Chapter 64: Chapter 63:

Lev’s gaze remained fixed on the young man in the distance, flames flickering faintly around his body as his breathing slowly steadied. The earlier excitement in his eyes gradually dimmed, replaced by a rare hint of thoughtfulness.

Deep down, he understood that anyone who had managed to hold onto a Primordial Star Core Fragment up to this point was no ordinary opponent. Surviving this long meant strength and experience. And if they chose to continue fighting here, especially after such a massive clash, it wouldn’t remain a one-on-one battle for long.

Lev exhaled slowly, the flames around his body calming as his battle intent faded. He cast one last look at the young man and noticed something he hadn’t paid attention to before—the faint instability in the lightning surrounding him, the subtle strain in his stance.

He wasn’t in perfect condition either.

Without hesitation, Lev turned his head slightly and glanced at Seth.

"...Let’s go."

Seth didn’t respond immediately, but the grip he had on Lev’s shoulder loosened. A moment later, he released him completely, already understanding the decision.

In the distance, the young man watched them closely, his gaze fixed on Seth and Lev as they prepared to leave. It didn’t take him long to understand their intention. After everything that had just happened, after such a massive clash, there was no reason for them to stay any longer. They had already made their decision.

Yet, despite realizing this, he made no move to stop them. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to—if anything, a part of him was unwilling to let them go just like that. But his body no longer allowed it. The violent clash from earlier had pushed him far beyond his limits.

The lightning surrounding him flickered unsteadily, no longer carrying the same overwhelming presence as before, and the faint tremor in his stance betrayed the true extent of his injuries.

Compared to Seth and Lev, his condition was even worse.

A trace of bitterness flashed across his eyes as this realization settled in. If he had known from the beginning that the two of them would be this troublesome—this strong—he would never have chosen them as his target.

Not only had he failed to obtain the Primordial Star Core Fragment, but he had also pushed himself into a severely injured state, leaving him in no position to continue the fight.

In the end, he could only stand there in silence, watching as they prepared to leave, unable to stop them... and forced to accept it.

"Leaving so soon?"

Just then, a voice drifted over, ethereal and resonant.yet carrying an unnatural weight that seemed to press directly against the mind. Invisible ripples spread through the air, distorting the atmosphere as they swept over the ruined ground. Even Seth and Lev felt the pressure, their movements halting instinctively as a subtle force pushed them back half a step.

Before either of them could react a streak of gray energy tore through the air.It shot straight toward them with terrifying speed.

Seth and Lev moved almost at the same time, their figures blurring as they dodged in opposite directions. The attack slammed into the ground behind them.

Boom—!

The impact shattered the already fractured earth, sending debris flying in every direction.

The two of them didn’t relax for even a second. Their eyes sharpened immediately, scanning the surroundings.

Not far away, a tall man had appeared silently, as if he had always been standing there. His clothing was strange, unfamiliar, and his presence carried a faint but oppressive weight.

A smile slowly spread across his face as his gaze locked onto them.

"What luck to actually run into someone carrying a Primordial Star Core Fragment."

Seth’s expression turned cold instantly.

"You’re here for the fragment too?" Seth asked, his voice calm but sharp.

The man chuckled, clearly amused.

"Heh... what’s the point of asking?" Just hand it over quietly... and maybe I’ll let you die a little faster."

The moment those words fell, his aura suddenlyexploded.

Without any warning, a two assive axe materialized in each of his hands, their edges gleaming with a dull, ominous light.

The ground beneath his feet cracked and the next instant, he was gone.

Boom—!

He shot forward with terrifying speed, his figure turning into a blur as he charged straight at them.

Seth and Lev both sighed inwardly at the same time.

Their luck... was truly terrible.

They had just decided to withdraw and avoid unnecessary conflict, yet before they could even leave, another opponent had already arrived.

They had just decided to withdraw and avoid unnecessary conflict, yet before they could even leave, another opponent had already arrived.

Lev’s eyes sharpened the moment the man charged. This time, he didn’t bother dodging. A fierce glint flashed across his gaze as he planted his foot firmly into the shattered ground.

Flames surged violently along his arm, gathering into his right hand as he drew in all his remaining strength. The air around him warped from the heat, and in the next instant, he drove his fist forward without hesitation.

