Harem Ascension: My Gifted Domination System-Chapter 63 - 62: Haruno’s Counterattack!
Chapter 63: Chapter 62: Haruno’s Counterattack!
Yukio wandered around outside, trying to shake off her daughter before entering the pharmacy.
But after careful consideration, she realized she couldn’t be sure if she’d actually lost Haruno trailing behind her. If she went inside and Haruno was still following, it would be an irreversible disaster.
In the end, Yukio devised several plans, but none seemed feasible in front of her daughter. Reluctantly, she abandoned the idea of buying the medicine and decided to go home.
After all, as she really think about it, the safety period and the drug’s protective effect were roughly equivalent, both offering over 90% effectiveness.
Of course, if she could avoid even that 10% risk, Yukio would have preferred it.
But what choice did she have?
She couldn’t possibly reveal to her daughter what they had done last night just to eliminate that 10% chance.
Why do you think she was so worried about getting pregnant?
Was it because she didn’t want to have a child with Roland?
Of course not. She was terrified that her growing belly would expose their affair to her daughter.
If she had the courage to confess to Yukino and Haruno directly about her immoral affair, there would be no need for the medicine in the first place.
So Yukio ultimately decided against confronting her daughter. After all, there was still a 90% chance of safety, right?
The odds were still quite high that nothing would happen. Even if the worst came to pass and she found herself pregnant, she could always confront her daughter later.
Having made her decision, Yukio sighed softly and pretended to have finished her stroll before hurrying home.
Of course, Haruno had already returned home ahead of her mother to avoid being discovered.
By then, Roland had finished preparing lunch, and Yuki had come out of her room. They were both waiting for the mother and daughter to return and eat.
"Roland~!" Haruno immediately sat beside her husband, wrapped her arm around his neck, and pulled him into her embrace.
"My dear wife, have mercy~," Roland said, this time remembering to call Haruno his wife.
"Mercy? Do you know you’ve done something wrong?" Haruno tightened her grip and, mimicking what her mother had done earlier, forcefully pressed Roland’s face against her chest.
Fortunately, she had perfectly inherited the Yukino Family’s genes, making it easy for her to replicate her mother’s actions.
If Yuki had tried....squish!
After not seeing her for a few days, her younger sister really hadn’t "grown" at all~.
"Heaven is my witness! If I’ve done anything wrong, let the heavens strike me down!" Roland declared, striking a pose as if swearing an oath to the sky. He seemed genuinely convinced he had done nothing to wrong Haruno.
But a closer analysis revealed Roland hadn’t actually claimed innocence. He merely dared the heavens to punish him—a clever linguistic trap for Haruno.
Such a simple deception might fool someone less astute than Haruno, but it certainly wouldn’t work on Yuki. After all, she knew he had been gaming all night for the past two nights.
"If you’ve done nothing wrong, then who was on the phone with mother just now?" Haruno demanded, her displeasure evident.
Earlier, while tailing her mother, Haruno had seen her mother about to enter a pharmacy. She had even suspected her mother might be buying emergency contraception. But then her mother answered a phone call, abruptly changed her demeanor, and continued walking as if she had never intended to visit the pharmacy at all.
This left Haruno with no evidence, forcing her to return home empty-handed and frustrated.
"Uh... I called her. What’s the problem?" Roland feigned confusion. Was he forbidden from calling Yukio now?
"Don’t you think it’s a bit too coincidental? You could have called anytime, but you chose that exact moment. Why?"
"No, no, no, it’s not coincidental at all! I just happened to finish lunch at that time, so I called Aunt Yukio to come home and eat. Is that so wrong?"
"That’s exactly the problem! If it was almost lunchtime, why did mother suddenly decide to go for a stroll?"
"You’ll have to ask Aunt Yukio about that. How am I supposed to know what she’s thinking?" Roland shrugged, feigning innocence. "I don’t have mind-reading powers, you know!"
If you want to know what Aunt Yukio is thinking, you should ask her yourself~.
