HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me-Chapter 228
"Fuck."
"Core Condensation Expert."
Looking at the wind blade that appeared out of nowhere, the old man’s scalp tingled as he hurriedly retreated in panic while shouting at the top of his lungs.
This time, he was truly taken aback by what he was seeing. Till now, he considered the brat to be in the Pulse Opening realm.
It was already impressive for him to be in the Pulse Opening realm at such a young age. From his experience in the cultivation world, only the children of the elite forces are able to progress this fast. Although it was rare for a man to cultivate this fast, it wasn’t unheard of.
Usually, these children would be accompanied by their protectors, probably in the realm of Vein Expansion.
The old man was afraid that Yang Ze, too, was one of those children, and his protector was merely observing from a distance. Although he couldn’t sense their presence, it only made him more and more cautious. Hence, every attack that he did... every action that he took was not threatening. It was just to incapacitate the boy. And when Yang Ze caught him easily like a chicken, he merely attributed it to his carelessness and the boy being strong due to being a cultivator.
But now seeing the wind blade heading in his direction, every single thought that he had about the boy was thrown out of his head.
This wasn’t a young boy... this was clearly an old monster.
No matter how talented, no matter how heaven-defying, no matter how many resources one gulped down, it was impossible for one to step into the foundation forging realm, much less Core condensation, which was a chasm between a ’mortal’ and ’god’.
In his eyes, this was definitely an old monster who was playing around with him.
The old man didn’t think if it was the truth or not. Neither did he want to find out. The only thing he wanted to do was to run away as fast as possible.
He was even beginning to curse his stupid self for being so cocky and provoking such a calamity upon himself.
Even if the boy was someone who could only control one element, he wasn’t someone the likes of him could go against.
He could only watch in terror as the wind blade made contact with the thick black fog that covered the entrance, and in that instant, it tore through it like a hot knife slicing through butter. There was just no resistance. The previous all-encompassing, ever-present and all-powerful black fog that he was so dependent on couldn’t even last for a fraction of a second against the wind blade, much less stop it.
He could only watch helplessly as the wind blade, after tearing apart the black fog, left a huge gust on the ground below.
If not for the fact that he was standing on the other side of the cave, this single wind blade would have torn him apart.
"...."
"...."
*Gulp
Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, the old man hurriedly raised his walking cane in panic before smashing it on the ground and with that, the bodies of the people stitched to the flesh around Yang Ze immediately began to mutter incomprehensible words. They seemed to be saying something, but their words were all over the place.
Yang Ze merely frowned at it, not understanding what the old man wanted to achieve.
Were it before, he would have definitely waited and watched patiently, but now... now he just wanted to end it as soon as possible and get those kids out. As for killing the old man... he was still hesitating. He needed the technique to revive Cang Yue.
"Let’s just catch the old bastard first." After making a decision, Yang Ze didn’t hesitate. He simply raised his hand and, under the despairing gaze of the old man, slashed two more wind blades.
"Fuck." The old man, on the other hand, didn’t dare to stay in his place any longer. Without any hesitation, he directly rushed towards the entrance leading further into the cave.
Yang Ze, who was unaware that there were even more entrances, leading further into the cave, simply walked forward as he passed through the entrance.
Unlike the previous cave that was filled with flesh, this cave was filled to the brim with skeletons. Just a single glance was enough to tell him that the majority of these skeletons were of human children. Even though Yang Ze had steeled his heart to see worse things when he entered the cave, he never expected to see a room full of bones.
There were more than a thousand human children’s skulls lined up around the cave as decorations, making the entire room look like a place from hell.
And if that wasn’t enough, the ground too was littered with numerous bones. Some humans and some animals. Though because of Yang Ze’s wind blade, most of them had turned into dust.
"....."
"....."
"Can you all just shut up?" Yang Ze, who was still shaken by the things he was seeing, couldn’t help but turn his head before shouting in a cold voice. Those bodies stitched with the flesh were still speaking rubbish, making him more and more irritated.
And sure enough, the moment Yang Ze shouted, silence finally descended on the cave as the bodies once again became lifeless, merely hanging there like hollow husks of flesh. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Averting his eyes from them, Yang Ze looked at another entrance covered in black fog before cursing in a low voice.
"This old bastard... just how many holes does this thing have?" From the outside, he thought it was just a single cave, but who would have thought that there would be a cave inside the cave inside the cave. It was as if he were chasing after a rabbit that kept running away in his burrow.
He merely took a deep breath before launching a wind blade forward, tearing the black fog, which had increased in intensity once again. But even with its intensity increased, it was no match against the wind blade.
