Seriously... Michael let out a sigh as an angel approached him, attempting to cut him down.

However, with a mere punch to the chin, the angel was sent flying into the sky, his head bent at a weird angle.

Hmm... Despite no longer being a Tier 17 reduced to a Tier 3, my strength is still fairly decent, Michael thought with a whistle.

If he had to estimate, that punch was roughly at the level of a Tier 5, which wasn't bad for a weak punch.

But that seemed to impress the system.

[How did you just do that? That was a perfect punch. It took me a few decades to perfect it, yet you just did it randomly.]

Michael rolled his eyes. I guess I'm just built different.

It was definitely not because he was currently using that experience to his advantage.

But in the end, it was his own experience he was using, so in reality, it didn't matter much.

The only thing he had to do was not expose to the system that he was different.

Simple.

Nonetheless, he turned toward Lundel and Rass, who were scattered around, thwacking everyone with their makeshift hammers of light.

It was funny to see, especially from people who were nearly 10 times his age.

However, he didn't bother much with it, as Michael merely summoned a golden throne for himself and comfortably sat down.

The surrounding angels were confused by his actions and attempted to attack him.

But before they could even get close, a sword of light shot out from the ground, impaling their wings and sending them flying off the courtyard into a nearby wall.

The same applied to everyone who approached, and that was why he was able to simply enjoy his time, even taking a little nap.

However, the numbers were dwindling less than he expected, and frankly, some people were coming back.

He had eliminated them, obviously, but since the headmaster didn't intervene, he had to put an end to it himself.

Before he could do that, however, the system interjected.

[Don't kill. The Angel of Mercy, remember? This is like a trial of sorts, and the only thing you need to do is wait for the others to be stupid.]

Hmm... You're right, Michael chuckled.

Here he was, being tutored by himself.

Despite that, he sat back down and watched as the others struggled.

And finally, someone died.

—You! You broke the rules!

—Rules? What rules? Do you see anyone solidifying those rules!?

Yep, that's about how the argument should have gone, Michael nodded to himself, and soon, Rass, alongside Lundel, approached his throne, heaving heavy breaths.

"Dude, you're here sitting while we are fighting! Help us out here!"

"Why would I?" Michael shrugged. "I did say we should become a team, but I didn't say anything about fighting others."

"What do you think being in a team means, you egghead!" Rass yelled. "We're struggling, and you're sitt—oh..."

Michael silenced the two of them by conjuring two stools for them to sit on. "Tired? Sit."

"...I don't believe you, junior, you're really taking care of us elders?" Lundel said with respect in his tone, before sitting down. "I approve!"

"Same," Rass added, and he too sat down.

As they did, the entire courtyard became silent.

Some people were fighting for their lives and future, and yet there were three people sitting idly by, watching them do all the hard work.

It was safe to say they weren't happy.

But before any of them could approach, Michael summoned a golden dome of light, surrounding a few meters around him, making sure no one could approach.

This sure is the life... Michael exclaimed, leaning back in his throne.

But just as he was about to fall asleep, a heavy impact resounded on his dome, nearly cracking it.

As he turned to look, he noticed the white-haired girl from earlier glaring at him.

"I think she likes you," Rass remarked with a chuckle.

"She definitely does. A succubus gave me some information on how to read people, trust me, I know," Lundel added, making Michael roll his eyes at them.

Nonetheless, the number of people was dwindling greatly, and now there were only a couple hundred left.

Still not the 25% the headmaster was looking for, but it was close.

The moment he looked away from the girl, he suddenly felt someone sitting beside him in the throne.

As he turned toward the person, he noticed the white-haired girl leaning casually, while shooting him a disinterested glance.

"Sorry, but I can't let you enjoy all this comfort alone. I still haven't learned how to summon stuff like this, so for now, what do you say about becoming my servant?"

Michael raised his brow. "Are you an idiot?"

Despite him being slightly amused, this girl was clearly an idiot. Therefore, he grabbed her wrist and flung her off the throne, making her collide with the barrier.

