Gravity Mage with Level-Up System-Chapter 1383: Evil Wizards attacking again!
From MC's Perspective:
As time passed, I continued to wait for her. When night fell.
Boom!
I heard a booming sound coming from deep within the underground mine. My eyes gleamed with excitement.
If I'm right, there must be a 10th order monster or above living down there. If I had gone deeper, the risk of dying would have been higher, though I had Gregor Mansion with me.
I'm reluctant to use it here. I want to experience the life-threatening danger so that I can progress further. If it were truly a do-or-die situation, I wouldn't hesitate to use Gregor Mansion.
Swoosh!
Shortly afterward, Hellen appeared out of the underground mine unharmed, smiling as if it were business as usual.
Before I could say anything, I found myself disappearing from the spot. In a flash, we returned to the glass villa.
She walked inside the room. I thought about the reward before following her. I came to the living space and looked at her.
Hellen sat on the sofa. She hadn't expected to see the emergence of the 10th order Black Mud Monster earlier. Fortunately, she had dealt with it before it caused any serious problems.
She then turned toward Vincent Carey, her eyes flashing with surprise.
"This kid has survived the monster tide for a couple of hours," she thought.
Because she knew it was not easy. The Black Mud Monsters range from 8th order to 9th order. A large tide of such beasts can overwhelm any wizard seeds.
Yet Vincent Carey remained unscathed. She couldn't help but imagine the actions of other wizard seeds in her mind. In her opinion, they couldn't handle the attack from such a large number of monsters at the same time.
On the other hand, I furrowed my eyebrows. I could tell that she was pondering.
"Alright, you've done a good job. Take this magic scroll. It has one magic spell attack of mine stored inside," Hellen uttered after taking out the magic scroll.
Hearing that, I was stunned. Then I accepted the magic scroll and put it inside the storage bracelet.
"Since you have passed the test, here is your parcel. You can give it to Lord Erwin," she said before taking out a packed box.
I don't know what's inside, but I put the parcel inside the storage bracelet as well.
"Thank you, my lady. I'm leaving right now," I said to her.
Hellen nodded her head. She didn't think there would be any danger ahead because no one had caused any incident previously.
Shortly afterward,
I exited the villa and started walking back to the main gate. I didn't expect the test to end so easily. The monster tide had caught everyone off guard. It was a blessing in disguise for me.
Because my magic spells are efficient against large groups of targets, I dealt with them easily.
Soon, I came to the main gate. The guards recognized me.
"Wizard Seed Vincent, are you leaving this time?"
"Why can't you wait for the morning?" one of the guards asked.
"It's okay; I don't want to waste time here," I replied.
The guard didn't find it wrong. Then I booked the flying cab and waited for it to arrive. The guards started to strike up a conversation with me.
I responded with an enthusiastic smile as well.
Meanwhile,
"Target is here!"
"Get ready!"
"He appears to be waiting for the cab."
The group of evil wizards communicated with each other. The three Level-9 Evil Wizards took command.
They gave orders to the Level-8 Wizards. Their job was to go ahead and hide, then intercept the cab. The Level-9 Wizards would appear at the appropriate time to end Vincent Carey's life.
Swoosh!
In a flash, a couple of shadows left. They were going to wait for Vincent Carey ahead, while the three Level-9 Wizards decided to follow the cab from behind.
If anything occurred along the way, they could change their plans.
About 20 minutes later,
The aircab came to a stop. I nodded to the guards before putting on a mask. Then I started walking towards the cab to enter. After sitting in the back seat, I told the driver to reach the Silver Tower.
The middle-aged driver was taken aback. Then he saw the mage robe, and a look of understanding dawned on him. The Black Mine is under the control of the Silver Tower. It's normal to see Silver Tower's people here.
Then he started to drive.
Swoosh!
The cab hovered above the ground before moving toward the destination.
