Tesla introduced the three-phase system of electricity distribution, developed the transformers used for efficient electricity transmission, and even began work on radio technology by inventing the induction coil.

He did all of these and finally defeated direct current by making alternating current the mainstream means of electricity generation and distribution throughout the world.

This battle will occur in the future in about 50 years according to the normal timeline. After Tesla won that struggle for the dominance of alternating current, he ascended and became the god of electricity in the machinist pathway.

So if there is one person that Legion can be sure will truly support the spreading and adoption of alternating current technology throughout the world wholeheartedly, it is Tesla. And if there is someone who has the intelligence to truly develop the technology and make it better, it is Tesla.

He chuckled again and said, "After all, I stole some of my patent from him. This was his original mission. It is just right that I give it back to him."

He was in so much of a good mood that he began to laugh.

What put him in a good mood was that he was beginning to understand why limitless and Absolute existence was far beyond other beings and why it was nearly impossible for lower-level life forms to defeat them.

This case especially puts things into perspective. He is not a savant like Tesla. He doesn't have the knack for invention like Tesla, yet Tesla will be the one working for him.

To Tesla, it will all seem natural and simple. It would just seem that he encountered a genius innovator who is willing to work with him. It is just right that he appreciates Legion and works wholeheartedly for him. But to Legion, things are more complicated than that.

To him, Tesla is the genius. Tesla is the one who originally created the inventions. He stole Tesla's work in the future and used it to defeat Tesla in the past. Yet, Tesla will be grateful to him.

Even though Tesla is the genius and he is also much stronger than the current Legion, he just can't match Legion in knowledge and wisdom, so he will be played by Legion.

So despite all of his intelligence, he has no choice but to be a pawn for Legion and be happy to be that pawn.

Legion sighed and said, "It is his luck that I want to use him. If I didn't have a use for him, his life would turn out to be useless."

Tesla is intelligent for sure, but that doesn't mean he is actually more intelligent than Legion. If Legion puts in effort, he is sure that he can create better things than Tesla.

Legion also won't be limited to the field of electricity. His knowledge, wisdom, and intelligence are broader than the field of electricity, so he has the potential to be an era-defining genius.

But Legion doesn't plan to do that because he has better things to do. He has greater goals, which is why Tesla can have the chance to be used by him.

If Legion was willing, he is capable of obscuring many geniuses like Tesla in various fields. Those geniuses will amount to nothing because of his existence.

Tesla is a good example of that. With Legion here, there is very little chance that he can shine and become a god in the future. So this chance to be a pawn is a good thing for Tesla. At least, with it, he still has the chance to become the god of electricity in the future.

Legion is proud of himself for what he is capable of. He can make fun of Tesla and every mortal and feel superior to them. But he is also not ignorant of his situation.

He can't guess the mind of an Absolute, so he can't explain why the Absolute who killed the Lord of Madness didn't destroy the things the Lord of Madness had done and kill Legion when he came from the future to this world. He can't guess, but he doubts it is going to be favorable to him.

Without much intelligence, he can make the deduction that the Absolute's motives are selfish and linked to certain benefits. That's just common sense.

But how those benefits are related to him is much more difficult to guess.

It is difficult to guess how he is related to the Absolute's plans, but he can still try. His best guess is that this Absolute will gain something if he becomes an Absolute.

He made that guess based on the fact that this world that the Lord of Madness created and the Void Universe of the future were created with the aim to create an Absolute. The Lord of Madness failed, but that is not so certain anymore.

This world and the void universe failed to create Absolutes. Even the Lord of Madness died. But if he becomes an Absolute, then it would be like the Lord of Madness succeeded.

And since the Lord of Madness is no more, if there is a benefit to be had, it can only be reaped by the Absolute maintaining the existence of this world and that of the void universe.

So he too is like Tesla. He too has someone above his head who has more knowledge and can see farther than him.

This person above his head also intends to use him as a pawn, and his only choice is to be that pawn and be happy about it. After all, this opportunity to be a pawn is the only chance he has of becoming an Absolute. It is just like how Tesla's opportunity to be a pawn is his chance to become a god.

He shook his head and said, "I am not resigned to my fate. Nothing is certain, not even death. Anything is possible, so it is not certain who will become the pawn in the future."
