
"Do you want it?" Asad asked. He didn’t mention what skill he had as he was thinking of surprising Shane later on.
However, Shane shook his head. "I’ve got plenty of Skill Scrolls from other Zombie Kings and Zombie Lords. More than I can use. But this? This would make an excellent reward."
He opened his Clan interface and added the scroll to the Eclipse Revenant Clan Hall Reward Pool.
[ New Reward Added: Onslaught King’s Skill Scroll ]
[ Requirement: Complete 10 Moderate-Level Clan Missions to be eligible. ]
"This will encourage more participation. Besides, I’ve been planning to rotate other scrolls as Clan rewards too," Shane added.
"I see." Asad leaned back slightly as he found a seat to rest...
"You’re still collecting Skill Scrolls even now?"
"Always," Shane replied. "This Apocalypse must be cleared not by an individual, but by a group of people... The more powerful our members, the better our chances when the true battle comes."
Shane mentioned this because of his experience on two other Apocalypses.
In the A.I. Rebellion and the Fairy Realm Apocalypse, he was the only human who had reached the end. He wanted that to change... In this last chance given to him, he wanted to clear the game with the members of his Clan.
Asad’s gaze lingered on Shane. "You still think the Apocalypse can be ended?"
"I know it can," Shane said firmly. "But not by playing defense forever. The answer isn’t just surviving—it’s reaching the source."
Asad already guessed this much... "There might be another Event coming soon."
Shane nodded. "I think that we’re getting closer. Have you heard about the cult? I mean the group who were calling themselves Eclipse Followers?"
"I heard about them from Diana..." Asad replied.
"That’s good... How about the Project Prometheus, Project Eclipse, and Project Icarus?"
