Have You Written Your Will Today?-Chapter 505 - 498: Wedding
Stars are sparsely scattered. The night is tranquil.
Shen Hua tilts her head but no longer brings up the embroidery. She presses one hand on the desk: "Do you still remember the little garment you took from the inn? I originally thought you threw it away, considering how long it’s been, but unexpectedly, it’s still treasured in the wardrobe."
"Indeed, the depths of your affection."
A playful look crosses her eyes, recklessly coquettish, each word a challenge to Cui Yun’s self-control: "That little garment is too small now, unable to be worn long ago. Cousin, do you want to exchange it for another one?"
Cui Yun’s eyes, dark and solemn, stare straight at her. His heart’s rhythm pulses over and over again. Indescribable emotions overflow.
Seeing Shen Hua’s expression growing more and more smug, he suddenly speaks out.
"That’s fine."
Shen Hua: ?
How can he respond so shamelessly when she makes such a suggestion?
His voice, cool and clear: "The one you are wearing now. After all, it was the one you changed out of after your bath."
Shen Hua: ??
So you picked on that, huh?
He’s even considerate, a gentleman both upright and polite, but what he says is far from virtuous: "Shall you give it now, or shall I help?"
Shen Hua: "Are you keeping it to wear yourself! What will you do with such a private item?"
Cui Yun speaks evenly: "It’s cold, and I can’t deceive you into easing it for me, nor do I want to bathe in cold water, I can only use your little garment after I go back..."
Shen Hua widens her eyes.
Such dirty talk!
Indeed, she still can’t outdo Cui Yun.
Unwilling to listen further, she quickly covers her ears. Looking at Cui Yun, he shows no surprise; instead, he looks at her with interest.
As if he had already guessed Shen Hua’s reaction. It seems, he deliberately did this, just to see her embarrassment.
Competitive Yangyang, feeling a blockage in her chest as if from cotton.
She cannot lose!
Is it not just a contest of who can be more audacious?
The girl gathers her courage, leaning forward. Before she can act mischievously.
"Sit properly."
The more he does this, the more Shen Hua harbors thoughts.
Last night it snowed all night; it’s very cold outside, but the boat’s cabin curtains are thick and tightly covered, and with the charcoal fire burning, Shen Hua quickly feels too hot and takes off her cloak. Her delicate small face, tender as a peeled egg, exceptionally charming.
Her pale fingertips begin to undo the clasps and belts, the outer robe falls. Underneath, the embroidered jacket still reveals her slender waist barely graspable.
She notices Cui Yun’s wine cup shake slightly in his hand, spilling a little wine.
Shen Hua feels at ease.
This is how Yangyang controls the situation.
Cui Yun, leisurely holding the wine cup, leans back. Not swayed by her antics: "What idea are you concocting this time?"
The girl shakes her head, deliberately speaking slowly.
"Nothing much, just a whimsical impulse I couldn’t control, desperately wanting to have your body."
Cui Yun’s eyes flicker, he looks down: "Wishful thinking."
"In consideration of the bracelet, I’ve changed my mind. How about I make up for it with a gift for the New Year?"
"How does that little garment count, Cui Yun, what do you think about me?"
She doesn’t tire easily, her eyes moist. The girl gets up, lifts her skirt and sits down next to him. As she draws closer, the sweet fragrance of a young woman is inescapable. Shen Hua feels Cui Yun’s body tense in an instant.
"I’ll give myself to you as a New Year’s gift."
"So, will you accept it?"
Cui Yun’s jaw tightens.
Shen Hua isn’t in a hurry, she bows her head to untie the strings, her mind still on Cui Yun, constantly attentive. It takes a long while to unravel one tie.
In the next instant, a tightening at the waist, a fiery kiss falls.
He grasps the girl’s chin, as if it were jade: "Playing with me, are you?"
Shen Hua shakes her head.
She becomes exceedingly aggravated: "It’s... tied a dead knot."
