YES, Moon Noa was pissed that Bambi admitted to never loving Ryu Sungbin.

After all...

"Ryu Sungbin loves you," Moon Noa said, feeling a pang in his heart after admitting the thing that he refused to acknowledge before. "He started serving you in order to protect me. But, along the way, I can tell that he fell in love with you for real."

That was the most painful thing Moon Noa had to go through for the past few years: watching Ryu Sungbin fall for Bambi.

Yes, I know that Ryu Sungbin is mentally unstable, but he really loves this bastard.

Moon Noa could tell because he saw how Ryu Sungbin looked at Bambi the way he did when they were still together.

What Ryu Sungbin feels for me right now is probably just responsibility.

He decided to make a deal with the strange monster.

Hence, the Top 4 Espers surrounded the water tank where the pink blob was contained.

The non-combatant awakened people were at the back.

Moon Noa, Kim Munhee, and Kwak Hakja were standing next to the exit, so that they could easily run if something bad happened.

I really have a bad feeling about this.

"Noa Hyung, we’re going to break the water tank now," Ryu Sungbin warned them. "Please make sure you have a barrier around you."

"Yes, we’ve already made a barrier to protect us," Moon Noa said. "Go ahead and start."

"Yes, Hyung."

The Top 4 Espers all raised their hands at the same time, with their palms pointing at the giant water tank.

Then... BOOM!

Colorful Mana hit the water tank at the same time, causing long cracks all over it easily.

It didn’t take long before the water tank completely broke.

The water would have easily flooded the entire basement, but that didn’t happen because Lee Sarang— aka the Ice Queen— froze the water before it drowned them all.

And, finally...

"I got the thing, Hyung," Matthew announced, using his ability to control wind and keep the pink blob suspended in the air. "Thank goodness the gross thing isn’t fighting back. It looks like it has no intention to escape."

"No, wait— it’s not that it’s not fighting back," Jin Sooin, and then she jumped high until she landed on the pink blob’s ’head.’ She placed a hand on the gross thing before letting out a gasp. "This thing is already dead!"

An awkward silence ensued.

And that silence was broken when they heard the creaking sound of the heavy doors opening.

But no other people have access here...!

Moon Noa was just about to turn around, but he froze when he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

When he looked down, he was shocked to see a hand pierced through his torso.

Dammit...

"Noa Hyung!"

Moon Noa heard Ryu Sungbin yell his name, but everything around him disappeared soon as a weird barrier-like thing enveloped his space.

It was like he was thrown into a different dimension.

He found himself ’alone’ in a white room.

Of course, he couldn’t be totally alone when there was a hand that pierced through his chest. There has to be an owner of that hand, right?

"Thank you for granting my request, Moon Noa."

Yep, I really am not alone.

Moon Noa looked over his shoulder, and then he knitted his eyebrows when he recognized the man. "Ho Jungwon?"

But he should still be in a comatose state!

"Ah, is that this person’s name?" ’Ho Jungwon’ asked, and then he smiled at Moon Noa. "I go by ’Bambi,’ though."

Oh.

Bambi.

The pink blob.

Fucking hell.

Moon Noa felt like his world crumbled when the realization hit him.

Bambi has the ability to switch bodies!

He belatedly realized why the pink blob tricked them into setting it free— the monster was aiming to steal Ho Jungwon’s body.

I knew we shouldn’t have set this bastard free!

"Thank you for being gullible, Moon Noa," Bambi, now wearing Ho Jungwon’s literal naked body, said while smiling. "I can’t believe my charm worked."

Moon Noa clenched his hands tight.

The pink blob was correct— he had been too gullible.

However, he refused to admit that.

"It wasn’t thanks to your charm," Moon Noa said, scoffing. "I decided to go along with your plan because we needed answers to our questions. But just because you’re free now—"

"I wasn’t talking about you— I was talking about Ryu Sungbin," the pink blob said, cutting Moon Noa off. "Although I was reduced to being a useless pink slime, I retained my original ability— and that is to seduce Espers with just my voice. You didn’t notice it because you’re an Esper. But my voice actually carries Mana that’s attractive to Espers."

Excuse me?

Moon Noa was too stunned to react.

"Monsters like me don’t have physical bodies that we could use to attract Espers that enter dungeons, so we adapt and use our voice to mimic the Mana of Guides that Espers can’t resist," Bambi explained, smiling while shaking his head. "Unfortunately, my voice isn’t strong enough to convince Ryu Sungbin to free me. But, at least, he managed to convince you to set me free,"

"Ryu Sungbin made that choice because he believed it was for the best."

"Whatever makes you sleep at night, Moon Noa."

This pink blob really knew how to piss him off, huh?

But Moon Noa refused to cave.

There’s no way Ryu Sungbin was seduced by this bastard’s voice!

"I already told you to shut your mouth—"

Moon Noa stopped talking abruptly when Bambi, still using Ho Jungwon’s body, suddenly fell to the floor— unmoving.

Now what?

RYU SUNGBIN wanted to run to Moon Noa, who was inside a strange opaque barrier, but he couldn’t move his body when a strange silhouette emerged from the ground— blocking his way.

The figure was oozing a terrifying aura that was making him tremble.

This feeling is familiar...

It was the same helpless feeling that he had when he met beings that claimed to be gods before.

"Do you wish to save Moon Noa, Ryu Sungbin?"

Ryu Sungbin raised his head and met a pair of red eyes looking down at him.
