Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are So Hot! [BL]-Chapter 297: Morning Mischief and Mansion Plans
"With Damien, it’s more about the formal greeting as a baron rather than a housewarming ceremony, so I don’t think you need to worry about it," Theo explained.
Damien realized she was right. After all, his very existence was still an open secret in public.
"Is there anything on your end that might be a problem?" he asked, scanning the room.
Leonide raised his hand. "From a personnel recruitment standpoint, it’s actually a beneficial situation. It’s difficult to make arrangements when we’re staying at Master Theo’ estate."
Damien understood right away. It would indeed be tricky to manage everything while staying at someone else’s place.
Lucian, who was also handling personnel recruitment like Leonide, nodded in agreement.
"What about Lysander?" Damien asked.
"I don’t think there will be any direct impact on dormitory management, good or bad," Lysander replied. "However, considering the internal documents that will likely increase in the future, having the Crowell estate nearby will definitely be helpful."
Ah, right. Whether it’s dormitory operations or personnel matters, there were plenty of documents piling up. Currently, Damien kept them in the lounge or his room, but that wouldn’t work in the long run.
"Let me check with Lorenzo again. Are there really no problems when it comes to living there? Is there anything that might turn difficult?" Damien asked, seeking reassurance.
Lorenzo closed his eyes and thought carefully before answering. "I believe there shouldn’t be any issues. It might sound strange to say, but since we’ll only be living with those close to us for now, the lack of decoration won’t be a problem. Also, depending on the furniture that...Master Elyon will provide, we can easily acquire the essentials, even with the minimum expectations."
Damien noticed how Lorenzo hesitated, and it made him wonder whether he should ask the group how they should refer to Elyon. But that was a thought for another time, and he decided to leave it for later.
From what Lorenzo had said, it seemed there wouldn’t be any issues with the move.
"Hmm..." Damien mused.
"Theo, do you foresee any problems on your side?" he asked.
"From our side, we’ve already secured land and planned to build soon, so there’s no issue. Honestly, things are progressing in a positive direction. If I’m being completely honest, stopping this and upsetting my master’s mood would cause more trouble than it’s worth," Theo admitted.
Damien chuckled. "Well, I’ll take care of that part, but I understand. I guess I’ll just have to go with the flow."
He paused to double-check with Theo, who confirmed that everything was fine on her end.
"Then, I guess I’ll take you up on your offer and have the estate built tomorrow?" Damien said, though it sounded almost too casual for such a big project.
Everyone nodded in agreement, but there was a strange look on their faces, as though this was a huge deal, but they were all unsure how to react.
After all, who would have thought a house could be built in a single day?
...
The small hands shook Damien’s body again this morning.
"Wake up, big brother, wake up!"
Yor was trying to rouse him, gently shaking him awake.
Although Damien had assigned everyday chores to Yor and Augusto, the morning routine was supposed to rotate among everyone. Did Lysander, who was scheduled for today, swap shifts with Yor?
If so...
"...P-please wake up, my dear brother. Please wake up!"
From the opposite side, larger hands also began to shake Damien. It seemed Augusto was there, too.
With both of them teaming up to wake him, Damien realized he couldn’t stay in bed any longer. He decided to yield. Or so he thought.
"If you don’t wake up, big brother, I’ll kiss you again!" Yor teased.
What?
Two days in a row? If Yor was offering another kiss, how could Damien possibly get up now?
"Come on, Augusto, you too!" Yor urged.
"E-Eh? Um... If you don’t wake up, my dear brother... I-I’ll... give you a kiss... too," Augusto stammered.
Wait, Augusto was going to kiss him, too? No way! Clearly, Yor was forcing him into it.
This was getting out of hand. Damien realized he had to wake up now.
Just as he began to open his eyes, a pair of soft lips pressed against his forehead.
Oh no. He’d already been kissed.
Judging by the forehead kiss, it must have been Augusto. Perhaps he wanted to get it over with quickly due to embarrassment. Damien didn’t want to push anyone too far, especially not Augusto.
But then again, Yor needed a little surprise.
Determined to turn the tables, Damien reached out for the face he sensed approaching and pressed his lips against it. Without hesitation, he parted the slightly dry lips and let his tongue slip inside.
"Mmmph!? Mmmph! Mmmmmmph!!"
As the other person struggled, Damien wrapped his arms around them, holding them in place. He licked the tightly curled tongue he found, ignoring the protests.
"Mmmph... Mmm... Mmm..."
The resistance gradually weakened, and the tongue, once stiff with tension, began to relax, tentatively intertwining with Damien’s.
It was time for Damien to prepare for another round of apologetic bowing. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
For the second day in a row, he had managed to accidentally kiss the wrong person, leading him to grovel endlessly. Thankfully, Augusto, in his infinite patience, forgave him.
Damien swore to himself that he’d never again try surprising someone with a wake-up kiss—at least not when someone other than his lover was around.
Still, for Damien, it had been a fantastic way to wake up. And judging by how pleased Yor looked watching Damien and Augusto share a close and "heartwarming" moment, at least someone was happy. As for Augusto, he didn’t seem particularly upset or eager to avoid Damien. At least, that’s what Damien hoped.
After waking up, Lysander handled Damien’s usual post-sleep routine of helping him bathe and get dressed.
The morning’s breakfast gathering, a daily ritual by now, was extra lively today. Even the dragonkin, who usually struggled with mornings, had joined in because of the day’s big event: Elyon was going to build their mansion. With over ten people present, the atmosphere was undeniably lively.