Cui Yun holding her, sits her on the desk, his gaze intense, assisting with her waist, lips and teeth interwoven in a slow lingering kiss.
With just a slight pull, the string breaks. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
He unfastened the front of her garment, impudently lowering his head to kiss her beautiful collarbone.
His breath grew heavy.
Shen Hua tightly wrapped her arms around his neck, her body laid down.
As the situation became uncontrollable, she smirked like someone who had succeeded in a mischievous plan.
"I almost forgot, I’m still young, you have to hold back."
She encouraged him, "You’ve always been able to control yourself before, I didn’t agree to try and yet you didn’t listen, I suppose you can manage this time too."
Cui Yun paused, his rational mind returning as he lay on top of her unmoving, and after a long while, Shen Hua could hear him sigh deeply.
"I give up."
————
At the start of March, Shen Hua set off for Fengzhou.
The embroidery workshop no longer took in large orders. With more time available, the embroidery ladies began to divide the work. Some continued to complete the embroideries for the earlier exhibition, while others started to embroider according to the designs given by Shen Hua.
The embroidery was then sold in the hall.
The Hengzhou branch was the first to open.
Days as usual, seasons change in turn.
March 8th, very auspicious, suitable for marriage.
As dawn broke, Shen Hua bathed and was again pushed in front of her makeup table, a cold handkerchief touching her face, briefly awaking her. The dark circles under her eyes were apparent.
Wei Yingying let a palace maid hold the Prince, only then coming forward to size her up.
"Did you turn into a thief last night?"
Shen Hua swatted her away irritably. She listlessly ate the food Yicui served her.
"Thinking that I’ll have to call you Imperial Sister-in-law makes me feel uncomfortable all night."
An old woman then came to comb her hair and apply makeup.
When the auspicious time arrived, noise erupted outside.
Ningzhu ran in: "The wedding procession is here!"
The room became a flurry of hurried movements, Xie Xun entered, the siblings exchanged looks.
He still remembered, the Chun Family bringing thread, gentle as always.
—I just hope Yangyang finds a good place to belong.
The wedding dress was stunning, beautifully embroidered with flowers and magpies signifying happiness; the embroidery thread gradually shaded to create a natural effect. The pattern filled the dress, lifelike, with a big-sleeved shirt of flowing green and crimson. Flower designs had dangling rice pearls and tassels, understated yet luxurious.
She wore a crown with rainbow-colored garments and ’step shake’ ornaments, donned with numerous small decorations.
Her eyes, like autumn waters, slightly flushed like shy dimples. Even hibiscuses could not surpass her makeup.
He walked forward trance-like and took the brocade cover that Yicui handed over.
Shen Hua sniffled. From the day their engagement was set, she had only started to feel nervous about getting married the day before.
"Don’t cry, Yangyang, now you’re a grown girl, brother will always be there for you."
He gently placed the cover over her.
Shen Hua leaned against Xie Xun’s back.
When it was time to hand her over to Cui Yun, he whispered lowly, "If she suffers even the slightest bit of unhappiness..."
"She won’t," Cui Yun, dressed in his wedding attire, interrupted gently.
"Okay, I trust you."
She entered the flower sedan chair, and amidst the blowing horns and beating drums, the procession circled the town.
After walking over the brazier, and bowing three times in the hall.
Shen Hua clutching the red silk, unable to see the path clearly, stumbled while walking the steps, and he faintly supported her.
Once in the bridal chamber, Shen Hua finally settled on the wedding bed, hearing only a creak – the clamor cut off outside the door.
"Cui Yun, what do you mean by keeping us outside? You can’t do this!"
"Alright! If you won’t let us in, at least let the matchmaker in!"
Shen Hua was tired after the whole day, and now her fingers were too lazy to move.
The girl sat quietly, her fingers like scallion roots resting on her lap, clad in red with bare hands.
Cui Yun looked at her for a long time, unable to get enough, inexplicably satisfied.
Before him was his house, his bed, and the person he had long yearned for.
