Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System-Chapter 90: Field Tyrant Hunt
Kai believed that they had a chance to win this...
If this were unwinnable, he would immediately order his people to just hide and escape from them. However, with Atom on their side and the various combat strategies they formed... He knew that they had at least 70% chance or more of succeeding in this operation.
He turned to Ralph. "We’ll proceed with the plan... Your assault team will target the Spyders first. They’re the eyes of this formation. Without them, the Sentinels will be easy picks."
Then, he turned to Claire. "Your team waits until the Sentinels are distracted. Once they break formation, you strike hard and fast. Terrence, you’ll lead the push. Don’t hesitate to use all our ammunition."
Soon, they looked at the A-Grade Sentinel beside Kai.
"And Atom?" Terrence asked with a smile. He already knew what it had to do.
Kai looked at his flawless mech, standing silently.
"Atom will engage the Tyrant directly. It’s the only one that can withstand that cannon. While Atom keeps it busy, we’ll dismantle the escorts."
The survivors exchanged glances. It was a dangerous plan, but it was the only way.
Kai’s heart beat faster as he watched the Spyders slowly showing themselves with their long-barreled weapons angling outward.
Then, one of them paused with its optics glowing brighter... It was scanning the ruins in their direction!
’Shit...’
The silence stretched for some time, but then, the Spyder let out a piercing mechanical screech! It seemed to be giving some signal, or perhaps, it was breaking any signal jammer.
Just like that, the Sentinels immediately adjusted formation with their rifles raised.
Kai clenched his fist...
’We’ve been marked.’
"Ralph!" he called.
Ralph didn’t hesitate as soon as he heard the signal!
"Team A, suppress the Spyders! Move!"
Ten revolvers snapped up at once.
Ralph’s ranged unit broke from cover and spread out along the collapsed highway as they aimed at their targets.
Then, the first volley thundered across the ruins!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bullets slammed into the rubble where the Spyders were stationed...
To their surprise, the machines actually ducked back behind cover!
"Hmm?"
Kai watched as shards of stone and dust flew as their preemptive attack was avoided. However, it was alright as it gave them information...
’What? Is their armor weaker than I thought?’ Kai paused, remembering how the Sentinels had stood firm against the gunfire without even trying to dodge.
However, it seemed that the Spyder Rangers weren’t as impressive as them.
Still, these units answered immediately. Their long‑barreled rifles lit up, firing precise beams of energy!
One shot scorched the pavement inches from Ralph’s boots, leaving a glowing scar in the concrete. Another beam clipped a survivor’s shoulder, spinning him to the ground with a cry of pain.
"Keep firing! Pin them down!" Ralph shouted.
His team obeyed, laying down continuous fire.
Meanwhile, Claire crouched with her close‑combat squad, waiting...
The Sentinels had tightened their circle around the Tyrant as they moved towards their location...
Apparently, they were moving slowly, matching the speed of the Field Tyrant instead of just charging forward on their spot.
Thankfully, that didn’t last long... As soon as Team A’s gunshots grew heavier and one of the Spyder Ranger units was almost destroyed, their formation shifted.
Two Sentinels broke off, advancing toward Ralph’s position to silence the ranged unit.
Claire smiled as she saw this. Of course, she waited until they got closer before she made her move...
"That’s our cue. Team B, with me!"
Her squad rushed forward from cover while Terrence led the charge.
Clang! Clang!
The clash was immediate as they didn’t want the two Sentinels to have a good position to shoot Ralph’s group. Furthermore, being closer to them would make the A.I. unable to shoot their own kind!
Terrence swung hard, smashing into a Sentinel’s arm and knocking its rifle aside.
Claire then followed with a strike on her own, driving her blade into the Sentinel’s chest plate!
It was not destroyed as she didn’t get the familiar notification, but it was definitely on the verge of shutting down!
"Do not get out of the formation! Stay!" Claire shouted.
The other Sentinels tried to retaliate, but the sudden assault broke their formation. The circle of Sentinels around the Tyrant was finally gone.
In the meantime, Kai just watched the battlefield unfold as planned.
Soon, as the enemy unit was about to cause trouble, Kai made his move...
"Atom. It’s your turn now..."
The flawless mech beside him stepped forward... Soon, its sensors locked onto the Field Tyrant.
Perhaps, it sensed Atom’s presence as it turned towards the unit.
Then, Atom moved.
The ground shook as the A‑Grade Sentinel rushed forward, closing the distance in seconds.
The Field Tyrant raised its cannon and fired at the small threat that was approaching its range.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Just like that, a blinding beam tore through the ruins, blowing apart a section of collapsed highway...
At the very least, it seemed that someone would take care of the mess he made.
Atom didn’t stop. Its shield arm absorbed the blast, glowing white-hot from the impact. With a surge of power, Atom slammed into the Tyrant!
Still, the survivors gasped as the two imbalanced units were actually holding swords!
"Atom’s holding it!" Terrence shouted, with awe in his voice.
Kai’s eyes stayed on this fight....
’Good. Keep it busy. The rest depends on us.’
Ralph’s team kept firing at the Spyders. One of the machines tried to reposition, leaping across rubble, but Ralph’s marksmen tracked it. A volley hit its leg, severing the joint.
Then, more suppressive fire was shot, and soon, the Spyder Ranger collapsed!

"First one down!" Ralph yelled.
Then, Claire’s squad pushed harder against the Sentinels. Terrence drove his blade through another unit’s chest, pulling it free as the machine fell. Claire also fought back and even gave a decisive slash that cut off a Sentinel’s arm.
But the enemies weren’t so easy this time!
For the first time, the Sentinel stopped using rifles or blades and used stun grenades and other cheap tricks that they learned from other humans.
