Half-Hearted: Mr. Sinclair, Stop the Act!-Chapter 227: Rumors
Sienna Monroe frowned and clicked in. The post, once again, was from a marketing account, and the text was short.
It mentioned that, according to insiders, the marriage between Caleb Sinclair and Sienna Monroe had long been rotten.
Their image as a loving model couple was all an act; Caleb Sinclair had cheated, but Sienna Monroe had already had affairs as well.
The real state of their marriage was actually precarious, and it was only maintained for the sake of their families’ interests.
However, once things escalated, the two had already negotiated a divorce at the court before the end of last year.
And Sienna Monroe had turned Caleb Sinclair’s life into a mess, ruining his reputation, while she herself reaped fame and love.
Between the lines, the post insinuated her hypocrisy, deep scheming, and guile.
She had clearly cheated as well, yet she accepted the sympathy and support of many netizens as a victim.
How thick-skinned could one be?
Below were nine attached photos.
In them were the outfits she and Sebastian Prescott wore yesterday.
The photos seemed to be zoomed in, taken from a relatively close distance, so they were quite clear, just that the surrounding buildings were a little blurry.
But it wasn’t hard to identify four of them as being taken outside Delmore University Hospital, and the other five outside a supermarket.
The angles of the shots were quite tricky.
No matter which photo you opened, the two appeared very close and intimate.
Especially one photo as they were coming out of the supermarket, Sebastian Prescott carrying two shopping bags, walking side by side with Sienna Monroe, captured perfectly.
If not for the bombshell report of Sienna Monroe’s affair, one might suspect the photos were staged.
After viewing, Sienna Monroe couldn’t help but let out a cold snort.
There was no need to guess anymore; this report must have come from Vivian Nash.
How could she clarify things to minimize the damage?
She pressed her lips together, pondering, mentally going over the evidence she held.
The most direct way to debunk this rumor would be to release the video she orchestrated of that "miscarriage," coaxing Vivian Nash to personally admit to Caleb Sinclair’s infidelity.
Doing so would invalidate the report of her and Caleb Sinclair’s marriage as a publicity stunt and reveal the real reason for their divorce, proving she was not at fault during the marriage.
That would resolve everything smoothly.
But there were downsides.
Since it was secretly filmed, and she didn’t appear in it, only the sound and Vivian Nash’s image, releasing it could make it obvious that it was all her plan.
Doing that would be somewhat counterproductive.
And it would also place her under public scrutiny.
It was unnecessary.
Should she maybe just extract the audio and remove the video part?
She was assessing the feasibility of this and the pros and cons when her phone rang again.
It was Sebastian Prescott calling.
Upon answering, his slightly deep voice came through, "Did you see the trending report?"
"Just saw it, are you done with court?"
"Yeah, just finished, Hannah Nash called to inform me.
Don’t worry, on this matter, I’ll respond and clarify in the capacity of your representing lawyer, and on behalf of Aethel Law Firm.
I’ll also release the video of Vivian Nash trailing you from last night."
Sebastian Prescott’s tone was very calm, without a trace of urgency.
To him, this was no big deal.
As soon as he saw this report, he immediately thought of Vivian Nash trailing Sienna Monroe yesterday.
With the supermarket surveillance footage, it wouldn’t be difficult to resolve.
His primary concern was not affecting Sienna Monroe and worrying she might get anxious seeing it.
Hearing his words, Sienna Monroe’s previously swirling thoughts suddenly crystallized.
Compared to acting under their personal names, a lawyer firm’s name had more credibility.
Besides, Sebastian Prescott was one of the parties involved in this slander and defamation case.
She realized that releasing the audio and other evidence at this time might appear too deliberate.
It would also make her seem panicked and lacking confidence.
Causing unnecessary speculation.
Now, a silent approach rather than grand gestures was advisable.
Following proper procedures would be best.
The heavy cloud weighing down her heart suddenly lightened because of Sebastian Prescott’s concise and clear words.
Her eyes couldn’t help but soften as she gently replied, "Alright, thank you for your trouble."
After a brief silence on the phone, Sebastian Prescott’s voice came again.
"I just inquired, the judgment documents for your unjust enrichment case with Vivian Nash will be sent to you both in the afternoon, requiring your personal receipt and signature for them to take effect."
Sienna Monroe was slightly taken aback upon hearing this.
Her mind made a quick calculation, "Okay, I’ll head back this afternoon."
Sebastian Prescott asked again, "How’s your father doing?"
"He was moved to a regular ward this morning, he seems stable for now."
"That’s good. If it’s inconvenient for you, I can sign the judgment document on your behalf as your attorney."
Sienna Monroe softly replied, "No worries, I’ll head back myself."
Since the judgment was out and Vivian Nash had sent such a big gift her way, she should visit and extend her regards to her.
Once Sebastian Prescott clarified matters, her stance would also be clear.
Sebastian Prescott didn’t say much more, ending the call, quickly returning to the law firm to arrange for the clarification.
Meanwhile, Sienna Monroe returned to the ward and quietly told Audrey about her plan to return in the afternoon.
When Audrey asked what had happened, she didn’t hide it, explaining everything truthfully.
Audrey checked Weibo herself and was so angry that she wanted to grab something and give that vile Vivian Nash a beating.
Sienna Monroe quickly stopped her.
She’d be absent in the afternoon, so she needed Audrey to help watch over things at the hospital, and she couldn’t let Leo Monroe know about it either, to prevent him from worrying.
Audrey could only suppress her urging to act.
The two of them had lunch with Leo Monroe, and then Sebastian Prescott and Aethel Law Firm’s statement was already released, including several surveillance videos.
Within half an hour, the clarification report was trending.
Sienna Monroe didn’t delay and, after saying a brief goodbye to Leo Monroe, drove back to The Left Bank Courtyard.
The timing was perfect; she’d been home for less than ten minutes when the court documents arrived.
After signing for them, she went straight to Rippling Crest Estates.
