Chapter 232: 232

"...." Yang Ze watched in confusion as the girl waved the red skull in her hands, and with that, both of them disappeared from there.

By the time Yang Ze came back to his senses, the two of them were already standing in the middle of the village.

"What the..." Yang Ze didn’t even know how he got here or the strength needed to teleport such a distance. He only watched around in confusion. The two of them seemed to be flying in the air instead of being on the ground. And just when he was confused as to why, his eyes inadvertently gazed down, and the moment he saw where they were standing, his face turned pale, and his heart almost leapt out of his throat.

Beneath the two of them was the old water well that was enshrouded in the black fog.

How could Yang Ze not recognise that damned thing? Even though he controlled his clones to jump into it, the horror he faced couldn’t even be described in words.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" In that instant, Yang Ze lost all his cool. Without any hesitation, he raised his hand and slashed a wind blade in the direction of the girl.

This sudden outburst of Yang Ze caught the girl by surprise as well. The moment Yang Ze released the wind blade, her figure disappeared before appearing directly behind Yang Ze, easily dodging the attack.

"What are you doing?" Her voice was filled with confusion as she tilted her head, trying to understand this sudden turn of events.

"Are you seriously asking me that?" Yang Ze raised his hand, ready to launch a second wind blade. "Do you really think I don’t know about the damned thing in there?"

By now, Yang Ze’s voice had turned hoarse as he spoke about it. In his excitement about getting the techniques, he had almost forgotten that this girl was the one who had held him back when he tried to save the children.

Perhaps she just wanted to finish the job with a twisted sense of humour.

And just when he was wondering what she was going to do, her next words made his blood run cold.

"The damned thing you are talking about is my main body."

The girl’s words were akin to heavenly thunder in Yang Ze’s ears as he couldn’t help but fall on his back. Thankfully, the girl was keeping both of them in the air; he would have definitely fallen down.

"You don’t have to worry about it."

"I only ate your clones because I was bored and wanted to give you a little scare."

If earlier, Yang Ze had doubts about whether she was telling the truth or not, then after hearing this sentence, the last trace of doubt in his mind vanished. Only he and the damned thing down there knew about him being eaten alive.

The fact that the girl, or should he say the creature, knew those were his mere clones was enough to send shockwaves in his heart.

*Gulp

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Yang Ze wanted to say a few words. He wanted to tell her that since they were only going to have a conversation, they might as well have it in the outside world instead of going there. After all, they only needed to talk... something that the current girl was perfectly capable of doing.

But before he could even open his mouth to speak and suggest this course of action, the girl simply snapped her fingers, and with it, an incomparable black fog burst out from the water well, directly swallowing both figures.

Yang Ze could only watch helplessly as he was surrounded by a thick layer of fog, completely preventing him from using his internal or mental energy.

And before Yang Ze could even react, he felt his surroundings change. Looking around, he couldn’t help but swallow a mouthful of saliva as his legs almost gave up.

He was standing directly above the ocean. And as far as his eyes could see, there was nothing but water.

"Fuck." Yang Ze couldn’t help but curse in a low voice as he readied himself for the worst possible scenario. He was sure that the next moment that giant monster was going to pop out from the ocean and swallow him in one gulp.

"Relax."

Sensing his fear and tension, the girl simply shook her head speechlessly.

"The amount of energy and strength I would waste to simply move is far greater than what I would gain from eating you."

Although she spoke those words in a flat tone, Yang Ze could clearly hear the disdain and the hidden meaning behind those words.

In simple terms, he wasn’t even worth the effort. It was like a human preparing spices, lighting the fire, adding oil and herbs, only to add the main ingredient of a single ant. The effort wasn’t worth it.

"Then why brought me here?" Yang Ze asked in a somewhat trembling voice.

"If you merely wanted to talk, you could have done so outside..."

The girl opened her mouth to reply, but no words came out. She seemed to be struggling to find words to speak as her face went through an array of expressions before she finally managed to speak.

"I don’t just want to talk." Her eyes gazed at the young boy in front of her from top to bottom as she spoke her next words.

"I do have something that I need your help with."

’As expected.’ Yang Ze had a feeling that she was going to ask something like this. There was no reason for someone like her to bring someone like him here just to talk.

He gazed below at the ocean that was completely still. His clones didn’t even get this long to stay in this place. The moment they entered, they were swallowed completely. And now that he was still hovering in the air without any movements below, his tensed heart finally relaxed. But at the same time, a sense of dread overwhelmed him as well.

His gaze towards the girl became extremely complicated as he decided not to speak recklessly. He didn’t even know what kind of terrifying being would have such a huge body and a clone.

