Hellbound With The Vampire King-Chapter 106: Will The Banquet Still Hold?
Chapter 106: Will The Banquet Still Hold?
Serena started to breathe quickly as her heart pounded loudly in her ears, but her brain pushed through in processing the situation.
"Kitten, are you alright?" Eiravyn asked, his eyes filled with worry as he stared at her, but it seemed like the girl still thought she was trapped in her mind.
She didn’t even think about what had happened to the man cloaked in black and just knew he disappeared, with unsteady legs, she forced herself to move, to leave this cursed cubicle and flee.
She was free now and the man was no longer here, she thought, as she tried to move her shaky legs, it was then she noticed that someone was holding her.
This time she didn’t feel repulsed by the touch like the way she felt when the man in black had touched her, instead she felt like clingling into this person, when she heard his voice.
"Kitten, it’s okay. I’m here with you, no one can harm you now." Serena heard his voice before she saw him.
She turned to look at him slowly, as if she had been waiting for him all this while, her voice shaky. "Eiravyn, he..." Serena started to say when Eiravyn’s voice cut through hers.
"Shhh! It’s okay, kitten, No one can dare hurt you." She heard him say.
Serena felt shocked and confused and a whole lot of different emotions coming together strongly. Who was that man? She had thought she would never be able to come out of that place.
To say she was horrified was a huge understatement and she didn’t know what to do. Where did he come from and where did he go? She also noticed he had red eyes like the vampires here. ’Was he a vampire, if so, he was the creepiest she had ever seen.’ Serena thought in her mind.
Eiravyn saw the horror written all over her face and didn’t know what to do. His mind instantly went back to the past, to the day the prophecy was revealed, 20years ago.
The prophecy was about Eiravyn’s mate, the girl, who had unique blood and have been born in the human realm. It was said, she was the key to unleash his full powers. Nobody knew how or when, but that was just how the prophecy was.
As Eiravyn reminisced about the past, he felt her frail arms wrapped around his waist as she hugged him. He felt her head settle on his chest. He could also feel her whole body trembling from the shock of this experience.
Now, he was begining to wonder if they would be able to attend the banquet. As if this was not enough he suddenly heard the High Priest voice.
"You must find Queen Seraphine as soon as possible, only she has the key to the second prophecy. I see a battle coming, you must act fast, Your Majesty or you’d lose everything you hold dear." Eiravyn heard the man say. He turned to look at Fei, it turned out the man was having another prophecy. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Eiravyn knew the name Seraphina, a little too much, as it was his own mother. "Was there a second prophecy,"Eiravyn wondered in his mind. As he turned to look at Serena, who was still shaking in his arms. How much more would he drag her into his mess! The girl already looked like she wouldn’t be able to handle any more. He was surprised that she was still standing, considering how frail she looked he thought she would have passed out with all the revelations.
Eiravyn turned to look at the High Priest, "What is this other prophecy you speak of?" He asked, as his grip on Serena’s waist tightened even more from his anger.
"I’m afraid I don’t know, your mother only told me to tell you this at the right time before she suddenly disappeared."
Eiravyn gave him a hard stare, when he heard his mate’s voice. His whole attention went back to Serena at once.
"I don’t want to stay here, Eiravyn." Serena’s voice was low and sounded calm. There was already so much she could take, and right now, she need air.
"Are you okay now, Kitten." Eiravyn asked, his face full of concern and worry. He get her give a small nod.
"Do you think you can attend the banquet?" Eiravyn watched her red hair, since her face was still buried in his chest.
Serena gave it a thought. She couldn’t lie and say, she wasn’t exhausted. She was and greatly at that, but to think of the people already gathered in the ball room, only for it to be postponed, didn’t sit well with her.
Serena turned to look at him, "I think so, I just have to calm down."
After a short while, Eiravyn turned to the High Priest as they were about to leave the place, "We’re not done here, Fei, you owe me a lot of explanation."
"I only gave the message I was ordered to say, I did nothing wrong."
"Is that your excuse." Eiravyn’s voice had dropped to a low octave.
"Eiravyn... we really have to go now."
Serena couldn’t stand the tense atmosphere, so she pulled at Eiravyn’s sleeve. Only for Eiravyn to release a breath when he saw her tired face, he pulled her close and hugged her tight with both arms. And in the next moment, Serena was hoisted from the ground, into his waiting arms.
"Eiravyn! I can walk."
"Save that energy you’re using to scream for the banquet and your punishment, kitten. You don’t want to be so tired when it’s time right."
As Eiravyn said this, he began walking out of the room with Serena in his hands, only to hear the High Priest shouts.
"You shan’t sleep with her until the day of the wedding, Your Majesty." The High Priest voice sounded, almost desperate.
Eiravyn turned his head slightly, but did not fully face the man, "Shut your damn mouth."
His elderly voice rang like a bell as he bellowed, when he saw that the vampire king was already leaving."Your Majesty, She must be kept a virgin until the wedding night to assess her full powers, you must do what’s right!"
Serena inhaled a sudden gasp of breath when she heard the High Priest words, and before she knew it, Eiravyn had teleported them to the royal house.
