Max cut small branches and bushes that were on his way. The goal that Lily chose was 200 meters away from their starting location. However, the straight path toward that location was filled with vegetation.

"How long have we been walking?"

"5 minutes."

"And we haven't reached the destination yet?" Max grunted in frustration as he cut the bushes in front of him. "The forest is too dense. Now I understand why they said hell is waiting for us."

— Hehe, he tasted leaves hell.

— It's only the first layer of hell in Survival to the End.

— More is waiting for you. It WiLLnoTeND!

— Dude, learn how to type. It's hard to read MF!

Just like Max, Lily also grunted in irritation as she cut all the leaves that were on her way.

"I shouldn't have chosen that spot. We better follow the animal trail next." She said, swinging her knife with another grunt. "Or just climb trees."

"Agreed." Max nodded as he swung his knife, cutting through the last bush before he arrived at a large clearing.

Looking at the clearing, he sheathed his knife.

"It seems we've arrived." He said, looking around as Lily followed right behind him. "But, why is there nothing here?"

The clearing had nothing. No mark, no box, nothing that indicated this place was indeed the location within the GPS.

But…

"Breeze, look up."

Lily pointed at the sky. Max followed her finger and saw something—a golden lightning mark along with a brewing dark cloud that circled above the clearing, crackling ominously with blue lightning.

As if the lightning was waiting for both of them to look up, it struck the ground at the perfect time.

[Trial Commence!]

Boom!

The grass in the middle of the clearing turned black, and a pedestal appeared, with a slate hovering up and down slowly.

Focusing on the slate, Max noticed an elephant head drawn on it. There was no doubt. It was the first slate they needed to move to the next map. He stepped forward toward it, his feet touched the shade created by the dark cloud.

Just as he did that, lightning began to strike furiously. He immediately jumped backward and landed a bit away from the shade.

Ding!

[Thunder God is furious at the thief's attempt to steal his Elephant Plate.]

[No one shall pass!]

"I see, so that's how the system told us. How convenient." Max threw a sarcasm as he wiped the dust off his body.

— He said it was convenient, but his veins twitched on his temple

— Lolol, he got pissed off because the warning came after the attack

— How convenient, indeed. The system is so cruel

— So cruelly convenient.

— Indeed, so convenient.

[ConvenientGuy has donated 1,000 diamonds!]

[So convenient.]

"Stop it, guys. That's not funny. And thanks for the donation, ConvenientGuy."

Max tried to stop them from repeating his words, but that was useless. They even repeated his last warning and used it to have fun.

He could only sigh and approach Lily.

"What do you think?" He asked her opinion.

"The lightning strikes strangely." She said, narrowing her eyes. "It strikes more frequently the closer its distance to the slate. Also…"

Bending down, she picked up a small rock and threw it to the center of the shade. Just as it entered, a small electric current was created to the area where it entered and a lightning stroke that said area a second later.

"As you can see. The lightning will strike whatever enters the area."

"Oh? That saves us trouble." Max looked at her with a respectful gaze. But then, he grew curious. "How did you know about this? Did you watch a walkthrough before we play?"

Lily looked back at him with a strange gaze, as if she had expected him to know where she had gotten the information. But sensing he was serious, she answered him.

"My chat told me. Did your chat not inform you about something like this?"

At her answer, Max could only shrug his shoulders in defeat. What could he say? He didn't even want to look at his chat at this moment. He could imagine they blamed him for stopping them from giving spoilers of games he played.

"My chat is a bit… special. But let's forget about them. Do you know how to deal with this?"

"Yes, it seems that we just need to move from two different sides and approach the slate. The lightning will stop once we get it off the pedestal."

"…"

Hearing that, Max couldn't help but look at his chat.

— What?

— He's stopping, he must be looking at the chat

— HAH! We won't give spoilers! We're good chat

— Tell LilyPixel's chat to stop giving spoilers. It ruins the fun!

— Yeah, poor streamers. They can't even enjoy the game and experience the thrill of finding out the new obstacles.

— Tsk tsk tsk, they need to learn from us

— I am going to that side for now! Wish me luck guys o7

— o7 good luck soldier

— o7 stop them by any means.

— Wish you luck o7

"Oh?" Lily raised her voice as she blinked a few times. "Umm, thank you for the 10K diamonds. Please don't give a spoiler because Breeze hates it. What does that mean? I mean… I don't mind. But if Breeze hates it, it's better to stop."

Confirmed.

'My chat donates 10K to my girlfriend just to warn them not to help us… What a fucking good person.' He thought, emphasizing the fucking instead of the good person. 'Whatever. They can do as they please.'

"Let's try the strategy your chat tells you. I will go to the other side. When I am ready, I will swing my arm down. We will run toward the slate at the same time."

"Un. I will be waiting here."

Max circled around the shade, trying not to touch it and got to the other side. He stretched his arms and legs first, and Lily imitated him. They had been doing it together since they exercised together. Discover exclusive tales on m,v l'e-novelbuddy.net

After a while, he stood up straight and raised his arm. Lily was ready to run and give a nod.

Max grinned. He really could count on her.

'I am so blessed.'

Then, without hesitation, he swung his arm and ran toward the slate. His first step generated an electric current. He looked at it and immediately leaped forward.

A second later, lightning struck where the electric current he created earlier. Thunderous sound echoed in the surrounding, but his smile didn't falter.