This time, Yang Ze didn’t launch more than one wind blade. Just a single one was enough to leave a large tear in the black fog, which was more than enough for him to pass through.
And the moment he passed through the cave, Yang Ze was finally greeted by the sight of the old man who was standing in the centre of the cave.
Compared to the previous three caves, the cave this time was almost fifty times their size. It looked more like a football field than a cave inside the mountain.
The ceiling was almost fifty meters above, enlaid with numerous glistening stones which were illuminating the entire cave. And the walls of the cave were entirely made up of crystals, reflecting the scenery in the cave while simultaneously reflecting the light from the stones, brightening the cave even further.
Unlike the previous caves, there was no fishy smell; Instead the entire place had the smell of the ocean. For a moment, Yang Ze could have sworn that he tasted salt in the air.
"Not running anymore?" After taking a look at his surroundings and seeing that there was no other entrance leading to somewhere else, he finally breathed a sigh of relief before smirking at the old man standing in the middle of the cave upon what seemed to be an altar.
The altar was roughly three meters in height and was completely made out of human skulls. But that wasn’t all, even the platform around the altar was laid with human bones.
And standing at the very centre of the altar was the figure of the old man.
But it wasn’t the altar made from human bones or the figure of the old man who seemed to have recovered from his injuries that attracted Yang Ze’s gaze. Instead, it was the figures of the children standing quietly in the left corner of the cave, huddled together.
"YOU." Yang Ze almost wanted to throw another wind blade and finish the old man in one go, but managed to hold himself.
Taking a deep breath, his figure disappeared from his initial position as he directly appeared beside the children.
"Huh!?" Looking at their dazed eyes and blank faces, Yang Ze couldn’t help but narrow his eyes. He even tried to shake one of the girls, but to his dismay, she was akin to a lifeless doll.
Yang Ze’s heart fell as he checked her pulse and found nothing wrong with her. He checked a few other kids as well, but they, too, were in a similar state.
With every passing moment, Yang Ze’s heartbeat hastened as he searched for the group of five girls, but no matter how much he looked, he couldn’t find them.
"WHERE ARE THE GIRLS?"
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM?"
Yang Ze didn’t even turn his head as he shouted those words.
His words, which were infused with internal energy, made the entire cave tremble for an instant.
Gazing at Yang Ze’s back and hearing his enraged voice, the old man felt like his heart was in his throat. He was resisting every urge to simply turn around and run away.
Taking a deep breath, he simply let out a smile that was uglier than crying while bracing himself for what was about to happen.
"Didn’t you hear me?" Turning around, Yang Ze faced the old man as he slowly began to walk towards the old man, step by step.
He didn’t rush immediately, but chose to walk slowly. He wanted to see whether this old bastard had any more cards to play or not.
He wanted to see the despair on his wrinkled face. He wanted to get those techniques out of him at all costs.
But to his surprise, the old man, even in such helpless conditions, didn’t retreat or run away in fear. Instead, he chose to stand his ground and face Yang Ze.
In just a few moments, Yang Ze was already standing in front of the old man, standing face to face.
Without a single word, he raised his hand and reached out to grab the old man’s neck, but halfway through his action, his breathing paused as he felt a heart-palpitating pressure descending upon him.
"Huh!?" Yang Ze’s eyes narrowed into slits as he tried to fight back against the pressure. But no matter how hard he tried, the pressure seemed to be increasing further and further, almost preventing him from even moving a muscle.
Yang Ze’s hand, which was just a few inches away from the old man, stopped completely as a wretched smile appeared on the old man’s face.
"It works." Even he himself couldn’t believe that his little, obscure plan actually worked.
"...." Yang Ze knew perfectly well what the old man was talking about. Gritting his teeth, he pointed towards the old man, intending to use his wind blade to sever his hand, but before he could even act upon this urge, another wave of immense pressure descended upon him, and this time, he clearly felt that if he dared to do something against the old man, he would be completely obliterated.
"Amazing... isn’t it?" Looking at Yang Ze’s state, the old man couldn’t help but clap his hands in happiness.
"Heavenly Oath."
Even though Yang Ze was extremely unwilling, he still pulled back his hand, and with that, the pressure upon him disappeared as well.
He couldn’t help but let out a cold snort before speaking in a puzzled voice.
"The oath was that I won’t harm you as long as you give me the technique."
"And you didn’t give me the techniques."
"So, why the hell is it acting now?"
"Heh." The old man merely laughed at Yang Ze’s words before tilting his head with a smile.
"Did I really not give you the techniques?"
His voice was full of mockery as he spoke those words.
"Didn’t you hear the techniques just a while ago?"