"What’s everyone asking me about?" Yukio’s voice echoed from the entryway, arriving just a step behind Haruno.
For the first time, all three Yukino women—mother and daughters—were simultaneously within Roland’s sight.
He couldn’t deny a strange sense of vanity, as if he were the sole possessor of this trio. His heart swelled with satisfaction and pride.
At least the mother and elder sister were certainly his to monopolize. Only Yuki remained.
Maybe I should seize the opportunity to win over Yuki too, and complete my own KFC Family Bucket?
Ahem, well, that’s a nice thought, but it’ll have to remain just that. Right now, even sneaking in a little flirtation with Aunt Yukio requires utmost secrecy. I simply don’t have the energy to add more complications to my life.
"Mother, weren’t you out for a walk? Why are you back so early?" Haruno, unable to find concrete evidence of her mother’s infidelity, could only vent her frustration through sarcastic remarks.
"Little Roland called and asked me to come home for lunch. Is there a problem with that?" Yukio knew perfectly well that her daughter suspected her of violating the contract agreement they made. But since Haruno had no proof, what was there to fear?
"Hmph, it seems you’ve rehearsed your excuses thoroughly."
"Enough, as your mother, I know what you’re thinking. Rest assured, nothing you’re worried about has happened."
"Well, even if I were worried, it wouldn’t matter, would it? I have no evidence."
"Since you understand that, don’t waste your energy. Just focus on eating properly." Yukio grew tired of the charade. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel-com
After all, some things were already tacitly understood. She was indeed highly suspicious, but no matter how suspicious she seemed, it was all for naught as long as Haruno couldn’t produce any proof.
"Wait a minute!"
Haruno was furious at her mother’s brazen attitude. It was clear her mother had abandoned any pretense of propriety, adopting a stance that screamed, ’So what if I’m guilty? So what if I’ve crossed the line? Do you have proof? No proof? Then shut your mouth!’ This blatant defiance made Haruno sick to her stomach, she feels like she had countless worms squirming there trying to find a way out.
Yes, she was powerless against her mother’s shamelessness, but that didn’t mean she had to passively endure this humiliation!
I may not be able to defeat you, but I can certainly make you uncomfortable!
Without hesitation, Haruno grabbed Roland’s chin in front of her mother—and her younger sister—and commanded, "Kiss me."
"Huh? Why?" Roland, caught completely off guard by Haruno’s sudden bold move, was utterly bewildered.
"What ’huh’? It’s been days since you’ve seen your beloved wife. What’s wrong with giving your beloved wife a kiss?" Haruno snapped coldly.
"Uh... but Yuki is right here."
"Don’t worry, Yuki won’t mind. I said kiss me, so kiss me. Enough with the excuses! Keep stalling, and that dog collar I ordered will arrive sooner than you think."
"Alright, alright, I’ll kiss you, I’ll kiss you..."
The mention of the dog collar reminded Roland of Haruno’s earlier threat to leash him to prevent him from cheating.
He absolutely didn’t want to wear that thing. Just imagining Yuki seeing him in something like that—how embarrassing would that be?
Left with no choice under Haruno’s silver-tongued pressure, Roland reluctantly leaned in to kiss her lips in front of Yuki.
The moment their lips met, Haruno shot a defiant glance at her mother, as if to say, ’No matter what your relationship is, he’ll always be my man.’
To be honest, Yukio felt a twinge of discomfort seeing her precious "bad boy" kissed by another woman.
But when she remembered the deadly secret she carried in her womb, she immediately relaxed and settled down beside them.
How hilarious. You’re showing off with a man whose manhood is already in my hands and womb. Who are you trying to impress?
Yukio remained completely unfazed by the display. In contrast, Yuki watched her elder sister’s antics with Roland, her eyes betraying a clear sense of resentment.
Driven by some unknown impulse, she suddenly leaped to her feet, knocking over her chair in the process.
Bang! ...Thud
The commotion drew everyone’s curious gazes. Only then did Yuki realize the rashness of her actions, belatedly adding, "I’m going to the restroom..."