Not long after the cab left, the Level-9 Wizards started following discreetly. They never expected their task to be this easy because they saw the newly famed wizard seed traveling alone.
Now they were more convinced that the new wizard seed came from a humble background. They could take action without worry.
As long as there was evidence left behind, the Silver Tower wouldn't be able to find the killer. The Evil Organization behind them had taken a bet.
They didn't think a dead genius could rile up the Silver Tower Wizards.
A few minutes later,
The flying cab was soaring over the empty land. It was night. Apart from the cab, there was no other flying vehicle on that particular route.
Sitting in the cab, I lost my thoughts.
[Ding! Immediate Danger!]
[Ding! Host is advised to use Gregor Mansion.]
Hearing that mechanical voice, I immediately used Gregor Mansion to appear inside.
Boom!
The flying cab was engulfed in huge red flames the next second. The middle-aged cab driver didn't have time to scream. He was reduced to ashes along with the cab.
Swoosh!
The three Level-9 Wizards and other Level-8 Wizards dressed in black appeared in front of the debris. There were ashes all around.
Everyone saw one person engulfed in flames before being reduced to ashes, but they never saw their target. The confused wizards looked at each other for confirmation.
But everyone saw one of them burnt to ashes. There was no sign of Vincent Carey whatsoever.
"What happened?" one of the Level-9 Wizards asked.
They saw the red glow from a distance as well. The Level-8 Wizards explained, but the Level-9 Wizards found it unbelievable.
Because they saw Vincent Carey get into the cab earlier, they didn't see any magic fluctuations earlier, which meant Vincent Carey was inside the cab during the explosion.
"Could it be a teleportation scroll?" one of the Level-9 Wizards asked.
"It must be a teleportation scroll. Go and spread out in different directions to find him. He must be hiding somewhere," the other Level-9 Wizard said.
Swoosh!
Hearing that, the Level-8 evil wizards split in different directions to look for the wizard seed. When everyone was gone, the three evil wizards looked at each other.
The appearance of the teleportation scroll surprised them. Then they spoke to each other before each disappearing in different directions.
Meanwhile,
Inside the Gregor Mansion, I watched them from the control room. My eyes turned icy. I hadn't expected to encounter assassins this soon. Are they from the Black Tower? Or is it the work of the Meteor Wizard?
My mind was filled with doubts. But right now, I should leave this place and return to the Silver Tower. I could easily spend another day here.
But I didn't want to do that because I sensed the strength of the wizards was between Level-8 and Level-9.
I could handle them easily. Besides, I had the magic scroll given by Lord Hellen. Her Level-10 magic attack could kill everyone.
Swoosh!
I appeared outside. Standing in midair, I asked the system to scan the surroundings. The next second, the system replied, "There is no threat around you."
Hearing that, I started flying toward the Silver Tower.
About 10 minutes later,
[Ding! Three Level-8 Evil Wizards detected ahead.]
A mechanical voice sounded in my mind. Then I started to look around before detecting the magic fluctuations.
My mouth curved into an arc.
Swoosh!
I continued to flee in the direction of the Silver Tower. The next second, I found three wizards blocking my path ahead.
"Hey. Here is the target!"
"Kill him before others can share in the spoils."
"Do it right now!"
The evil wizards spoke one after another.
Before they could attack me, I cast the 5th stage of the magic spell.
"Gravity Domain!"
The next second, a pitch-black circle enveloped all four of us. The evil wizards were startled. They didn't know what was going on.
When they cast their magic spells, their magic circles shattered the next second. Inside the gravity domain, the opponents' magic wouldn't work.
Boom!
The evil wizards were dumbfounded by the scene. Before they could think further, the power of gravitational force struck their bodies.
Aaahhh!
The unimaginable pressure immediately shattered their bodies, breaking their bones and inner organs.
In a flash, their whole bodies were crushed into bone fragment pieces. In the end, not even ashes were left of them.
After killing them, I canceled the spell before continuing my journey.
