Cain read through the description of the {Fang of Gluttony}.
Compared to other weapons he had gotten or currently possessed, this one by far had one of the longest descriptions, maybe even the longest.
And that was because the weapon was special.
It had come from the body of a being that was feared by gods. It was created by a divine Forgemaster too.
Staring at the blade, he realized it fit rather snuggly in hands.
The skills attached to the weapon were rather unique too. The first two skills were rather strange. {Devour} was linked to the stats of the weapon itself.
The more things the weapon ate, bthe stronger it would grow.
{Morph} on the other hand was more peculiar than the first. It could take on any shape the wielder wished.
Right now, it looked like a black dagger made from the teeth of some eldritch nightmare. This was probably the original form of the dagger.
The skill had obvious limitations, such as the size and shape of the variations. However, when its power grew with {Devour}, the upper limit would increase correspondingly.
The last two skills on the other hand, were more like conditions to use the weapon.
{Price of Gluttony} was a skill that made sure once the blade started its growth, it would not stop growing until it consumed everything.
If the wielder of the blade stopped feeding it, it would eventually consume its master, leaving it without a master, allowing it to start the process all over again until it met someone worthy.
{Soul of Avarice} was also a skill of inevitably. As long as the weapon was kept fed,the dormant soul of Buldokak within it would eventually awaken, forcing the weapon to evolve.
He let out a sigh as he placed the weapon back into the {Armament Armory}.
Then he slowly stood to his feet. Roselle rose to hers as well,
"Let’s go meet the others."

The circular floating platform in the sky was now less occupied.
Scattered around the central lake were lone individuals and groups of creatures, some big, some small.
However, one thing they all had in common, was strength.
Those who had survived the first two trials were by no means weak, each one at least possessing strength at the peak of the first Tier, or in some cases, greater.
Cain felt a few glances on his as he walked by, but he didn’t mind. Roselle followed closely behind him, her eyes covertly scanning the crowd.
Eventually, he spotted the huge back of Asteron after a few minutes of search.
He calmly walked over.
There, he saw the {Wind Drake} having a conversation with Avalon, and Thern by his side.
Susan, Jenny and Evangeline also stood there, but they were not the only ones.
As though he had sensed his presence, the {Wind Drake} turned around,
"I see you have finally awoken, Cain."
He paused for a moment, then continued,
"And I can also see that you made quite a few gains from the second trial."
Cain grinned. Indeed, besides the other benefits he had gained, his mana pool had also ballooned significantly.
The dew drops of golden mana was that had wormed their way into his spirit had forced his capacity and Ley Lines to expand. As such, the amount of mana he could contain, as well as that which he could put out had increased by at least twice the previous amount.
He frowned, ’That golden mana is rather unique.’
Physically occuring mana could manifest in many forms. It could manifest in its most common, raw form, or it could manifest as god ash. In this case, the form this mana took, was a viscous golden liquid that smelt of nectar, its aroma incredibly tempting.
Each form of mana also had special properties.
He nodded, then stared at the {Wind Drake} a bit as well,
"You also seem to have gotten a few gains yourself."
Asteron puffed his shoulders proudly,
"As a creature with dragon’s blood flowing in my veins, this much is only to be expected after all."
Then he turned and gestured to a creature standing opposite him. It had a huge lanky body with long grey arms and four eyes.
"This is Midread. A member of the Gnat race. They are a subordinate species to my Wind Drake clan in the Godly Realm."
Midread blinked his four eyes and nodded at Cain.
His voice was scratchy and rather unpleasant to listen to,
"Although you are human, I trust Lord Asteron’s judgement."
Cain gave the terrifying looking creature a nod.
Asteron spent some time introducing the other creatures around them.
Cain nodded periodically, but wore a frown in us mind,
’I see. He’s introducing us to their alliance.’
Although they had all entered the trial separately, it seemed they were all fairly acquainted with one another, even though it seemed rather distant.
For some reason though, they saw a need to group up.
’Maybe they suspect the third trial will be more of a group activity.’
He couldn’t pass that idea by as well.
Once Asteron was done introducing him, he turned his attention back to other matters. Meanwhile, Cain and Roselle moved to stand beside the other three.
He spoke to Evangeline in a hushed tone,
"Tell me all I need to know."
She glanced at him, then shrugged,

"There isn’t much to it, I guess."
She paused for a moment,
"Asteron suspects the creature’s from the Godless Realm that aren’t to proud plan to group together. If they do, it won’t look good for them."
"So they are forming an alliance of their own." Susan added.
Cain nodded with a frown,
"I see. And we have no choice but to join in with them, it seems."
If it would get one side of his back, Cain had no problems joining an alliance. For Inez he knew how powerful Asteron, Avalon and Thern were. Even if the other beings from the Godly Realm were half as strong, it would still be a good thing.
’The next trial is the trial of the All-seeing Sword Maiden. It might be one to test combat ability. If that is the case, then individual combat power will be important.’
Cain was starting to see a trend with these trials.
By his calculations, there were still a few more days till the trials were over. They still had some time left.
Once these trials were over, they would be able to complete the final requirement for completing the Trials of Heaven.
’Kill a Star.’
He still had no idea what or who this star was. But he would find out.
Eventually...
"I will not yield on this one thing, Asteron!"
A loud roar came from the other direction. Following it was a tremendous surge of bloodlust that might as well have been considered a physical phenomenon.
Cain looked up and stared at the one-eyed axe wielding creature staring at them with eyes filled with malice.
He pointed the axe at them— no, not at them.
It pointed it at the stone faced Evangeline.
In a loud voice, it bellowed,
"I want the head of that one, Asteron. I will join you then and then only."