But she seemed adamant, as she stood up and took a few steps toward him. "I'm Celeste Everdawn, and I want to negotiate."

"What is there to negotiate? I'm not becoming your servant," Michael shot back. "If anything, why don't you become mine? I need a guide in heaven."

"Deal," Celeste nodded, making him halt in place.

"Deal? What?" Michael asked, not sure if he heard it right.

"I said I agree. Deal. I'll become your servant and lead you around, but in exchange, I want you to summon those thrones for me," Celeste replied with a warm smile.

"You really are something, aren't you?" Michael let out a chuckle and summoned another throne, as equally grandiose as his own. "Welcome aboard, Celeste. I'm Michael."

An underling was always nice to have, and one he didn't have to train? Even better.

Celeste jumped up in excitement before slumping down in the throne and seemingly falling asleep.

However, he did have one concern even after all of this.

How did she manage to get inside?

He took a few glances around and didn't notice even a single hole in his dome.

Yet she got through.

"Hey Celeste, how did you get inside?" Michael asked, but didn't receive an answer.

He stood up to check on her, only to find she was already sleeping peacefully.

Hmm... I attract weirdos, it seems like, Michael noted down, and finally took one good glance around the courtyard.

Blood was splattered everywhere, and angel corpses were all around the place.

However, some people ran away to the corners and did a strategy similar to Michael's by merely surrounding themselves with a barrier.

Finally, a fierce pressure descended on all of them, destroying their barriers in an instant, Michael's included.

And with that, the headmaster dropped back down to the ground before flashing everyone a fierce look.

But the fiercest look was directed toward the people who killed.

"I've noted down everyone who has killed. Don't make me embarrass you. Get out willingly," he stated coldly.

Immediately, a few students left with gloomy expressions on their faces.

However, there were a select few who were idiots and chose not to leave.

Instead, they protested.

"Headmaster, why should we leave? You told us only 25% would pass, aren't we in the 25%?"

"It seems like I've made a mistake. Instead of 25% passing, only 18% passed. And yes, what exactly do you think the main virtue of the Angel of Mercy is?"

"...To be merciful?"

"And to do that, you mustn't kill. You killed, you failed, now get out of here," the headmaster finished, and turned toward the people who passed. "As for the rest of you, good job. You understood the assignment, and I'm happy I have people with a brain to teach."

"Now then..." The headmaster lowered his tone and flicked his fingers.

The moment he did, the people who failed and didn't leave the courtyard were turned to dust.

"That is all for today. I've noted each one of you down, with the addition of the youngest angel here." He shot a nod toward Michael. "What's your name again?"

"Michael... Light?" Michael said, trying to sound hesitant.

After all, it really was his name, but he didn't want the system to know he knew.

"Hmm... You're using the name of an Archangel. I see you've got some balls," the headmaster chuckled, narrowing his eyes. "Welcome to Heaven, Michael, and with that, welcome to Heaven Academy."

Michael nodded absentmindedly, hoping the headmaster would finally stop paying attention to him.

Soon, he did, and flicked his finger once more, making a piece of paper materialize inside Michael's hands.

"This is the dorm room. I heard you don't have anywhere to stay, so stay here," the headmaster said with a warm smile before turning around. "Also... Wash up, you stink."

"...Sure," Michael replied.

"Last piece of information." The headmaster began floating off the ground before adding, "Classes start tomorrow, and they will be rough. I wish you the best of luck and preparation."

With that, the headmaster disappeared into the sky, leaving a dazed Michael behind.

[Congratulations, you got in.] The system commented.

Thanks... But you don't happen to have a map of this place, do you? Michael asked, scratching his head.

But as though the question was obvious, the system immediately pulled up the entire map of heaven, and then some.

It even had markers for restaurants, baths, the academy, and even a few strip clubs, which the system quickly deleted.

[Sorry about that. Habit.] The system added.

Michael rolled his eyes before picking the first stop to be the dorms.

After all, it was about time he washed up.
