Help! the four Alpha's are obsessed with me.-Chapter 160 Flirting with Michael
" And should I remind you that you’re pregnant and will get exposed the first time you get into the house?" Michael once again uttered the jaw-breaking truth.
The plan was a stupid one and could get Daniel severely injured or killed maybe.
" Just stop this. I appreciate your efforts, but you don’t have to act all invested. And why haven’t you asked about the prison visit, or don’t you care anymore?" Michael probed, looking at Daniel side-eye. Dan’s calmness wasn’t ordinary, and with someone who was absolutely fixated on finding his husband and not talking since his return, well, he was on toes to see if anything was wrong.
Daniel locked eyes with him in an accusatory gaze before breaking it off.
" I care about him, but you’re the one fading away right here, so you’re my priority now." Daniel said it in such a soft, tantalizing manner that Michael swore his heart leaped that moment.
" I know he is okay and fine, and I finally figured out that Draven is okay, so you don’t have to worry." He revealed, and Michael looked at him with a look of shock.
How did he know?? Was he following him or tracing his movement when delivering the letter?
" How—Michael, what the heck!! You followed me?" Michael was dumbfounded.
Couldn’t he trust him?? Or was it just beyond trust—something else—because how did he get followed when he said it all, that he was on Daniel’s side of the coin? So what brought upon distrust?
" Wait a minute, and Draven too—the red-haired guy— isn’t it? Now what is your relationship with him? I thought you were married, like I don’t understand how you move." Michael’s head hurt with all the information. All he needed now was clarification, so which damn one was true or false?
He hoped all were false because he couldn’t imagine what he just thought about now—Daniel cheating on his partner??
No, he shouldn’t think that low of him. Was he perhaps even regressing too much?? Like prying into issues that didn’t relate to him at all.
Daniel saw Cindy sigh. The girl must have been fed up with their banter, and she took her crutches and limped away, leaving the two in the sitting room.
" Which one do you want me to answer? One question at a time." Daniel questioned, more than willing to indulge Michael’s curiosity because to be able to win him over he had to trust him completely.
Daniel doesn’t seem like the one to chase after a man, but Michael was another special candidate. He wasn’t directly chasing but just going in circles till it was obvious. Michael deserved to be pampered, and while planning his revenge he needed some free time to enjoy himself, and Michael could help in that aspect and emotional support too because he badly needed one, especially in this arc he was about to enter.
" You want to answer my question? Okay, let’s start with the obvious one. Do you really want me to be happy and why??" Michael threw it at him. Daniel looked around him to be sure the question was coming to him, and really he was the receiver of the question.
Like why?? Really why do I want him to be happy, or did he think I’m not genuine or what!!
" Michael Lewis, I have said it and I’ll keep saying it—among all the masses, you of all people deserve happiness because check it, why should you put others first and leave yourself?" Daniel demanded and then moved on.
" It was just a question, but that alone shows that you feel that you don’t deserve happiness and I hate that thought. So can we end this sad discussion about happiness now and focus on the others of your questions? And lastly, you have two slots remaining to ask, and then I will stop answering." Daniel commanded, and Michael shook his head in support.
Michael’s expression changed again. These days his expression sure had been transforming into different shades.
" Okay, heard you. And now—who is Draven??" It was like a heavy blanket of thick wave of silence enveloped the air as he said that. Daniel looked, thinking, and nodded.
He deserved to know. Michael wasn’t stupid, yes, but he couldn’t hurt him. He wasn’t underestimating him—that would have been utter senselessness—but he had calculated this all along and realized that Michael was actually the safest companion, and it had been proven that he sure was right with his theory.
" The red-haired handsome guy is the man of my heart, my mate, and the baby of this pregnancy I am carrying." It was by the mention of Draven that Daniel remembered he was carrying a baby and was pregnant.
Shortly that thought had vanished previously, but now it had returned, and the zeal to be careful too was obviously stronger. He was slowly hitting the end of the second month, and soon the third month would come, and he should be preparing for the birth.
God, he sure wasn’t a bit ready.
" Okay, confirmed then. Lastly—how did you find me and why, when—because I just can’t fathom all this." Michael was stupefied, but Daniel seemed to be hiding this particular information more tightly.
Could he really tell Michael and his plan would still remain a secret? Wasn’t a secret something that no one knows? How will it still remain a secret if someone got to know even a bit of it? Then it’s out already, so he wasn’t sharing.
" It’s not of my intention, but this information is out of bounds, so sharing it is unthinkable." Daniel spoke with finality.
His speech tone and dictation highlighted that he was serious, no laughing, but Michael still wanted to know.
" My privacy is being hunted here. You can’t just follow me and expect I keep quiet, like it’s unreasonable for even a calm person." Michael tried reasoning with him.
Daniel shook his head, still headstrong about it.
" I have said mine, and I am not spilling a word here." Daniel ended it.
Immediately an uncomfortable silence stretched on, crawling into their skin like an insect.
Michael finally stood up, dusted off his clothes and turned sharply.
" So much for trust. Very well, I am tired. See you in the evening." Michael gave him a dismissive look and turned around, about to leave and go to his room, when Daniel’s voice came out softly.
" This shouldn’t end like this. Want to watch a movie together? We can discuss more things there." Daniel proposed, and Michael gave him a grin.
" Flirting with me now, Daniel?? Good news—it’s working. Let’s try the movies then..."
