Help! Five Beast Alphas Want To Breed Me!!(BL)-Chapter 232: You, Do It
Zephan;
I walk into the room, and Zethar lingers by the door behind me like he’s afraid of coming in.
Ignoring him, I walk further into the room until I’m standing directly before Elián.
Zethar and I spent the last few hours trying to figure out how to handle the situation at hand.
If we’re going to tell Koda about the pregnancy if Elián refuses, and how we’re going to get him here.
We, however, decided not to trifle with Elián’s wishes.
He’s the one carrying the baby after all, if he wants to tell Koda about it, and invite Koda over. Awesome!
If he wants to keep it a secret for now... that might be torturous... but what choice do we have?
"Did you eat dinner?" I ask him softly, and he nods, but he doesn’t take his eyes off the window... off the night sky.
"Yes," he replies, and I stare at the young man in silence. I wait for him to say more, but he doesn’t.
Instead, he curls one hand over his stomach and sighs.
I take a slow breath and step closer. Not exactly knowing how to handle this conversation.
"Elián... when are you going to tell him?" I probe, and his head lifts sharply, as his eyes flash with something that almost looks like panic.
"Tell him?"
"Yes," I reply firmly.
"About the pregnancy. He deserves to know..." I begin, but he cuts me off.
"I know that." Says flatly, with his tone as cold as a pebble.
"But I’m not telling Koda anything yet." He adds, and behind me, I hear Zethar move.
Koda.
So Koda is the father of the baby. Zethar was right.
Zethar walks to stand beside me, and when I see his face, all that’s on it is surprise...
Disbelief because Elián doesn’t sound conflicted or unsure about what he just said. He sounds resolute. Like he’s made up his mind and nothing would change it.
"Elián," I say, trying to keep my voice calm.
"He’s the father..."
"It’s too early," He snaps at me with fear in his eyes.
"Far too early. I won’t...I won’t risk telling him something that might falter. Not yet." He says before dragging a hand across his eyes, as though brushing away thoughts he refuses to entertain.
"And I am not," he says with his voice low and trembling slightly, "going to risk having Koda leave Gravemore in the state it currently is." He adds, and I go still.
So that’s it.
He’s not just protecting Koda.
He’s protecting Gravemaw.
"I won’t distract him," He continues, with his lips quivering a little.
"He has enough on his shoulders. If he hears this... he’ll come running. And he can’t. Not now. So no... I’m not telling him until this baby is strong enough. Until I’m sure it’s staying," he adds, and this time Zethar sighs.
"But, Elián..." He begins, and Elián shakes his head, cutting him off.
"No. I’ve made my decision." He says stubbornly as he folds his arms across his chest and looks away.
I study him carefully in the silence, and Zethar sighs in surrender. Elián is sitting straight-backed and chin up, like a soldier. But beneath the bravery, there’s something else... there’s fear. Not of the pregnancy itself.
But of loss. Losing it.
He’s terrified.
I lower myself to sit beside him, and he steals a glance at me.
"Elián... in this state, you need your alpha." I try to reason with him, and I watch his pout tremble a bit.
"You need his presence," I continue gently.
"The stabilising bond. The pheromone support. Pregnancy is easier for omegas when their alpha is close. You say Koda can’t be here, but you need an anchor. Someone to help your body regulate. Someone to ground you." I add, and Zethar steps closer.
"Zeph is right. This isn’t the kind of thing you shoulder alone." He says, and Elián looks between us... blankly first, and then he frowns.
"But I have you both. I have my alphas." He says as he gestures at Zethar and me.
"You’re here. You’re strong. You can help me, right?" He adds, and Zeta and I exchange a look.
A long, exhausted, complicated look. And then I exhale.
There’s no way around this.
"Elián," I begin slowly,
"Zethar and I... we are your alphas, yes. But we aren’t the Father of your baby. If we’re going to help you, we’re going to have to mark you temporarily, and that’s not as strong as the mark you share with Koda." I explain, and his brows knit.
"There is something called a temporary mark?" He questions, and I pause.
How’s that the only thing he got from all I said??
"Is it... like the same mark I have with Koda?" He asks, and I shake my head in negation.
"No. Not at all." I say softly as I stare at the mark on his neck, I’m only just reading meaning into.
That should have been my first clue that the baby is Koda’s!
"Your bond with Koda is permanent and emotional. It’s tied to your heart, your instincts, your future." I explain, and Zethar nods.
"A temporary mark isn’t romantic or mating-based. It’s physiological. It helps regulate your hormones, reduces nausea and dizziness, and eases the strain of pregnancy. It keeps the body steady." I explain
"And," Zethar adds quietly,
"It may help prevent complications, but not like the real Father’s would." He adds, and Elián is utterly still.
I wait for him to argue... To reject the idea.
To say he doesn’t want anyone but Koda touching his bond. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
I prepare myself for his refusal, and already start drafting the first line of the congratulatory letter I would send him, but instead, Elián straightens.
He looks Zethar, and I dead in the eyes, and speaks.
"Alright." He says, and mouth falls open.
Zethar lets out a confused noise like he wasn’t expecting that either.
"Wait... Elián... did you just...?"
"Yes," Eliàn cuts me short impatiently.
"I agree. Do it." He adds, and my horror grows.
"...Now!?" I demand, and he nods once. Firm and stubborn.