A massive fist of fire erupted outward, roaring across the battlefield like a blazing comet. The sheer force behind it distorted the air, leaving a trail of scorching energy as it surged straight toward the incoming attacker.

The man, however, didn’t slow down in the slightest. A faint smirk tugged at his lips, as if he found the attack almost laughable.

Without breaking his stride, he raised both arms and crossed his twin axes in front of him, their edges gleaming coldly as he prepared to take the blow head-on.

He had no intention of retreating.

To him, this was nothing more than a minor obstacle—something he could crush through effortlessly before continuing his advance toward Lev.

The distance between them vanished in an instant. The blazing fist crashed into the crossed axes.

BOOM—!!!

A violent explosion of fire erupted outward, swallowing the man’s figure completely. The impact shook the ground beneath them, sending cracks racing across the battlefield as a wave of heat surged in all directions.

Flames roared like a living beast, devouring everything in their path.

For a moment it looked like Lev’s attack had overwhelmed him.

But them a sharp glint cut through the flames.

Clang—!

The fire split apart.

From within the inferno, the man stepped forward, his twin axes still crossed in front of him, their surfaces glowing faintly red from the heat—but intact. His body hadn’t even been pushed back more than half a step.

His smirk widened.

"Not bad."

Before the last word fully fell he moved again.

Boom—!

The ground beneath him shattered as he surged forward again, his speed even faster than before. In a single breath, he closed the remaining distance, one of his axes swinging down in a brutal arc aimed straight at Lev’s head.

Lev’s pupils shrank. He reacted instantly, flames bursting from beneath his feet as he twisted his body to the side. The axe tore past him, missing by inches.

BOOM—!!!

The ground exploded where it struck, a massive crater forming instantly as debris shot into the air.

Lev didn’t stop there.Using the momentum, he drove his elbow forward, flames condensing around it as he aimed straight for the man’s ribs.

But the man’s reaction was just as fast.

The second axe came up.

Clang—!

The two forces collided again, fire and raw strength crashing together at point-blank range. The shockwave blasted outward, kicking up dust and shattered stone as both figures were forced apart slightly.

Lev slid back a few steps, his boots grinding against the ground as he stabilized himself, flames flickering violently around him.

The man, on the other hand, only shifted his stance slightly, his grip on the axes tightening as his gaze sharpened.

Now he was finally taking this seriously.

From the side, Seth watched the exchange unfold in a single glance, his eyes narrowing slightly as calculations ran through his mind.

As the battle dragged on, the difference began to show. Lev, already heavily injured from his earlier clash with the lightning-wielding young man, could no longer maintain his peak condition.

His movements, though still fierce, had lost a fraction of their sharpness, and against an opponent of this level, even the smallest flaw became dangerous.

The axe-wielding man quickly seized the advantage. His attacks grew more aggressive, each swing carrying crushing force, forcing Lev to retreat step by step.

Sparks and flames burst with every clash, but the pressure continued to mount, steadily pushing Lev into a disadvantage.

Seth, watching from the side, immediately understood the situation.

Without hesitation, he raised his right hand toward the sky. Dark energy began to gather around him, swirling slowly at first before rapidly condensing. In just a few breaths, a small sphere of pitch-black energy—no larger than an apple—formed above his palm.

But Seth didn’t stop there. His expression remained calm as he lowered his hand, pointing directly at the man locked in combat with Lev. His left hand came up to support his right wrist, stabilizing it as more and more dark energy poured into the sphere.

The small orb began to change.

It grew denser. Darker. Heavier.

The space around it distorted faintly, as if unable to withstand the concentrated power within.

Then,With a single thought the dark energy sphere shot forward. It didn’t travel like a normal attack.

It vanished.

All that remained was a thin streak of black light cutting through the air, so fast that it was almost impossible to follow.

The man who was locked in combat with Lev suddenly felt a chilling, deadly aura surged from behind him.

In an instant, every hair on his body stood on end, a primal warning screaming through his senses.

Danger.

Real danger.

His expression changed immediately. Without hesitation, he forced Lev back with a powerful swing, creating just enough distance to react. The moment he broke away, he turned sharply.
