Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons-Chapter 120: Level Up! Level 16 Necromancer.
Thoren averted his gaze from the direction where the rat was hiding.
Before he had ventured deep into the Uncharted Territory, he had already been ambushed twice.
First, there were the five Level 16 Awakeners. Now, a mysterious Awakener lurked in the shadows, observing him like prey.
Since the appearance of the beast tide, he had sensed that something was wrong.
Just like the emergence of the Dark Tide before it, these were not events that should have occurred—at least not yet.
He had survived a Dark Tide.
Now, he had survived a Beast Tide.
"It’s only a matter of time before I uncover the people behind all of this," he whispered, a sharp glint flashing deep within his silver eyes.
He shifted his attention to the rows of notifications flickering before him.
[Experience Gained +30,000]
[Summoned Entities +15,000]
[Spirits +12]
[Copper Coins +300, Silver Coins +10]
[Level Up!]
[Level 15: (85,170/75,000)]
[Level 16: (10,170/91,000)]
[Attributes Gained +5]
"Finally... I’ve leveled up," Thoren murmured, a smile of satisfaction curling at the corner of his lips.
With each level gained, he moved one step closer to his ultimate goal. Now, only four levels remained before he could complete the First Floor.
After that, he could ascend to the Second Floor.
And beyond that... he would finally have a chance to leave the Abyss and return to Earth.
To see his parents again.
To clear their crushing debt.
To take them away from the suffocating slums that had chained their lives to misery.
His gaze shifted back to his stats. He focused on the unassigned attribute points and made his decision without hesitation.
"The higher my Intelligence, the easier it will be to control them," he mused quietly.
He allocated all five attribute points to Intelligence.
[Intelligence 35 (+5)]
[Intelligence 40]
Instantly, a strange sensation surged through his mind. It felt as though his brain had expanded, swelling with clarity.
His thoughts sharpened. His reasoning accelerated.
Connections that once required deliberate contemplation now formed naturally.
He no longer needed to linger over problems. Understanding came swiftly and effortlessly.
In addition, he noticed his memory had improved significantly. Details he might once have overlooked were now crystal clear.
"With my current Intelligence, I won’t have difficulty controlling even more undead simultaneously," he concluded.
"Just as I thought..."
His smile deepened with satisfaction.
Now, his stats appeared as follows:
[Name: Thoren Starfall]
[Occupation: Necromancer]
[Rank: Iron]
[Level: 16 (10,170/91,000)]
[Attributes: Strength 20, Agility 14, Constitution 19, Intelligence 40, Perception 27, Charm 12]
[Spirit: 74.44]
[Skills: Undead Summoning, Bone Manipulation]
[Talent: EX-Rank Undead Space]
[Sub-Talent: SSS-Rank Soul Lantern of Eternal Crypt]
[Abyss Market: Unavailable (Available at Bronze Rank)]
[Unassigned Attribute Points: 0]
[Inventory]
Thoren nodded with visible approval.
"Spirit, seventy-four... I should be able to reach one hundred before I ascend," he murmured thoughtfully.
But the notifications did not end there.
Several others belonged to his undead servants.
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
Among his undead, many of the weaker ones had advanced during the brutal battle. Most of the Level 14 undead servants had risen to Level 15.
However, what truly caught his attention were the two Assassin Skeletons.
They had advanced to Level 13.
"This is good," he muttered, his voice tinged with genuine pleasure.
Although none of his higher-level undead had broken through yet, their experience bars had advanced significantly.
It was only a matter of time before they leveled up as well.
The thought made his eyes flash with anticipation.
"I can’t wait until they all reach Level 20."
Just imagining a legion of Level 20 elite undead under his command sent a thrill through him.
With such power, he could walk sideways across the First Floor without fear.
Even upon ascending to the Second Floor, he would possess enough strength to protect himself.
His gaze hardened with determination before settling on the corpse of the Iron Roar Komodo.
"It’s time you joined my legion."
[Undead Summoning.]
He activated the skill without hesitation.
A powerful wave of necromantic energy erupted from beneath the Iron Roar Komodo’s corpse, seeping into its massive body.
The lifeless frame trembled slightly.
Then it began to move.
[Bone Manipulation.]
Thoren activated his second skill in quick succession.
As the komodo’s corpse stirred, its shattered bones shifted unnaturally. Cracked limbs realigned. Broken ribs slid back into place.
Necrotic energy seeped into every fracture, mending them one after another.
Within five seconds, the enormous Iron Roar Komodo stood upright once more.
But its molten-orange eyes were gone.
In their place burned hollow sockets filled with intense soul fire.
The once-ferocious overlord now radiated an entirely different aura—cold, silent, and obedient.
Thoren studied the undead Iron Roar Komodo with a faint smile tugging at his lips.
"I’ll play along with this..."
Those targeting him believed they were overwhelming him. They wanted him to feel the difference in power between them.
But their plan was flawed from the very beginning.
Thoren possessed the EX-Rank Undead Space. He could store an army within it. With sufficient Spirit, he could turn any living being into an undead servant.
And now, they had conveniently delivered a Level 17 Iron Roar Komodo into his hands.
Instead of weakening him, they had strengthened him.
"Now... let’s see where the rat is hiding."
A playful grin spread across his face.
Since the appearance of the beast tide, he knew something was definitely not right. But when he found the Iron Roar Komodo, his suspicion was further proving right.
Thus, he began to search the surrounding and it was not long he found the rat. But he choose to ignore him for the time being while focusing on the battle.
But now...
With a swift movement, he mounted the Undead Mad Dog Mistveil.
At the same time, he withdrew all his undead servants, including the newly revived Iron Roar Komodo into his Undead Space.
The basin fell silent once more.
Ash drifted lazily through the heated air.
But Thoren’s deep blue eyes gleamed with cold amusement.
The hunter had finished his harvest.
Now, it was time to hunt the one who thought he had been watching unnoticed.
