Half-Hearted: Mr. Sinclair, Stop the Act!-Chapter 201: The One Closest Gets the First Chance
The feeling of a hangover is naturally unpleasant.
Sienna Monroe didn’t sleep well that night, and when she got up the next day, she was still in a daze and hadn’t fully recovered.
Fortunately, the closing ceremony was over now, so she lay at home for a day, feeling slightly better by the afternoon.
She glanced at the azaleas on the low platform; apart from the four pots that had already bloomed, the buds of the two sent earlier were growing larger.
Seeing that they’ll bloom in a few days.
She walked over, picked up the watering can, and watered the six pots of azaleas one by one.
Beep!
The phone on the coffee table suddenly emitted a WeChat notification sound.
She paused, putting down the watering can, and picked up the phone to check.
The message was from Sebastian Prescott.
[The case of unjust enrichment with Vivian Nash, the court has just issued a notice, the mediation hearing is set for the morning of the 9th at ten o’clock.]
The morning of the 9th?
Sienna Monroe breathed a sigh of relief.
The moment for Vivian Nash to hit rock bottom.
Has finally arrived.
She raised a light smile and replied to his message: [Okay, I got it.]
Sebastian Prescott: [I’ll call you before we leave the day after tomorrow.]
It meant they were going to the court together.
Which made sense.
After all, he was her attorney.
She didn’t hesitate and agreed.
She thought for a moment and typed again: [Are you free tonight? Let me treat you to dinner.]
Sebastian Prescott: [Okay. I’ll probably be done around seven, just send me the location once you decide the place.]
After exiting WeChat, she searched for nearby restaurants and settled on a copper hot pot place.
She called to make a reservation.
It’s about a ten-minute walk from The Left Bank Courtyard, quite convenient.
Going there would be like a stroll, coming back would be for digestion.
A little past 6:41 in the evening, Sienna Monroe dressed in casual clothes, didn’t put on makeup, loosely tied her hair, and wearing sneakers headed out.
She leisurely walked to the copper hot pot restaurant, completely unaware of the shadow trailing behind.
After she went in, Caleb Sinclair didn’t leave either.
All the way, he felt a bit puzzled, wondering who she was going to meet.
Only, in less than twenty minutes, a tall and slender figure cleared his doubts.
It was Sebastian Prescott.
Seeing him, Caleb Sinclair’s face turned cold.
His heart was instantly filled with mixed emotions.
Jealousy, resentment, unwillingness.
For a moment, he really wanted to rush in, take Sienna Monroe’s hand, and warn Sebastian Prescott to stay away from her.
But he had no right to do so now.
He took a deep breath, paused downstairs for about five to six minutes, eased his mood, and then reluctantly walked towards The Left Bank Courtyard Community.
His car was still parked over there.
As he passed the entrance of The Left Bank Courtyard Community, he unexpectedly saw a graceful figure in a pink and white cheongsam coming out.
He paused, stopping in his tracks.
The woman naturally saw him too, her expression slightly stunned, then she politely nodded towards him.
Caleb Sinclair had previously felt this woman looked familiar, as if he’d seen her somewhere before.
Yet, every time he tried to recall, the chaotic thoughts would drift away with the wind.
He frowned, not liking this feeling.
But as the woman was about to leave, he voiced a question, "Miss Ivy, are you here to see Sienna?"
Claire Grant heard this, was slightly taken aback, stopped and turned to look at him.
After about ten seconds, she gently shook her head and countered, "Are you here to see Director Monroe, Mr. Sinclair?"
"Mm."
Caleb Sinclair didn’t deny it but instead asked, "Do you live here too?"
Claire Grant smiled slowly, seemingly reaching her eyes, "We’ve only met once, Mr. Sinclair, what are you investigating me for?"
"I’m sorry, it’s just out of curiosity."
Seeing this, Caleb Sinclair immediately apologized politely and then directly asked, "May I ask your name?"
Claire Grant looked at his gentle profile and replied softly, "Claire Grant."
