Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System-Chapter 53: Escape Route
Russel, Claire, Ralph, and others immediately informed the others about the Plan D!
The order was given, and no one hesitated. After all, none of them has a better plan!
"Move!"
It didn’t take that long before the plan was set into motion.
"Forget about the traitors. Proceed with Plan D... Quick! We don’t know how long our shelter can hold," Russel said as he clapped his hands.
The survivors moved quickly. They didn’t even bring any of their things and just quickly used the passage leader to the underground base.
They also didn’t want the enemies to have the chance to raid their shelter... so, Kai gave another order. As soon as everyone relocated, he actually collapsed the entrances of their shelter.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The thunder of destruction echoed through the underground, sealing off the paths that the Sentinels had already begun to swarm.
From the outside, it seemed as if the Artillery had succeeded and destroyed their base.
Just like that, dust and smoke filled the air, but the remaining residents were already in the secret tunnel as they moved to their last underground chamber.

They were guided by dim lamps, but it was enough to make them feel safer. Then, they continued walking for about ten minutes before reaching their destination.
"We’ve arrived..."
"This is a lot more spacious than I thought..."
"B-but there’s nothing here."
"I never thought that we had another secret tunnel here..."
"This is also my first time seeing this."
"I wonder what the end of this chamber is." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"It must be connected to the city or something."
They were all surprised at first, but none of them complained about the condition of the shelter.
"Don’t worry... This is just temporary until the Siege is over." Kai reassured the group as he looked around.
Previously, Haven-45 only had forty residents.
When Kai and the four others arrived, their population reached forty-five. However, after the death of the three previous leaders, their three guards, the elder, one unlucky scout, and the four traitors, there were only 33 residents...
Now, with Terrence, Aurora, and Jonas, they have 36 people left.
There weren’t many of them, but it made their temporary shelter seem small.
"Kai... You really did well ordering us to clean up that room." Victor whispered.
"That’s true... I thought you just wanted us to gather rocks or something." Claire added.
Kai chuckled at this and replied.
"I have Keen Sense Skill, remember? It gave me a hint on what to do."
He could understand their reaction as he also felt worried that his order at that time was useless.
At first, the collapsed chamber seemed like nothing more than rubble and wasted effort. But a narrow shaft had been revealed after a few hours of work.
The Elder had hidden it well, perhaps intending to use it himself, perhaps to keep it secret until the right moment.
Still, the place was dirty... There was the stench of stagnant water and rusted pipes filling their lungs.
The walls were slick with moisture, and the faint trickle of sewage could also be heard. It wasn’t a place meant for habitation, but it was hidden, and that was all that mattered.
They set up a temporary camp in a wider chamber where broken pipes and collapsed stone created a crude shelter.
Thankfully, Kai had plenty of Tents prepared that they could temporarily use.
As for the food and water, that was not a problem with Kai’s Talent...
"We just have to wait it out..." Kai muttered.
They knew the Mech Siege lasted seventy‑two hours, and more than a day had already passed. If they could remain undetected for two more days, they might survive.
At this point, there wasn’t much Kai could do, so he decided to get to know Terrence, Jonas, and Aurora better...
They had come from Haven‑15, a shelter that had already fallen.
Kai knew little about them, only that they had survived against odds that should have killed them. If he was to lead effectively, he needed to understand their Talents.
He approached them as they sat together near the edge of the chamber.
They had just finished setting up their tents when they noticed him approach.
"Thank you for sheltering us... and for the tents and food. We will do our best not to be a burden to you." Terrence said.
He looked weary, but he still approached Kai calmly...
Jonas and Aurora also stood up and introduced themselves.
Kai crouched before them. "You three are new here. If we’re going to survive, I need to know what you can do. Your Talents. Your strengths. Everything. That way, I can assign you some work, especially if you have production talent or combat skills."
Terrence hesitated, then nodded. "My Talent is Pathfinder. It lets me sense safe places, guides me instinctively. But it’s not perfect. It costs Spirit Points to activate, and I don’t have many left. Right now, I can’t use it again."
Kai’s eyes narrowed with interest. "A Talent that finds safety..."
Jonas spoke next. "Mine is Iron Stomach... It is a Superior Rank. I can digest a lot of things, including glass and metal. Normally, it won’t have any other effect aside from alleviating my hunger, but there are some items I eat that give me a special buff..."
"What? Isn’t that an incredible talent?" Kai muttered. The others who were secretly listening were also shocked at this.
"If I can trade this for a Combat Talent, I will do so." Jonas replied.
Then, Aurora finally spoke... and she didn’t seem happy about her talent at all.
"My talent is called Plant Enthusiast... For now, it helps me grow plants and crops a little faster. But don’t expect too much. It’s just Uncommon Rank." She weakly said.
"That’s still impressive. I’m sure all of your talents will be useful to us. As long as we work together, we can survive this." Kai was not great with speech or words. However, he genuinely believed that their talents would be useful, and they felt it.
Soon, Kai learned about the Augmented Humans and the existence of the Spirit Stimulants that could restore 10 Spirit Points!
