Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are So Hot! [BL]-Chapter 230: Elf Village Proposal and Surprising Plans
"Alright. I’m sorry for making you feel lonely. After we finish this conversation, let’s talk about what to do next."
Damien gently kissed Elyric on the lips, absorbing the tears still falling from his eyes.
Elyric, seemingly satisfied with the kiss, hugged Damien tightly.
"It’s a promise, right?"
"Yeah, we’ll figure out a way so you won’t feel lonely anymore. But still, that attitude earlier wasn’t good. You should apologize to everyone."
Elyric, following Damien’s suggestion, lowered his head in front of the group.
"I’m sorry for my rude behavior."
Elyon also spoke up.
"I think part of it was that Elyric envied everyone who gets to see Damien every day. I’ll make sure to talk to him about it, so please, forgive him."
Everyone smiled kindly at the two of them.
"Well, let’s just consider this settled, with the understanding that Damien will do his best going forward," Theo said, and everyone nodded.
The atmosphere was briefly tense, but it seemed to have calmed down for now.
Damien decided he’d have a proper conversation with Elyric later.
Oh, and he’d also ask Elyon for some advice.
While he was thinking about this, Elyric, still sitting on his lap, suddenly spoke up.
"Oh, but you know, the story earlier wasn’t entirely a lie."
"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Damien asked, surprised.
Elyric’s statement caused the atmosphere in the room, which had been loosening up, to become tense again.
"Um, what do you mean by that?" Damien asked.
"Hmm. It’s true that the Elf Village has the intention of inviting the Monkey to serve as an advisor for population control," Elyric explained.
"...Is that being forced?" Theo’s voice made the atmosphere grow even more serious.
"No, it’s just an intention," Elyric clarified. "As my brother said, there’s no intention of ignoring the Monkey’s will. If we ask and the Monkey agrees to come, we would gladly welcome them."
The others seemed relieved to hear that there wouldn’t be any forced action. Damien also felt a little better.
If they were trying to force something, he’d have to convince the elders himself.
"May I ask why? It can’t just be because Damien is your partner, right?" Theo asked, her face showing curiosity.
Damien felt the same way; it was strange.
Sure, he’d done a lot for Elyon and Elyric, but he didn’t think that would have any effect on the entire Elf Village...
The only thing he could offer was teaching them about sex, but surely there were other people who could do that.
"Well," Elyric began, "what I can say is that the Monkey might have the power to fundamentally solve our problems. I’m sorry, but there are still too many uncertain details to discuss here." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Wait... I have the power to solve their problems!?
...Damien couldn’t believe it, and he didn’t think it was possible.
The idea of having intimate relations with all the Elves sounded too much to even consider.
"Is there any danger to my Master?" Leonide asked, looking concerned.
Elyric nodded firmly in response. "I can guarantee that there is no danger."
With that reassurance, Elyric turned back to the group.
"If that’s the case, I think it all depends on the conditions..." Leonide said, looking around at everyone.
The others seemed to have no objections for now and appeared willing to listen to what Elyric had to say next.
"That’s right. First, it’s been decided that the village will guarantee Damien’s s food, clothing, and shelter. We’re currently building a mansion."
"Wait a minute," Damien interjected, cutting into the conversation.
Elyric gave him a puzzled look. Of course, Damien had to interrupt.
"I haven’t heard anything about this! I didn’t even know there was a mansion being built in the Elf Village. What do you mean, ’under construction’?"
"Well, if there’s no mansion, where would the Monkey sleep when he come to visit?" Elyric replied casually.
Elyric spoke as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Damien thought for a moment. "Ah, well, I guess that makes sense, but..."
"Um, what about Elyric’s house?" Damien asked.
Elyric gave him a puzzled look at the question.
"Ah, Damien," Elyric began, "we elves, we live in what you would call a sort of camping lifestyle. We don’t really have houses. It’s true that, if you’re coming to the village, it would certainly be inconvenient if we didn’t build at least one mansion for you."
So that’s how elves live? Damien thought.
Now that he thought about it, Elyric had also said that elves don’t get sick, so maybe not having houses wasn’t a big deal for them.
...So that’s why Elyon doesn’t mind the adventurer lifestyle.
"D-Don’t tell me... was it a mistake to build a mansion for the Monkey?" Elyric asked, his face showing worry.
Damien wasn’t sure how to feel. He thought it was a bit much, but he decided to appreciate Elyric’s efforts.
"No, no, it’s not that. I’m actually happy about it. Someday, I’ll go see the mansion you’ve built for me."
Damien gently patted Elyric’s head, and Elyric smiled, looking relieved.
"Good, you’re always welcome to visit. Actually, why don’t you move here and live in the village? To continue from what I said earlier, the village has already decided to hire servants for the mansion. As for who the servants will be, that’s up to the Monkey to decide."
"So, if we continue serving you as your vassals..."
"Yes, the village will guarantee all of your living expenses," Elyric answered, smiling.
In other words, Damien’s role would just change from being a baron to an advisor for population control, but his relationships with his vassals and servants wouldn’t change much.
"Furthermore, after the Monkey’s appointment as an advisor, we’ll formally establish diplomatic relations with the kingdom and set up an embassy," Elyric continued. "And for the ambassador, we’ve decided to appoint Theo."
"D-Diplomatic relations with our country!?" Theo gasped, completely shocked.
"Is that really such a big deal?" Damien asked, puzzled by Theo’s reaction.
