Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 217: The mall
Leon was sitting on the sofa, resting his head on the backrest with his phone placed by his side.
He has been like that for close to an hour.
He wasn’t sleeping, staring at the door Mark had retreated into.
When they finished their breakfast, Leon had once again shunned Mark when he tried to hug him as a thank-you. Leon had dismissed Mark’s affection once more, claiming he wanted some peace. And, with a sad smile, Mark nodded and walked away.
It’s been a whole day, and Mark hasn’t left his office. Leon had walked around the whole house, napped on the couch, watched a freaking show on the TV, yet his dear mate was nowhere to be seen.
Now, he sat bored on the chair, staring at the ceiling.
He almost forgot the sound of his voice. He wasn’t even sure if he could still speak. He needed to test that.
With a sudden determination, he stood from the sofa and walked toward Mark’s office.
He reached in front of it and raised his hand to knock but quickly lowered it, shaking his head.
’I’ll just go in,’ he thought to himself and placed his hand on the handle, twisting open before he changed his mind.
"Leon?" Mark called from behind his desk, surprised to see Leon inside his office.
He immediately stood and walked toward Leon, who was leaning against the door, staring at him with unreadable eyes.
"Are you alright? Do you need something?" Mark asked softly, a crease forming on his brows.
He stood in front of Leon and raised his hand to touch him but brought it down halfway when he recalled that Leon had stated the no-contact rule.
"What do you need?" Mark asked, fixing his hands in his pockets.
Leon frowned when he saw Mark’s withdrawal. He knew he had been the one to cause it; it bothered him, though. He didn’t like that Mark had completely chosen to remove his presence from him.
He felt lost...
Leon leaned away from the door, stepping closer to Mark, "What are you doing in here? Oh... working, right?" He folded his arms.
Mark slowly nodded, "Yeah, most of the time I was working. But... right now, I’m just watching a movie... too tired to work." He gently rubbed his eyes.
Leon raised a brow, observing Mark’s tired face, "Oh... I see. Leaving me alone outside to speak to the walls, " he commented calmly.
Mark frowned, taking his hand out of his pocket to hold Leon’s hand. "I’m sorry. I thought that’s what you wanted. You want me around you now?" His voice was tender as he pulled Leon closer to himself, gazing gently into his eyes.
Leon blinked slowly, aiming softly as Mark’s hand held his arm. The steady warmth melted away the ghostly feeling he’s been feeling the whole day.
"Can I hug you?" Mark asked, sensing Leon’s inner turmoil.
He knew Leon was stressing. The mate bond was making him feel things he swore not to feel, and Mark knew that the distance between them was torture... to him, too.
Leon sighed and slowly nodded, closing the distance between them and placing his head on Mark’s shoulder.
Mark closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Leon’s waist, hugging him warmly.
He sniffed Leon’s hair and pressed his lips on his forehead, leaving them there.
Leon felt his hands sneaking up around Mark’s shoulders, locking his fingers behind Mark’s neck.
Times like this, Leon wanted to give in to the mate bond. Mark’s arms and body felt like the right and best place to be. He felt safe and complete.
"You know... I’m here for you whenever you need me," Mark whispered.
"If what you want is just reassuring touches, I’m flexible. I can do that for you. I can be your friend, your mate, boyfriend, husband... whichever one you pick in the end." Mark sighed, glancing at Leon’s closed eyes as he still had his head on his shoulder.
"You don’t have to be hard on yourself just to prove that you don’t want me. I’ll never mock you for showing me how you truly feel," He took his hand to Leon’s head and slid his finger into his hair, his lips lowering to his ear.
"I know you feel it, Leon. You feel the mate bond, but you’re fighting it, and it will only make it harder for us if you keep resisting it. I feel it more than you do, baby... You wouldn’t understand how crazy this distance is driving me. I want you, Leon, but I’ll be patient, accompanying you with my presence until you decide my fate in your hands," Mark spoke quietly, his fingers gently digging into Leon’s waist.
Leon was still unable to open his eyes. He was shy; Mark’s words had left him flushed like a maiden, and he wanted to kiss Mark.
But, something was holding him back, and he knew that if he opened his eyes, Mark would see his intentions through them.
"Say something, sweetheart. Is this you taking a step forward, or is this a momentary recharge?" Mark questioned calmly.
Whatever the answer was, he would be patient with Leon.
Leon took a deep breath, "I’m bored... I think I want to go get something at the mall." Leon whispered.
Mark sighed. Once again, his advances had been shut down.
But he wasn’t greedy, he had asked for Leon’s presence alone, and that’s exactly why he was getting.
"Then I’ll take you to the mall," Mark said, gently releasing Leon from his arms.
Leon nodded and walked out of the office, his heart pounding.
’Damn... this is too much," he whispered.
Leon wondered how it must be for Mark, as a werewolf, he would feel the bond more than he did. If that was so, then Mark was internally suffering.
Leon realised that the distance he was creating between them was crushing Mark.
Maybe... just maybe, he could do something about that.
But, was it out of pity? Compelling? Or genuine want?
He didn’t know, he would have to find out himself.
Who would blame him for being unsure? He had suddenly been tossed into this new world of feelings and sexual realisation... who could blame him, really?
After a minute of finding which of Mark’s clothes suited him best for the occasion, he ended up with a simple navy blue shirt and black pants.
He thought of asking Mark to take him back to the pack to get his stuff but he decided against it.
Somewhere in his sick brain, he was enjoying wearing Mark’s clothes, as he was enjoying the primal look Mark gave him each time he changed into something new that belonged to him.
Just like Mark was doing as Leon walked toward the car. He held open the door for Leon, his eyes devouring Leon’s body as his hand gripped tightly onto the side of the door to keep himself from touching Leon.
"Thank you," Leon gave Mark a small smile before entering the car.
"You’re welcome," Mark replied and gently closed the door before walking around to get in beside Leon.
As the car moved, Leon had a secret smile on his face. He had been right. Mark’s eyes had hungrily roamed his body as he entered the car; he couldn’t help but imagine what was going on in Mark’s head.
"Do you think the clothes fit?" He asked calmly, pretending to act like he was worried about their minor size differences. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
He watched carefully as Mark’s fingers tightened around the wheel, jaws clenching.
"They fit you perfectly, Leon. I love it when you wear my clothes, but I think I’d love it more when you’re naked," Mark said without a flinch. Focusing on the road like he hadn’t just dropped an explicit bomb on Leon.
Leon immediately adjusted on his chair, feeling hot. He pressed his legs together, winding down the windows to let the evening breeze cool his heating body.
He had just wanted to tease Mark, but he ended up being the one who got teased.
He didn’t reply, focusing on letting the breeze cool him off.
"Horny?" Mark’s question was low, husky.
"Very-no! I meant, no, I’m not horny. You’re not supposed to ask that!" Leon gritted out, embarrassment swallowing him whole as he turned his face completely to the window, his cheeks flaming.
Mark smirked, "No need to be embarrassed about it. If it makes you feel better, I’m always horny with you around. We’re mates, it’s completely normal to want to fuck each other wherever, and whenever." He explained with mirth in his voice.
"Just be quiet, please," Leon murmured.
"We’re here," Mark said, chuckling as he left the car.
Leon quickly got down before Mark would come and open the door for him, he didn’t want that proximity between them at the moment.
Mark gently closed Leon’s door and smiled, "It wouldn’t be long, Leon. Just a little more time." He murmured.
