Chapter 195: Eggs and Bonds

Caius was still just a kid in many ways—there hadn’t been even a hint of that kind of atmosphere between them. To Damien, it felt more like he’d found a mischievous playmate.

"I’m joking, of course. I know that," Theo replied with a grin. But then, as if enjoying Damien’s discomfort, Theo added, "...Or at least, I’d like to say that. But there’s a faint atmosphere here. Something did happen, didn’t it?"

Theo’s teasing smile didn’t waver, and Damien’s face turned red.

"I-I didn’t lie! But... well... maybe it’s because I felt a little flustered when we were washing each other in the bath..." Damien muttered, looking down.

After all, who wouldn’t be?

Having a mischievous but good-looking guy diligently wash your body—well, more specifically... certain parts—was bound to make anyone’s heart race!

And letting Damien wash those parts in return? It was a little bit... overwhelming.

Thoroughly! Every single inch! Damien thought with the memory still vivid.

As Theo burst out laughing, Damien buried his face in his hands, his embarrassment reaching its peak.

This was so much worse than having someone find out about an actual scandal!

"Oh, that’s hilarious," Theo finally said through his laughter. "For the record, Damien, even if it’s with my younger brother, my stance on encouraging infidelity doesn’t change!"

Damien had been expecting a stern "Of course you can’t mess around with my brother," but instead, Theo seemed to be *

endorsing it.

Was Theo trying to turn him into a terrible person? Because if so... it might be working.

Damien’s thoughts took a dangerous turn.

Well, but Caius is indeed kinda hot...

Still, Caius probably didn’t see him that way, so it was fine. Right?

"Though we weren’t able to become brothers through my father, perhaps through you, Caius and I can truly become family," Theo mused, nodding to himself.

Damien tilted his head, confused. "Um, what are you talking about?"

"Don’t worry about it," Theo replied evasively.

I’ll ask Elyon about this later, Damien resolved.

"In any case," Theo continued, "it seems like we should proceed with constructing Damien’s new estate—urgently."

Theo folded his arms, looking unusually serious.

"Wait, what?" Damien asked, baffled. "Why are we talking about that now?"

"Sebas," Theo said, turning his head to the steward, "let’s begin the construction immediately. Spare no expense to ensure it’s built as quickly as possible. For now, focus on functionality; we can handle decorations later."

"As you wish," Sebas replied with a bow.

"No! Don’t agree so easily!" Damien protested. "Spare no expense? That’s important!"

But Sebas remained as composed as ever, and Theo seemed entirely committed to the idea. Damien could only sigh, realizing he had little say in the matter.

Returning to his room, Damien had finished dinner, leaving only one thing to do—go to bed.

On most nights, this time would be spent enjoying some quiet, affectionate moments with his loved ones. But tonight was different. Damien had asked everyone to give him some space.

Tonight, he wanted to dedicate this time as a reward for Ithnan and the others, who had worked so hard earlier.

After all, their cooperation had been crucial in helping Damien strengthen his bond with Caius. Even without that, Ithnan and the others had gone out of their way to perform a sword dance—a task they didn’t need to do.

It wouldn’t feel right not to reward them.

Damien planned to prepare something proper for them later, but for now, he had simply asked if there was anything they wanted. Their answer was straightforward: they want spend time with their master.

At first, Damien had been taken aback. Was that really enough? But upon thinking it over, he realized how little personal time he’d spent with them.

Since they were content to wait until the evening, Damien decided to devote all his post-dinner time to Ithnan and the others. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"Alright, whether it’s playing games or chatting, bring it on!" Damien had declared confidently.

It turned out that the evening would involve spending one hour alone with each of them, in his bedroom.

This... wasn’t exactly what Damien had envisioned.

Still, if this was what they wanted, he would oblige.

First up was the youngest of the group, little Tis’a. What would the sweet and angelic Tis’a want to do?

"Please teach me how to make eggs," Tis’a requested in his peculiar manner of speaking.

The request wasn’t what Damien had anticipated.

Then again, wasn’t it oddly endearing?

Here he was, sitting cross-legged on the bed, face-to-face with a charming, innocent boy asking to be taught how to "make eggs."

Was this a dream?

Do he heard something wrong?

Tis’a’s sparkling gaze bore into Damien, making it impossible to look away.

"Uh, um... did your older brothers or father ever explain anything about this to you?" Damien blurted out without thinking.

The question made him panic. Would it be okay to remind Tis’a about his family like that? But while Damien was worrying, Tis’a seemed entirely unfazed and began thinking.

"Hmm, my eldest brother once said that if you do something called ’sex,’ you can make them," Tis’a replied matter-of-factly.

O-oh.

"Master Damien, what is ’sex’?" Tis’a asked with wide, innocent eyes.

Ahhh... No. No, don’t look at me with eyes that pure...

Wait, how did this conversation even get to this point?

"Um, Tis’a, why do you want to make eggs?" Damien asked, trying to steer the conversation in another direction.

"I want a family. That’s why I want to lay lots and lots of eggs," Tis’a said, glancing up shyly at Damien.

Damien faltered, momentarily touched. Tis’a, after all, had once been surrounded by a large family.

But while Tis’a looked oddly cheerful, Damien found himself growing more somber.

...Wait.

"Just to clarify, Tis’a—you want to lay eggs? Not, uh, have someone else lay them for you?"

Tis’a tilted his head briefly, then answered with cheerful enthusiasm, "I want to lay them by myself!"

O-oh.

"Um, one more thing to clarify—Tis’a, you’re a boy, right?"

"Yes!" Tis’a answered brightly.

O-oh...
