He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 624. Auction 3
Everyone turned in the direction of the one who had placed the bid. Whispers started spreading.
"He’s not in the VIP session?"
"He’s very wealthy. Must be some powerful young master from some wealthy family."
"Yeah, he’s only a rank 5 beginner stage universe level powerhouse after all. That’s the only explanation."
As murmurs spread, the Auction facilitator himself was exceedingly euphoric, though it didn’t show on his face.
At this point, receiving a promotion to become a senior auction officer was bound to happen.
Kailen was naturally calm.
Legoland observed everything in intrigue.
How would Kailen handle this?
In his opinion, they should not try to stand out too much. Although they needed the spaceship, the fellow they had just outbid was a rank 5 intermediate stage universe level powerhouse. Also, no one knew what power was backing him.
Openly offending someone like that was not a wise thing to do.
But, they needed the spaceship too.
Kailen naturally knew what his perceptive acquaintance was thinking.
He simply nodded to Legoland. He agreed with his reasoning. That blue-skinned guy was not simple. They needed the spaceship, but he had to use the method that came with the least risk of getting into any trouble.
A glint flashed through his eyes.
The blue-skinned guy didn’t reveal any expression.
He was equally calm.
Money was not a problem for him.
He voiced, "I bid 30,000 universe coins."
The moment he placed the bid, many were expecting the fellow with chestnut hair and hazel eyes to place another bid.
However, he remained silent.
The auction facilitator was praying that the guy with chestnut hair would place another bid, so that the price would increase. However, the fellow didn’t say anything. He just kept calm and quiet.
The blue-skinned fellow and his counterpart were calm on the surface. However, they were praying that the fellow with chestnut hair wouldn’t try to outbid them again. They had money, but they didn’t want to spend all their money on this spaceship. If the fellow was to keep trying to outbid them, they would have to spend all their money on this spaceship. If he got the spaceship, they would have had no option but to track him down and kill him.
Kailen was naturally studying them. Their subtle facial expressions revealed their thoughts.
His and Legoland’s judgment had been spot on. This was the right approach.
The other guests were expecting to enjoy a good show. However, the mysterious ’young master’ didn’t place another bid.
He simply sat there calmly without placing another bid.
"30,000 universe coins going once."
"30,000 universe coins going twice."
"30,000 universe coins going thrice. Sold. Congratulations, sir."
The blue-skinned fellow nodded. He quickly sent the money to the transaction account of the chamber of commerce. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"That will be the end of the auction. Thank you everyone for coming," the auction facilitator said with a pleased look, not the practiced professional smile he always displayed to customers.
A promotion was due, after all.
Not bothered about his thoughts, after his announcement, everyone left the auction house.
Kailen and Legoland included.
They went to a nearby hotel, booked a double-room apartment for a week, and decided to initiate the next level of the plan there.
Legoland decided to use the time to cultivate a bit as Kailen went through with his mysterious plan of getting them the spaceship back.
Right when they left the auction hall, Kailen had sent a shadow hound after the blue-skinned fellow and his counterpart who had won the spaceship.

Kanthu Empire.
Varum Galaxy.
Karag Star System.
In a planetary district.
Two blue-skinned individuals, a man and a woman, entered a large hall in an apartment.
Their eyes scanned the room. Everyone was here.
"Boss, you really managed to get it, ha! We can finally leave this place," a petite human lady with a gleeful expression said.
Another fellow, a male vampire scrolling through streaming channels on his ID slot screen, added, "I guess we can finally take that long vacation."
The boss and his wife chuckled.
"Have you contacted the others?" the boss said, voice directed towards the vampire.
"Yes, boss. They will meet us in front of a teleportation gate I’ve assigned," the vampire replied.
"Good. We can finally leave. Let’s meet them there," the boss sighed.
"Boss," the gleeful lady said with a nervous expression, "Does that mean the Rustfang Corsairs will disband?"
The boss’s wife, the vice leader, chuckled. "No, silly. We are just planning on laying low for a while because we are wanted by several empires now. How can we disband? It’s too fun being pirates."
A crazy glint flashed through her eyes.
Kailen observed everything. The human lady with a gleeful expression and the vampire were all rank 4 intermediate stage universe level powerhouses.
Also, there were others joining them.
Most importantly, these fellows...
"Rustfang Corsairs." Kailen did a quick search on them.
These fellows were wanted syndicates in different empires in the starry sea, known for all manner of crimes.
Looks like they changed their identities and looks to avoid being caught.
A glint flashed through his eyes as he pieced everything together. "So, they desperately wanted the spaceship because they want to avoid being caught. Using its rank 8 concealment ability, they can escape from the region, lay low for a while till the high alert on them dies down, without being detected. After all, no supreme stage universe level powerhouse is likely in the region to detect them. Even the emperor of this empire himself is said to be a rank 7 intermediate stage universe level powerhouse. Supreme stage universe level powerhouses are quite rare, after all."
Kailen went through their list of crimes more patiently. He was some saint, doing this to know how to punish them or exact vengeance on those they wronged. He was doing this for the sake of his plan. For what he had in mind to work, he needed this little bit of information.
Very soon, he figured he was ready. He had enough information to act.
But he was patient.
He waited.
The rest of the Rustfang Corsairs, all at rank 3 intermediate stage universe level, met with the two leaders, the vampire, and the cheerful human lady.
The spaceship appeared before them. They entered it. The spaceship assumed a concealed state. No one in the vicinity could see anything there.
Unless they were at the supreme stage universe level, they would not see anything here.
Kailen had activated his elemental mirroring. He was observing everything through the eyes of the shadow creature. He could see them in the spaceship. Also, thanks to the concealment runes inscribed on the spaceship, he could see the universe energy pulsing across the spaceship, making its outline extremely clear.
To him, they were not invisible.
The spaceship bolted through the teleportation gate.
The Rustfang Corsairs thought they had taken their first strategic step away from public eyes that wanted them eliminated. However, they did not know they were being hunted by a patient predator.
