Grand Ancestral Bloodlines-Chapter 2279 Epilogue - Sarriel’s Redemption
Chapter 2279 Epilogue - Sarriel's Redemption
"You waited to come and get me last?"
The voice was slightly annoyed, the post-sex glow not doing very much to help the situation at all. Sarriel looked as though she wanted to blow another hole through Ryu.
"Take it as a little punishment," Ryu said with a grin.
It was funny and more than a little bit cute that she was trying to be so angry with him… but it was also a little bit impressive that she managed to still put on such a stern face when her knees were literally pinned to the sides of her ears right now.
If nothing else, this little wife of his sure was stubborn, and it seemed she was getting better at resisting the effects of his skills.
For now, anyway.
Ryu pulled back and bit, then dropped in. Sarriel's legs trembled out of her control, her eyes almost snapping back to their whites, but she just barely managed to hold onto some of her rationality.
"I was trying to help you! And you punished me for that!"
"You were being willful. I could have beaten them all without you doing that, but even now you're still so stubborn. I just had to teach you another lesson."
"Yeah? Is that why you're fucking me on the back of a star right now? How very romantic of you."
Flares of red, yellow, and gold danced around them, but the two were entirely unaffected.
It was true that Eska had grown to be the most powerful on her own, but that was because Sarriel technically wasn't on her own. In fact, she was the only one of Ryu's wives that had a piece of him the entire time, because he had returned the eye she had given him and formed a new third eye.
Because of that, Sarriel actually ended up with the ability to see through Fate and Karma. From the time she was born in this timeline, she knew exactly who her husband would be.
But funny enough, that made her stubborn in a way that was much more abrasive than Ailsa was.
Ailsa knew she had a Life Partner, but the culture of the Faeries made that the norm. By comparison, the Fey weren't like this at all.
In her stubbornness, Sarriel wanted to go out and find the perfect man on her own, but every time she compared them to the memory of Ryu that was seared into her mind from the time she was a child, she realized that none compared.
Ironically enough, that journey led to her falling deeper and deeper in love with Ryu every moment of every day. Every figure she thought might be close to him just ended up being so wholly inferior that there didn't seem to be a point in competing at all.
Then, at some point, she began to just wait for Ryu to finally come around and pick her up, but the asshole never came.
And she was far too arrogant to come to him, so instead she began to stay as far away from him as possible.
The two ended up punishing each other, but it was Sarriel who was the most annoyed by it all… while the irony of it all was that either of the two could have found the other whenever they wanted.
"I'm sorry," Ryu said softly, kissing her forehead. He stopped pinning her legs back and allowed them to fall to his waist. They wrapped around him seamlessly as he pulled her up.
Kneeling on the back of a star, Ryu wrapped her waist up in an arm, brushing her hair back slowly.
"I needed a piece of myself in the outside world to finally break out of the time loop. You were the only one strong enough to do it, you were the link of Truth I needed. Together we fooled the Heavenly Court once, and then this time we fooled the Heavens together."
Sarriel pouted and looked away. Of course, she could understand this as well.
Much the same way… Ryu truly owed her a lot… and he planned to spend a lifetime rewriting that wrong no matter what.
He would give her happiness.
"Then you need to make it up to me by giving me a baby," Sarriel said softly.
"Of course. I'll give you hundreds," Ryu grinned.
"Thousands."
"Whatever my wife wants, she will have."
Sarriel smiled, wrapping her arms around Ryu's neck and kissing him deeply, her hips beginning to move almost involuntarily.
But then she suddenly pulled back again.
"… I've suddenly realized that you're a huge source of trouble in my life. If we were ranking you, would you be the worst husband of all time?"
Ryu's lip twitched. "That's not true."
"It's not? If you weren't hogging all of Sacrum's Fate, would my Moon Clan have even fallen in the first place?"
"Ah, semantics."
"There's nothing semantical about the extinction of a race, husband. Why don't you tell me how many other races you've exterminated?"
"Um… how about we talk about the races I've created instead?"
"What? You mean like the Fiends? That's all you."
Ryu rubbed his nose a little bit.
Were the Fiends him? Well… if all his Good Karma and accumulation of Fate formed Hope's race, it was inevitable that all that Bad Karma would form something else.

"More semantics."
Sarriel burst into laughter, her breasts rippling beneath the fiery light. It was truly a sight to behold, one that Ryu quickly found himself getting entranced by.
"Look at you, slobbering like a little baby boy. You just destroyed the Heavens and now you want to pat your ass and be on your way as though you did nothing at all."
Ryu grinned, giving one of Sarriel's nipples a peck and a slight flick of his tongue.
"The Heavens can wait, I have to please my wives first. So what if it collapses? I'll hold up the skies."
"While everyone else died?"
Ryu's grin only widened. "It's okay, we'll have enough babies to replace them all."
"That sounds a little incestuous."
"You know, that's the second time I've been accused of something like that. I think another punishment is in order."
Sarriel squealed and the star beneath them shattered beneath their passion.
