Guide to raise my cutie husbands-Chapter 1758: Divorced
Chapter 1758: Divorced
Lin Cui was surprised when he saw Kong Pili waiting for him. However, he only glanced at Kong Pili before lowering his head and walking inside the house while carrying the small basket and hoe that he had taken with him to the farm earlier.
Yu Jiao Yu also glanced at the Kong family before nodding at them coolly. He was neither cold nor warm towards Madam Kong and her daughters. While he did find the two girls a bit pitiful, he could never forgive their daddy who called his son a 'fox' even though he was so young.
Madam Kong however was extremely polite with Yu Jiao Yu, she had no other choice. Who asked her daughter to be smitten with Lin Cui? These past few days, Kong Pili had talked so much about Lin Cui that Madam Kong could feel her ears bleed.
Yu Jiao Yu was slightly surprised when he saw that Madam Kong was being so respectful towards him. However, he thought that maybe it was due to her being partners with Yu Dong. If he had known the real truth, he would have chased this woman out of the house with a broom!
Kong Pili jumped off the couch and then went looking for Lin Cui who was washing his hands in the vat behind the house. She tucked the locks of her hair behind her ear before walking over to Lin Cui.
She said to him in a soft voice, "Cui Cui, I am here to play with you."
Lin Cui raised his head and looked at Kong Pili with a cold face, "Is your daddy okay with it? I don't think he would be happy to see you play with a mer like him."
He wasn't a young mer, he was at the age where his mother had already started to look for a match for him. So of course he understood the words of Daddy Xiao.
"My daddy… he – he was divorced by my mother," Kong Pili told Lin Cui who raised his brows slightly.
"Divorced?" Chen Mi also echoed when he heard Guo Zian say that Madam Kong had divorced Master Xiao.
Guo Zian smiled with an awkward expression, "That's right…I won't hide from you. My wife divorced him once everything was over. She didn't even listen to anyone."
Even though he said that Guo Zian was inwardly relieved that Xiao Xiao was divorced by his wife.
Chen Mi and the rest had long guessed that such a thing would happen sooner or later. Inwardly, they all thought that it was a good thing that Master Xiao was divorced and sent away. However, Shen Li still pretended to be concerned as he asked, "Why…why did it come to this? Couldn't something be done about it?"
Yu Dong who could hear everything that was going on in the kitchen: "..." who was the one cheering for their divorce?
Guo Zian smiled bitterly before shaking his head and saying to Shen Li and the rest, "There was no other way left in front of us. This was the only thing we could have done, that mer's sisters caused so much trouble and nearly caused Pili and Lili to die. And yet he never once admitted that they had done anything wrong and asked us to release them."
"Madam was tired of his constant trouble and divorced him, as the mer had learned nothing after causing so much trouble for your family as well as ours."
He sighed and added, "You wouldn't believe it, once he got out of the Yamen, he came looking for Madam at her parents house and demanded that she pulled the complaint back such that his sisters would be able to get out of the prison."
"He screamed and yelled and made such a fuss that the entire street was watching the show. When Madam refused he started yelling at my father in law begging him to take his nieces out but when my father in law refused, he called him heartless and whatnot. It embarrassed and troubled my father-in-law to the point that he fell sick."
"My wife got so furious that she fought with Master Xiao then and there."
Guo Zian had never expected that Master Xiao was such a troublesome mer. He thought that the mer was pitiful and treated him well, and it turned out that he was like a snake. No matter how well he treated Master Xiao, the mer would only come back to bite them in the back.
And that was not even the worst possible thing that mer did.
After he was beaten up by Madam Kong, he actually went ahead and drank poison in front of their house, saying that if Madam Kong didn't save his sisters, he would rather die in front of her house.
Madam Kong thought that he was lying to threaten her, but who would have thought that the mer would actually drink poison all for the sake of getting his sisters out.
It was then that Madam Kong realised that Xiao Xiao was not only crazy, he was simply out of his mind!
He didn't even care for his own life. Would he care for her or anyone else's life?
Who knows? Today he was trying to kill himself, the next day he would kill someone else for his sisters.
After Madam Kong sent Xiao Xiao to the medicinal hall, she divorced him. Of course, the Xiao family was unwilling but Madam Xiao simply told them that if they refused to let her divorce Xiao Xiao, she would file another report for the money that Master Xiao had stolen from her family.
In the end their family had no choice but to agree!
Of course, these things were too scandalous and Master Guo could not relay this matter to Shen Li and the rest.
He and his wife had already lost all face to see Yu Dong and her husbands already, he didn't need to make their situation even more embarrassing.
Guo Zian then said to Shen Li, "Brother Shen, there is something that I wanted to ask you if you do not mind."
