Harem of the Demon: Gathering Beauties in a Magic World-Chapter 75. Hidden Figures
Chapter 75: 75. Hidden Figures
Present day...
Manager Kim placed his hands under his chin and exchanged gazes with Aaron, who was still seated in front of him.
"That was the last time I saw him, for the lack of a better word, sane. After that day, the next time we met, he was yapping nonsense about having received a divine message that only he must accomplish. He never told anyone what this message was and it drove him crazy. All I know was that even Alicia was so worried that she met with a few of us in secret to inquire if we could help your father but how could we? We didn’t even know what was wrong."
Mister Kim paused. "But then, I found out later on what that message was and after that day, it was the last time I spoke to or even saw Isaac."
"What was the message?"
"He said he had to kill his own son."
Aaron retracted and thought about it for a second.
"Hmm. So that was their plan. To have him get rid of this body before I could even inhabit it but then why this body? Did they know before then that it was best suited for me?"
He raised his gaze towards the ceiling. "I guess the game was already rigged against me before I even arrived. To have a father murder his son for your own son for your own selfish desires."
Aaron got up from his chair and extended his hand to Mister Kim, who also rose and shook him.
"Thank you for your time," Aaron said before walking out of the office, leaving Mister Kim gazing at the door until it shut.
That was when the manager realised himself. Confused, he looked around, wondering what had transpired in the past several minutes.
Meanwhile, Aaron stood outside the office and looked left and right before making his way towards the stairs that led him there.
"Oh, there you are!" a familiar voice exclaimed excitedly, almost bumping into Aaron as he made a quick turn to descend the stairs.
"Tai Tai has been searching for mister," the voice revealed.
It was the noisy girl with a strange speech pattern, Tai Tai.
"What are you doing here?" Aaron asked with raised eyebrows. "And why are you looking for me?"
Tai Tai shook her body from side to side, her face beaming with a sense of accomplishment and a smile of victory.
"Big sister Tai Yang gave Tai Tai mission to find mister. And Tai Tai has succeeded in finding mister," she remarked, taking hold of Aaron’s hand and trying to drag him downstairs along with her.
"Where are we going?" Aaron asked, refusing to be pulled forward.
"To see big sister Tai Yang!"
The young man scoffed and freed his hand from her tender grip. He moved forward and past Tai Tai, climbing down the stairs by himself.
"I’m not interested. I have other things to do."
Tai Tai’s face was saddened. "But—But big sister will be mad."
Aaron stopped and turned to her. "She asked you to find me, didn’t she?"
Tai Tai nodded while wiping her eyes.
"Well, you found me. She shouldn’t be mad about that."
After that, Aaron walked away, heading out the same way he had come. Tai Tai followed behind hoping to get him to go and see Tai Yang with her, but all her efforts were fruitless. The minute they reached the long flight of stairs that led to the outside of the inn, Tai Tai gave up and simply stared helplessly as the man descended.
"But big sister Tai Yang will be mad," she whispered, wiping her eyes.
Little did she know that the very person that she was worried about had been watching all this time. Tai Yang stood at the windows of another chamber of one of the inn’s many courthouses, watching them in secrecy and observing the strange guest especially.
Seeing Aaron depart, Tai Yang smiled and unfurled her fan while giggling.
"Lady Serena would be very pleased to hear this."

Aaron returned to the inn where the rest of his group was lodged with a few items in his hand and a candy stick in his mouth. He entered and saw them gathered around a table discussing heaven knows what.
"Boss," the Mohawk Guy said, gaining Souzane’s attention. With a nod, he directed Souzane’s attention towards Aaron who had just entered.
Aaron walked up to them with the items in his hands. Reaching there, he dropped them on the table. It was food, most especially meat. The rest of the crew rejoiced at the sight of it and began to tear through the bags but Souzane wasn’t bought over by his gestures.
"You can’t bribe me with this, boy," she said. "Where have you been?"
Aaron took the candy stick out of his mouth. "Boy?" He laughed briefly. "It’s no more ’pretty face’, huh?"
Souzane gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. "That doesn’t matter right now. The point is that you were supposed to be here for our meeting."
Aaron stepped up close to her. "As what? Your member? Your subordinate?"
He scoffed and after a while of intense eye contact, he walked away.
"I trust you to brief me later," he said, annoying Souzane even more.
In her fit of rage, she kicked hard against an empty chair nearby, felling it. This drew even the attention of the innkeeper.
The old man that was in charge of the inn dragged his feet outside. "You will pay extra for whatever you break!" he yelled from where he was.
Souzane gave him a scary look and walked back to her group.
"Whatever, old man."

Aaron got to his room and sat down, pondering the story that Mister Kim had told him about the real Aaron’s father, Isaac Winters. He took the clues bit by bit, analysing and considering the pros and cons of each one and how it would help him in this world.
Then it hit him.
SNAP!
Aaron snapped his fingers and rubbed his chin with excitement.
’I know they had a role to play with what happened with the Stream of Life,’ he considered in his mind.
’If they know that I’m here already after all this time, it means that some of them are probably lurking and waiting for me.’
Aaron got up and turned towards the mirror, already taking his true demonic form.
’That also means that some of my own might be in this world as well.’
Muahahaha!
