Heir of Mana:Beast made king-Chapter 57: The day the dungeon disappeared
As the world was still spiraling about the news brought by its patron goddess, one group was steadily moving towards the location it had originated from, unknowingly.
Sent by the Nazar kingdom to clear the mana beast outbreak on floor forty-nine.
"Ahh, you think the kingdom would give us even more rewards if we cleared floor sixty instead of just getting rid of the mana beasts infesting floor forty-nine?"
Asked the woman lying down in the back of the carriage; she had bright yellow hair, cut short in a pixie cut. Her eyes took on the same hue with a black ring around the outer edges of her irises.
She wore a thin iron armor that provided just enough protection while allowing her to move freely.
But even with this armor covering the majority of her body, one could still see the magnificent outline of her body.
Some would say just this alone would win her a war.
"No, we were given a simple job to clear the forty-ninth floor, look for any irregularities, and place the artifact; that is all. Doing anything more would be an act of insubordination, is that clear, Emily?!"
A man replied, his voice deep and gruff, and his face was the exact match for the expectations his voice presented.
He was a tall, muscular man with short black hair and gray eyes that held almost no life, no sense of excitement, as if he was tired of the world itself.
His body was barely contained by the armor he was wearing; his armor was widely different from the one the women had on.
It was like thick pieces of iron were just thrown together into the shape of armor, and apparently, that was exactly as it should have been since he didn’t look like he had any problem moving around with it.
"Oh, come on, Captain Ray, don’t be such a buzzkill. They won’t take that as insubordination. How could they, after all? We would be doing them a massive favor, giving them more floors to mine freely from. I say Emily’s a genius."
A young man said that it was almost like a carbon copy of the captain. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Even though he was smaller and looked more.... Alive, there was no doubt he looked like the apparent captain, they shared the same hair, eyes, and height but one looked to be a Mountain, the other a tree.
And he just like the others was wearing the very same iron armor although his was very light, even lighter than the woman he was supporting.
"Oh Shut up Kris, no one likes a kiss ass isnt that right Emily?"
"Haha, couldn’t have said it better myself Julie"
And the final one to join the conversation was a woman named Julie.
She looked wildly different from the others as she wasn’t even wearing any armor, but just a long purple robe that covered her entire body.
Her eyes were a deep purple as well and her hair a beautiful bright blue.
She, unlike the others, was seated at the front of the carriage holding the reins, leading the dray horses.
"Really Emily and I were defending you, you lot truly are ungrateful"
"Oh am sorry Kris you’re right, I really am being ungrateful, how can I make it up to you?, oh I know how about when we’re done here i let you buy me dinner huh, will that justify it?"
She said, her voice sweet and wistful, carrying an untold promise.
"I guess that will do"
And he really fell for it, women truly were dangerous if you were stupid enough to fall for their tricks.
Ray and Julie couldn’t help but shake their heads, it had been two years since they had begun working together and in all that time he was still allowing her to play him like a fiddle, it was almost sad truly.
Seeing the trees finally starting to part Julie turned to the others and said
"Ok everyone get ready, we’ve arrived at the dungeon snows wrath
But just as she uttered those words to her companions she saw people
Hult you are approaching the sovereign property of the nazar kingdom, what business do you have?
"Ray!"
"Yeah, yeah I heard they are coming"
Getting out of the carriage Ray stood face to face with the guards blocking the carriage.
"My name is Raymond, leader of the silver unit and we have been dispatched to this mine to deal with mana beasts on the forty-ninth floor of this dungeon ass seen here on this official notice given to us by the knight commander Isabella"
He said taking out a notice with the knight commander’s stamp which was quickly looked over by the guards
Which saw that there were no problems, it was the knight commander’s stamp
Right this way, it’s an honor to have the silver unit here with us they said turning towards the dungeon as they began walking
But before Ray could ignore their praise everyone in the vicinity suddenly stopped moving.
From the opening of the dungeon, a thick white mist started to pour out and along with it came a cold so deep it started to freeze the very floor and
a wave of pure mana so heavy that anyone lower than a novice star three was instantly knocked unconscious.
Their bodies began spasming as blood began to leak from every orifice that they possessed.
Next, the very earth that they stood on began to shake, throwing the ones who remained on their feet to the floor.
As if saying all should kneel for this moment
And then a brilliant bright light began to shine from the dungeon preventing anyone from truly seeing it and the brighter the light shone, the more the ground shook.
And finally, after a full seven minutes of this hell everything stopped, the bodies stopped spasming, falling over dead.
The earth stopped shaking, and the bright light retreated leaving in its place
The dungeon?
No the dungeon was gone and what remained in its place was a naked brown-skinned man with nine black tails flowing behind him and a smiling white-haired woman at his side.
