Global Game: Developing a Knight Clan-Chapter 183 - 157: Ultra-Large-Scale Battle, Players Enter the Stage, Tier Nine Imminent
Karte Continent, Phantom Sea City!
"With this move, His Highness intends to fully announce our arrival to the wicked Alien Race of this world!"
"Capturing this city of great significance will also serve as His Highness’s official declaration of war against them. We absolutely must make this a beautiful victory."
The Demon Beast army from Dawn City continued its march toward Phantom Sea City.
Meanwhile, Amos and the Saint Tier Magical Beast, the Black Feathered Demon Leopard, had already broken away from the main force, arriving in the skies ten thousand meters above Phantom Sea City.
As Amos finished speaking, the Black Feathered Demon Leopard, Graham, immediately nodded.
"As it should be."
"However, the Alien Race of this world is certainly not weak. Isn’t His Highness being a little too aggressive with this approach?"
"Of course, I don’t doubt His Highness, or even the plan of the entire Dragon Race. But Amos, you know as well as I do that it’s difficult for us Saint Tiers to maintain our current state for long."
Amos looked at the Demon Leopard, Graham, and gave a serene smile.
"Rest assured on that point, Graham."
"You must understand, there are still five Saint Tier Magical Beasts guarding the Demon God Hall, yet His Highness dispatched you to this world."
"If you think about it, you’ll realize His Highness must have had his reasons for sending you. He certainly wouldn’t let his most accomplished subordinates fall into a predicament."
The Demon Leopard was taken aback, then his eyes suddenly lit up.
’That’s right.’
’How could the three of us possibly be used as cannon fodder?’
’When it came to offending His Highness and Amos, the Aurora Bird ranked first, and the Golden Beetle was a close second.’
’But the Golden Beetle is fine now, even left to guard the Demon God Hall.’
’So, the three of us being sent to this world must be part of His Highness’s plan.’
’Merit brings rewards.’ The Demon Leopard, Graham, was instantly reminded of the Forest Giant Elephant. At the thought, a strange, excited gleam filled his leopard eyes.
Of course, the Black Feathered Demon Leopard had considered this possibility from the start.
He just wondered if His Highness would truly bestow the life-extending Power of the Dragon Race’s Bloodline for merely destroying a city that lacked a Saint Tier presence.
Feeling apprehensive, he decided to ask Amos again.
It was his way of getting a second confirmation.
"His Highness is merciful. You are truly fortunate, Amos, to have earned his favor. What incredible luck~"
"It is all merely fate’s decision. Perhaps it was inevitable."
Amos didn’t wish to elaborate, and the Demon Leopard, Graham, knew better than to press the matter.
At this moment, from their vantage point, the Giant Demons’ Phantom Sea City was quite vast.
Stretching along the coastline, the city spanned more than ten kilometers in length.
The port was extraordinarily busy, teeming with people. Most of them, however, were Human Race slaves, as they performed nearly all the manual labor required for shipbuilding.
The more skilled labor was left to the common Giant Demon technicians.
Its population and prosperity far surpassed that of Farm City or Copper Hammer City.
Furthermore, as they surveyed the area from above, Amos and Graham discovered a substantial number of Giant Demon villages and towns that had sprung up around the city.
The Demon Beast forces they had mobilized were certainly powerful enough to break through the defenses and annihilate these Giant Demons.
However, some were bound to slip through the net.
The territory was simply too vast; it couldn’t be helped.
It was just like when Lince had conquered Farm City; even as York and the Demon Beasts mopped up the surrounding towns, quite a few of the enemy managed to escape.
After all, there would always be some who were away from home or had found a good hiding place.
Besides, the Giant Demons themselves possessed considerable Extraordinary Power and various Extraordinary Artifacts.
Though few Giant Demons might escape, there would always be some.
Fortunately, Lince had no intention of concealing his actions from the start.
Case in point: Phantom Sea City was already on alert. The gleam of Magic Barriers had even appeared over the main city and its surrounding towns.
But for Lince, this just meant things would take a little more time.
’How many High Tier Giant Demons could two cities possibly have?’
’And now, he, Lince, possessed dominion over the entire Demon Beast Mountain Range.’
’He had over three hundred High Tier Magical Beasts under his command, including nearly sixty Tier Nine Magical Beasts.’
’More than enough to deal with two Giant Demon Cities.’
’What’s more, the Governor of the ’Colony’ cities in the Giant Demons’ southern territories was currently away.’
’Could there be a better time than this?’
Lince didn’t care whether the Giant Demons’ three main cities had reacted yet or not.
He wasn’t short on Saint Tier Magical Beasts, either.
Besides, the Giant Demons were still on an expedition in another world. Lince felt that even if their remaining forces in this world reacted, it would only be enough to fuel his own advancement to Saint Tier—or even higher—in a short amount of time.
So, there was nothing more to be said.
As the Demon Beast army began to storm one Giant Demon village and town after another, the alarm bells in the two main Giant Demon cities were already ringing wildly.
Unfortunately for them, once Amos and the other Saint Tier Magical Beasts took action,
the cities’ so-called Magic Barriers proved to be no different than paper!
A Saint Tier existence meant one had transcended the mundane to become sacred.
Strictly speaking, they could no longer be considered mortal life forms, no matter the world.
Their station was somewhere above mortals, but beneath Deities.
The Power of a Saint Tier being is of critical importance; they are the ultimate fighting force in any Mortal War!
Whichever civilization possessed more Saint Tier beings would inevitably hold the greatest advantage in a Mortal War.
Of course, this wasn’t always the case.
After all, if a Low Demon World achieved an industrial level comparable to Blue Star and possessed advanced magi-science research, while Saint Tiers might not be a dime a dozen, there would certainly be no shortage of strange and powerful artifacts.
