Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 223 - 224: Guidance from a Master of Love!
Moreover, this was one of the top-tier hotels in Jiang City, and they would absolutely never allow Qin Long to cause a scene. However, the receptionist wasn’t angry in the least. In fact, he maintained a polite smile.
"No problem, sir," the male receptionist answered courteously, leading the way. "Right this way, please."
"Wait, Qin Long, what is this?" Tang Xuewu’s jaw practically hit the floor. Since when did the Longquan Grand Hotel have such a high tolerance for just anyone? It would be one thing if they were this respectful to a major figure like Jiang Haijing. But neither she nor Qin Long were big shots, so why the reverence?
Tang Xuewu was lost in thought, a feeling that something was very wrong creeping over her. Something is off! Before, we couldn’t even get in... After all, this place isn’t for the average person; only the young masters and ladies of powerful families come here. Ordinary people can’t even get past the front door... But now, they’ve skipped all the checks and are personally taking us to see the stargazing dome and letting us stroll around?
"Maybe Mr. Qin is a super big shot?" Zi’er, the tall girl in the leather jacket, offered slowly from the side.
"What? Qin Long is a super big shot?" Hearing this, Tang Xuewu burst out laughing. Of course, she wasn’t mocking Qin Long. She simply knew his situation all too well; he couldn’t possibly be a "super big shot." Even if he had come into some money and could afford a visit to the Longquan Hotel, that didn’t make him an important person. After all, anyone with enough money could get in.
"What are you daydreaming about, Xuewu?" Qin Long looked at her and playfully tapped her on the nose.
Only then did Tang Xuewu snap back to reality and carefully help Qin Long walk inside. Everything along the way was exceedingly luxurious, from the incredibly wide corridor to the magnificent stargazing dome that looked like a ceiling full of stars. There was also a VR system that allowed you to simulate and experience things anytime, anywhere. The Yulong Tai courtyard in Jiang City’s Yu Long Residential Area already covered an exceptionally large area, but it seemed utterly insignificant compared to the Longquan Hotel.
"Esteemed guests, you can use the simulation system to view every room," the handsome male receptionist said, looking at Qin Long and Tang Xuewu with a deferential expression. "Please let us know if you have any requests or suggestions."
Tang Xuewu couldn’t shake the feeling that the receptionist’s attitude towards Qin Long was overly respectful, as if he were some truly incredible figure. This became even more apparent after Qin Long offered a satisfied smile, which made the receptionist’s demeanor even more diligent.
How strange... A fog of confusion clouded Tang Xuewu’s mind.
"Tang Xuewu, do you like this design?" Qin Long asked, looking at her earnestly. "If there’s anything you don’t like, just say so."
"Um, this?" Tang Xuewu quickly nudged his foot. "Long, don’t mess around! Be careful not to annoy them, or they’ll kick us out," she whispered cautiously. Even if she did have an opinion, what were the chances they’d actually change anything?
"Miss, please feel free to bring up anything at all," the receptionist interjected smoothly. "These are all preparations for the fiftieth-anniversary celebration. If we receive your valuable feedback, we will certainly make changes."
Hearing the receptionist’s words, Qin Long gave him a subtle thumbs-up.
"The fiftieth-anniversary celebration?" Suddenly, Tang Xuewu understood everything. So this was all a service booked by Wang Ming?
The joyous look on her pretty face was instantly replaced by a dark scowl.
"I suddenly feel unwell. I’m leaving," she said abruptly, turning to leave and leaving Qin Long completely bewildered.
"Xuewu, you’re not feeling well?" Qin Long immediately moved toward her, intending to check her pulse.
Tang Xuewu violently wrenched her hand away. "Don’t touch me!" she shouted, her voice thick with disappointment as she gestured toward the big screen displaying the exquisitely decorated Sky Garden. "Qin Long, is this the present you prepared for me?"
"Yeah... Yes..." Qin Long was dumbfounded. She doesn’t like it?
Hearing his confirmation, Tang Xuewu clenched her fists even tighter, a look of despair on her face. "This was all prepared with someone else’s money! You bring me here and ask me to give suggestions? Do you take me for a three-year-old?"
She was so angry she was on the verge of tears. Who brings their fiancée to see a grand hotel prepared by another man? You might as well just give your fiancée to him! Wouldn’t that be better? But she couldn’t bring herself to say something so heartless.
"I just thought..." Qin Long was still completely lost. He knew she was misunderstanding him.
He was just about to explain when Tang Xuewu cut him off with a wave of her hand. "Don’t you dare try to explain. I know Wang Ming is richer and more powerful than you; I understand you can’t compete with him. But I never forced you to go against him, and besides, I don’t care about such superficial things! What is the meaning of bringing me to this lavish, gilded hotel today? Are you mocking me? Trying to tell me not to be a materialistic gold-digger?"
Tang Xuewu trembled with rage. She couldn’t understand why Qin Long would try to take credit for Wang Ming’s efforts. Wasn’t this just using someone else’s achievements to try and win her over? And he knew perfectly well that Wang Ming had designs on her, yet he still deliberately did this... She was utterly disappointed in him.
"Xuewu, it’s not what you think," Qin Long began, about to reveal everything.
But Tang Xuewu gave him no chance. Covering her mouth, she rushed outside in a huff. "I’m not listening! I’m not listening! You can just stay here and enjoy the view yourself!"
Both Zi’er and the handsome receptionist stood by, completely stunned.
"Mr. Qin, why is Miss Tang so angry?" Zi’er asked, touching her delicate chin with a puzzled expression. Even though she was also a woman, she couldn’t understand it.
Qin Long shook his head helplessly. "Sigh, a woman’s heart is so hard to understand!" he lamented. "As the project manager for the Tang Family, she is incredibly capable at work. But the moment something involves me, she becomes so quick to anger."
He sighed again and reluctantly lit a cigarette.
"Mr. Qin, that just means Miss Tang genuinely cares about you!" the male receptionist chimed in after a moment, a knowing smirk on his face. "Otherwise, why would she be so sensitive about matters related to you?"
"Really?" Qin Long’s expression immediately brightened into a smile.
"Absolutely! It’s precisely because she cares that she’s so sensitive. That’s why Miss Tang can’t think rationally when it comes to you!" The handsome receptionist’s expression was serious as he continued his analysis. "As the saying goes, ’even an upright official finds it hard to settle family disputes.’ It’s obvious she already sees you as family. Otherwise, she wouldn’t give a damn about your affairs, much less get angry and run off."
Qin Long exhaled a smoke ring and looked over at Zi’er. "Is he right?"
When it came to these matters, Zi’er was a complete blank slate. She’d never even had a boyfriend, so how would she know?
"It... seems to make sense..." Zi’er said, feigning deep thought before waving her hand hastily. "It must be that."
"Of course it is," the male receptionist declared, patting his chest with confidence. "Mr. Qin, as an expert in the art of love, I absolutely guarantee it. Miss Tang definitely cares about you."