Looking at the girl, he swallowed another mouthful of saliva. He had a feeling that if he dared to mess around or refuse her request, he would be swallowed in the next instant.

Gritting his teeth, he made up his mind.

Getting out of this place was his priority. Even if he had to agree to some absurd request, he would do it without any hesitation.

Making up his mind, he gave a slight nod to the girl before asking in a soft voice.

"What do you need my help with?"

This time, the girl replied with a deadpan expression.

"Help me get out of this place."

"Huh!?" Her words only made Yang Ze furrow his brows in response. He couldn’t help but look at her in confusion. What was she even talking about? She could leave this place any time she wanted to. Hadn’t she been doing it from the very start?

Sensing his confusion, the girl merely lifted her finger, and the sea beneath her began to boil as if something extremely terrifying was coming out.

Yang Ze resisted the urge to throw a wind blade and make a run as he quietly watched the changes taking place.

In just a few breaths, an incomparable giant smooth tentacle shot from the ocean, rushing towards them.

And just when Yang Ze thought it was going to hit them, it came to an abrupt halt.

It then slowly bent down, as it slid underneath his foot, acting like a piece of ground.

"Holy shit." Looking at the long tentacle that was still in the ocean, Yang Ze almost screamed at the top of his lungs.

When he first arrived in this world, he merely thought that it was a world where martial arts prevailed.

But after realising that the core condensation experts could control the elements, his view towards this world changed a bit. His understanding changed bit by bit when he came in contact with those in the realm of Soul Tempering and Heaven Step.

And now that he was seeing such a behemoth existence underneath him... his previous thoughts about this being a martial world were thrown out of the window.

Every time he thought he had understood this world, he would be greeted by such surprises. Challenging everything that he had thought or learned.

"Come... sit." The girl finally released Yang Ze from her control, letting him land freely on the tentacle.

The moment Yang Ze landed on it, only one word came to mind...

’Soft.’

Standing on the tentacle felt like he was standing on a piece of cloud.

The girl then simply sat down cross-legged as her eyes gazed into the distance, as if seeing something.

Yang Ze, after looking around for a while, finally stood behind her before asking in a soft voice.

"You said you wanted to get out of this place."

"How can I help?"

Yang Ze knew clearly what she was talking about, but he still asked. And sure enough, the girl’s next words made him narrow his eyes.

"What you are talking to right now is my incarnation."

"Like a clone, but not quite."

The girl didn’t give an immediate answer but began to introduce herself to Yang Ze.

"The difference between a clone and an incarnation is that incarnations are born instead of being created."

"At one time, there can only be one incarnation, but the incarnation is born with a completely different set of talents compared to the main body."

"Take this incarnation, for example." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

"It was born with the ability to distinguish truth from falsehood. It could tell when a person truly means what they say or not."

Speaking till here, the girl simply glanced at Yang Ze for a moment, sending chills down his neck.

"And I already knew just how eager and trustworthy you are."

"...." Yang Ze couldn’t help but curse in his mind as he took a step back. Of course, he knew she was talking about freeing her main body... the main body that, for some reason, was lying underneath the ocean. The main body, whose size was perhaps even greater than a hundred Yuyang Cities combined.

There was no way in hell he was ever going to let such a thing go outside. Even an idiot would know the consequences of such an event.

There was a reason why this thing was locked in this place... unable to get out.

"But you don’t have to worry about it." Sensing his fear, the girl merely patted on the tentacle underneath her. "You just have to agree."

"I can take care of the rest."

Before she could even finish her sentence, Yang Ze wanted to shake his head in refusal. He didn’t want such a monstrosity to roam the outside world. Although he didn’t know if there were people outside who could suppress this thing, he didn’t want to take any chances.

Whether there were powerful people to take care of this thing or not, he didn’t want the blood of countless innocents on his hands.

But before he could even shake his head in refusal, he felt a tremor through the tentacle beneath him as a cold chill ran down his neck. Remembering how his clones were swallowed by that thing whose mere teeth were the size of the mountains, his heart trembled for a while.

"Don’t worry..." The girl simply patted him on the shoulder. "I am not going to harm you."

"Besides... I think I can help you out."

Speaking till here, the girl simply raised her hand holding the red skull in the air as she tapped upon it and in that instant, five specs of light burst forth, standing around her.

The moment Yang Ze’s eyes landed on the five blue lights, his breathing almost stopped. The five blue lights slowly began to twist and deform before taking the shape of five young girls.

Five girls that Yang Ze was far too familiar with...
