Anyone who wants to use electricity will have to decide between rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.

While rechargeable batteries have a lot of advantages over their counterparts, the fact that they have to rely on energy water makes them somewhat of a traitor to the cause.

Electricity was invented and fostered as an attempt to replace the need for energy water. But rechargeable batteries still rely on it.

Both of them have their advantages and disadvantages, which puts them at a draw. But the one thing that they are both bad at is that they are expensive to make or use.

Rechargeable batteries are cheaper to make and smaller in size. So they are more portable and cheaper to buy.

They are even better since one rechargeable battery can last up to a year of usage. But rechargeable batteries cost a lot to use because energy water is expensive.

Non-rechargeable batteries are bigger because they need more materials in order to produce as much power as their rechargeable counterparts. They also have to be replaced after each use. Their only advantage is that they don't need energy water.

So it was very impactful when a technology that claims to be able to produce electricity using a steam engine appeared. This technology also boasted of being capable of producing ten times more electricity than the best batteries, and all it will need is wood or charcoal for steam.

Steam engines have been around for a long time. Steam engines are so powerful that they can drive large trains across vast distances quickly. But no one thought they could be used to produce electricity.

This technology made that claim and claims to be able to produce more electricity for cheaper too. So it was better both in terms of quality and quantity.

But thay was just a part of what was advertised. There were also outlandish claims of electricity being transmitted over large distances with energy loss of less than 5%.

The claims made by this technology were preposterous and unreasonable. They would have been unbelievable and disregarded if the technology hadn't been endorsed by the god of steam.

Despite how wild the claims were, no one doubted it. Not one person doubted the integrity of the god of steam because he had to have tested it before he approved of it and even advertised it.

That meant that the claims were true beyond reasonable doubt. Any doubt had to be unreasonable because of the stellar reputation of the god of steam.

So while people were shocked, stunned, and surprised by the claims, they believed them and quickly became excited for the prospect of what could be achieved with the technology.

Many people, who were machinists, inventors, and scientists themselves, reached out through the god of steam to inventor Levi for partnership. Letters began arriving for Legion in less than one hour after his technology was advertised in the weekly newspaper.

These people used whatever means necessary to send their letters. They either used the altar of the god of steam, which was the more expensive but instantaneous option, or they used the telegraph, which was slow, cumbersome, and had limited word capacity.

Whichever means was available, they used it. Some even used both methods and sent two letters just for the assurance that their messages would reach him.

Many people also began searching for more information about inventor Levi. They wanted to know who he was so that they could meet him physically or simply satisfy their curiosity.

But there were many people who wanted to know his identity so that they could force him to work with them or kill him. Killing him is a drastic action that will surely anger the god of steam if inventor Levi is a machinist. But that didn't deter some people because they were very unhappy with Levi.

Of course, no matter how anybody searched, no one could get information about inventor Levi. It is because just as there were people that wanted to kill him, there were others who wanted to protect him.

In fact, those who wanted to protect him were more than those who wanted to kill him, and they were more powerful than those who wanted to kill him. It is because these people had a lot to gain from his technology.

On one side were the devoted believers and priests of the god of craft. They should be happy that someone had created something that would improve the power of machinists, but they didn't like that technology was for electricity and steam.

These were the same people who were against the god of steam when he wasn't a god yet. Those people hated steam engines and tried to stop their adoption. They failed then to stop the god of steam from ascending, so they are determined not to fail this time around.

On the other side is the god of steam. He had a lot to gain from this technology, so he would protect Levi.

Only the priests of the Church of Steam who were there that morning twilight when he made the patent knew his identity. These people are all under the scrutiny of the god of steam, so they can't expose his identity without angering the god of steam.

The funny thing is that the god of craft didn't make his thoughts known on the matter. This god didn't take any action against the god of steam before he ascended. It was one of the reasons why the god of steam succeeded.

The god of craft is not taking a stance against this technology again. This stance means the worst thing that can happen for the zealots of the god of craft can happen again.

Legion wasn't told all of these things, but he could imagine the kind of impact his technology would have because he has seen it happen to someone else in the future.

He knew that his situation was precarious, but he wasn't overly concerned yet. This was just the beginning of the war that his technology will start, so there was no use being worried yet.
