"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Xiao Jiao looked at the woman who was climbing up the tree and pursed her lips in worry. She knew that Mo Qiang was a bit vengeful, but she never knew that she was this petty. Even after being locked up in prison, she was actually willing to steal the fruit that they came here for?

"I am sure," Mo Qiang stated with a cold voice as she snatched the light, blushing fruit from the tree and took a bite from it. "I am not going to get locked up in the cell for nothing, alright?"

After she finished speaking, she jumped down from the tree and finished the fruit that she had taken. However, Mo Qiang was rather honest and only took down a single fruit from the tree. After all, she was locked up only for a few hours a day, so a fruit for a day seemed perfect as compensation.

The little girl was also amused by her actions. She stared at Mo Qiang, who was licking her fingers, and said, "It seems like you are really angry with the God of War?"

"Hm? I am not," Mo Qiang shook her head as she said, "If I were, then I wouldn’t have stolen just one single fruit."

In response, the little girl only smiled.

"Let us go," seeing that Mo Qiang was done eating the fruit, Xiao Jiao urged her to leave. Her eyes flickered uneasily in the garden of the God of War, and she said to her, "We need to leave before the minions of the god come looking for us—"

"Minions, are you talking about us?"

Just as Xiao Jiao finished talking, a little fairy popped up from the corner of the garden. His blonde hair was standing upright as if styled that way, his tanned skin was bursting with electricity, and he was holding a hammer which had a curved end blade on the other side.

He looked at Xiao Jiao and said to her, "It seems like your host is as foolish as you, Xiao Jiao. She actually stole the fruit from the garden of God of War! I believe master will rip her into five pieces for doing such a thing. Just you wait."

"Don’t call her foolish!" Xiao Jiao didn’t care about the rest of the nonsense, but she couldn’t withstand anyone insulting Mo Qiang. Her eyes turned red in anger, and she pointed her finger at the other fairy and said, "Jiao Bao, you better not insult my host. She is a thousand times better than yours; at least she has the compassion to care for the Goddess of nature, unlike yours. He received so many gifts from my goddess, but now that he has to repay the favour, he acts aloof and stingy."

"Hah!" Jiao Bao snorted; he raised a brow and said to Jiao Xiao, "My master would have repaid the debt; he is not stingy, but he only returns the favour to those who are –alive… ahahahaha–ack!" fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Jiao Bao was shrilly laughing when something got stuck in his throat. He clutched his hands around his neck and started coughing before he finally spat out a large seed that was lodged inside his mouth.

He looked at the brown seed and then raised his head to look at Mo Qiang, who was standing in front of him with a charming smile on her lips.

"You—have you gone crazy! Do you even know who I am?" Jiao Bao had never received such an attitude before. He was well respected due to his being the follower and the devotee of the God of War; this was the first time someone had shown him disrespect, and he didn’t like it.

Mo Qiang’s smile widened, and she simply shrugged her shoulders in response. "A really rude monkey?"

"M—Monkey?" Jiao Bao faintly repeated; for two seconds, he stayed quiet before he raised his hands and pointed at Mo Qiang. His eyes were filled with fire as he shouted, "You will pay for that disrespect. I will make sure that you will be torn into pieces!"

"Ah Qiang," Xiao Jiao was touched when she saw that Mo Qiang was standing up for her and the Goddess of Nature, but at the same time, she was worried that she was trying to bite more than she could chew. How was she supposed to fight a god?

Mo Qiang knew her worries, and in all honesty, she was worried as well, but when she saw Xiao Jiao on the verge of crying, she just couldn’t stop her mouth from running. She wanted this little fairy to stop when he still had the time; it was such a shame that the little one didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut.

"I will be fine," she patted Xiao Jiao on the head and said to her, "I am also a devotee of the Goddess of Nature; how can I stay quiet when someone disrespects her?"

Xiao Jiao’s eyes turned red. She wanted to say something, but her throat felt tight, and the alarm ringing in the background was way too loud for Mo Qiang to hear what she was saying.

Thus, Xiao Jiao stayed quiet and decided to praise Mo Qiang to her heart’s content once they were out of this dimension.

That was what she thought until she saw the young man dressed in blood red robes descending from the sky. Strength oozed from every fibre of his being and the sword that he held in his hands was bigger than Mo Qiang’s entire existence.

"I told you to stay nice, didn’t I, Xiao Jiao?" The young man remarked as he looked at the little spirit with condemnation in his eyes.

Xiao Jiao shivered under the aura that the man released in front of her. And all the fur on her body started rising slowly in the air. Seeing this Mo Qiang stepped in front of her and stared up at the god of war with a look of contempt that matched his.
