Hell's Actor-Chapter 104: His Precious
Chapter 104: His Precious
Averie breathed heavily.
"Trying to take my face?"
Indeed, it would have been fatal if he couldn’t have resumed control of his body.
He turned his gaze towards Celli. She was still keeping her eyes closed.
’Saved me some explaining to do.’ He scoffed. ’What excuse would I have given? I am a psycho or something like that?’
Averie guided her away from the scene while she kept her eyes closed.
Once they were a little distance away, she guided him towards the exit, where Hyerin was waiting.
She thanked the girl for helping him find the way.
’She looks a little distracted,’ thought Hyerin.
Indeed, Celli was quiet the whole way.
Averie decided against explaining everything that happened.
He gave her his number.
"Call me."
He thought they could meet and discuss what happened.
He inched towards her ear. "Please, do not mention what happened to anybody."
Hyerin heard everything.
’What? What did you two do?’ Her gaze bounced between the two. ’Are they—no, couldn’t be. Did they—in there—no.’
Her brain was overwhelmed.
Averie said goodbye to Celli.
And after a quiet car ride, they were back at their hotel room.
"Did something happen?" Hyerin asked on the way.
"No."
He was afraid she would suffer from high blood pressure if he were to tell her.
"You can trust me," she said.
"It’s a bit embarrassing, that’s all."
Hyerin’s face turned to stone.
’They definitely did it.’
The poor girl spent the evening thinking about how to manage it if the word got out.
But there was something else that was more worrisome, and Averie found out about it after dinner.
Hyerin had been on a call for a good twenty minutes.
"You look glum," Averie remarked, changing TV channels. "What’s the matter?"
She put down her phone.
"Well," she hesitated, unable to meet his gaze. "It’s not that big."
Averie jumped from his seat.
"Don’t you dare say that! It’s the right size! The correct size!"
"What? What are you talking about?"
The two stared at each other for a second before Averie coughed.
"I was saying that no matter how small a problem you have, it’s big enough for us to address it."
Absolute lie.
Hyerin looked touched.
"I was talking to someone I know, an old colleague." She paced around the room. "There’s a problem. You have been added to the industry’s black list back home."
"I’m sorry?"
Black lists existed in every industry across various cultures. The film and entertainment industry was no different.
These weren’t actual lists or a law one had to abide by. No, these were just metaphorical lists with no power of their own.
But people were petty no matter where one went, and that pettiness had long dripped into the film industry.
Even then, it was rarer to see it happen.
"Banning me, of all people? Are they stupid?"
Hyerin was the one who looked the most devastated. She had been trying to secure scripts for Averie, but recently, there had been no luck.
No good scripts were coming for him. This wasn’t the case while the drama was airing. But suddenly, he had found himself without worthy roles. And it didn’t take Hyerin long to figure out why.
The entertainment and film industries were too tightly knit, whether it was in the East or the West.
Because of his conflict with Loret Entertainment, or perhaps because of his brutal assault, Averie suddenly found himself being shunned.
He had betrayed the industry and gone against the hierarchical order.
In the eyes of the austere and old-fashioned, he needed to be punished.
"What a pathetic bunch. Do they have nothing else to do? Who’s going to make movies and dramas if they are busy holding me down? Can they find someone better to play villains from now on?"
Averie wasn’t wrong, but his next words were.
"Should I go beat them?"
It was worrying, but Hyerin had other things to agonize over. She had been saddled with the stress of finding a solution. It was an issue that had occupied her mind for days.
And if Averie weren’t so busy groaning about boredom or bullying someone, he would have noticed.
Hyerin observed Averie. He looked unhappy. His smirks and sneers were nowhere to be seen.
Acting was precious to him, and while watching him worry over such a problem, she realized that only too precisely. It was one thing he could not let go of.
He wanted to act no matter what. It was clear from his expression. His puckered lips were challenging the world to stop him if they dared.
He fruitlessly contemplated it, so Hyerin made a suggestion, one she did not want to make.
"I can write an apology letter on your behalf."
She wanted him to continue acting, whether it was for fun or money.
"If the word spreads in the industry that we have apologized, there will be many who will make a show of appreciation and take you back. It will just be a formality."
She tapped on her chest. "I will apologize; you don’t have to do it."
Averie observed her with glazed eyes.
"I will never lower my head for anyone. And if you are going to continue working with me, you won’t either. Do you understand?"
His voice was like a promise from Hell, and his gaze was ardent like coals on fire.
’I will burn myself before I do something like that.’
"It’s their loss anyway. If they won’t allow me to act, then I’ll go somewhere else. Never will I beg for forgiveness."
In the theater of his mind, one particular bald man took center stage.
"Maybe there is someone in a foreign land who would appreciate me."
It was French director Jean-Louis Groux.

Online, in Korea and Japan, the photos of BSPH’s stunt were slowly spreading over the internet.
- Did they really do this?
- Have they all lost their minds, spending time with that Éclair or whatever he is called?
- What if they had been swarmed? There could have been a stampede.
- That looks so cool!
- When I grow up, I want to be a sexual deviant like Asmodeus Binsfeld.
- Wish I could see it in person.
Many studied the footage of their exit frame by frame.
But none of them could be found, other than Peter Kang, who was seen entering a sewage hole.
For the next few days, he was brutally ridiculed.
