C41 No Blind Spot Camera

In the auditorium of Sigu No. 1 Middle School, what was once an empty space was now teeming with people. The majority were underclassmen, students from the first and second years. Only a handful of seniors were present, among whom was Pang Yuejuan.

The stage was set with a table, a common sight, but this time it was surrounded by poles supporting cameras aimed from various angles. The footage from these cameras was displayed on the large screen at the back of the stage, each feed crystal clear. Zhao Hao had previously tested the setup; any subtle movement made at that table would be seen by all.

"Please," Zhao Hao said to Qi Ning, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Qi Ning nodded and approached the table. Seated, he noticed the array of exam papers covering a wide range of subjects, even including those from the sciences.

"Isn't this unfair?" protested a senior from the audience. "If I'm not mistaken, Qi Ning is a humanities student. Yet, these papers include science subjects. That seems rather unfair to him!"

Zhao Hao glanced at the protesting student with disdain, silencing him immediately.

Qi Ning's lips twisted into an enigmatic smile.

"You have ten papers and three hours of break time. If you can complete them within that time and score as you did previously, I will publicly acknowledge that you did not cheat," Zhao Hao declared, smugness evident in his voice.

Qi Ning was repulsed by Zhao Hao's triumphant demeanor but simply responded, "Alright."

Zhao Hao was taken aback by Qi Ning's lack of protest but didn't comment further. It was clear to all that he was intentionally trying to trip up Qi Ning.

As Qi Ning surveyed the papers before him, he inwardly remarked on Zhao Hao's audacity. The test was filled with some of the most challenging questions from the college entrance exams, designed to mislead. With just a few tweaks, their deceptive nature could be amplified.

Qi Ning picked up his pen, poised to write, but after a brief pause, he set it back down.

"Heh!" Zhao Hao let out a cold laugh. "What's the matter? Ready to throw in the towel? If you bow and apologize to me right now, I'm willing to forgive and forget."

"But your previous exam results will be nullified."

Pang Yuejuan watched Qi Ning with a growing sense of urgency.

Several cameras among the many present were focused on the test papers.

She had glanced over them briefly before and realized that these papers were far from as straightforward as she had thought.

"Give up?" Qi Ning said, shaking his head with a smile. "What if my scores this time are similar to before, or even higher? What then?"

Zhao Hao seemed puzzled by Qi Ning's point.

"You haven't lost anything from start to finish. Doesn't that seem a bit unfair to me?" Qi Ning's statement sent a ripple of commotion through the auditorium.

"Exactly! Doesn't this seem unfair to Qi Ning?"

"How is it unfair? The teacher suspected him of cheating, and he's proving his innocence. That seems fair to me!"

"How about we settle this with a live stream? Let the viewers decide!"
