Help!! This Girl Is A Yandere!!!-Chapter 28: Au Revoir
"If I want to survive in this shithole... that Inflibug is key."
Xavier exhaled and cracked his neck.
"Now that that’s over with, I need to assess my situation."
"Number one, that son of a witch Samuel left me here — the Periculous Forest — the most dangerous place on the planet... to train."
"Number two, I am probably on the very outskirts of the forest since the monsters I have encountered so far are weak as hell."
"Number three, I have the Hell’s Advocate Dagger, which can unleash an AOE attack one Tier above my own — up to Tier 5."
"Number four, Haley and the Inflibug can help me plow through, and if needed, avoid most of the monsters on the outskirts."
"Number five, I could probably even find an exit using the Inflibug’s scouting ability. But... since I am already here, I might as well train and get stronger."
He paused, then asked aloud,
"But before that — Haley, is the coast clear?"
[Yes. There are no monsters in the vicinity. You can safely come out.] Haley replied, stationed outside to keep watch.
"Well then... time to get out of here."
Xavier said before giving the tree fragment a solid kick.
BANG!
He winced as daylight flooded the makeshift shelter.
"Ugh... the light really is blinding," he muttered, shielding his eyes with one hand.
Then he noticed it — a rapidly expanding shadow at his feet.
"Huh? What the—? What’s with this shadow?"
His eyes widened as he came to a realization.
’Wait... don’t tell me—’
Xavier looked up.
"...!!"
A massive creature, easily the size of an SUV, was plummeting from the sky — and it was heading straight for him.
"@#$%!!"
BOOOOM!!
"Guuhh...!"He caught the beast with both arms, his body straining under the impact.
"Gaah...!"
THUD!
With sheer strength, Xavier hurled the massive creature to the ground, stirring a thick cloud of dirt and dust.
"Grrruurrghh..."
The creature let out a low, rumbling growl — guttural and labored, as though it were choking on its own agony.
Xavier narrowed his eyes and cautiously approached, his gaze sharpening as he examined the beast sprawled before him. It bore the shape of a massive bear, but its features were far from ordinary. Its thick fur was a dark crimson hue, with patches of singed hair where wounds had seared into flesh. Most striking of all, however, were the vivid, fiery-orange flames engulfing each of its four paws — like miniature infernos licking at the air.
And then there was the jagged, broken horn protruding from the center of its forehead.
’Hm...? Broken?’
Xavier crouched slightly, eyes narrowing further as he studied the details more carefully. The horn wasn’t just cracked — it had been shattered, snapped at a brutal angle. Deep gashes crisscrossed the creature’s body, some still oozing dark, thick blood that painted the forest floor beneath it. Its eyes were shut tight, and its body twitched occasionally with residual spasms. It hadn’t died — not yet — but the thing was clearly unconscious, likely from the sheer pain that ravaged its massive frame.
And then Xavier’s gaze returned to those flaming paws.
"..."His brow twitched, and a bead of sweat rolled down the side of his face despite the cool shade of the forest. His breath caught in his throat as a cold realization settled in.
’This... this is no ordinary beast...’
’It’s a Feral Grade Monster...’
’Equivalent to a Tier 1 Transcendent.’
A flicker of tension stirred in Xavier’s gut, instinct whispering danger even as logic screamed opportunity. His body remained still, but his mind surged with calculations.
Normal Tier 0 Transcendents would run away with their tail between their legs but...
Tak.
Xavier stepped forward, slow and deliberate, a crooked smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. His fingers flexed with anticipation, his gaze locked on the barely-breathing beast before him.
’This... this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.’
His heart pounded—not from fear, but excitement.
’There’s no way in hell I’m letting this slip by.’
Before him lay a Feral Grade Monster — a creature that even seasoned Tier 0 Transcendents would turn away from with fear. But Xavier wasn’t just any Transcendent. He was hungry —for power. For progress.
’Feral Grade and above... those monsters practically guarantee Core drops. Especially in a state like this — injured, unconscious, and completely vulnerable. This... this is the perfect chance to kill it.’
His fingers twitched.
’And once I do... I can finally cross the threshold.’
’Tier 1...’
The very thought sent a shiver down his spine, but it wasn’t fear. It was something far more intoxicating.
’Just imagining it gives me chills. The power, the speed, the strength... the sheer leap in ability.’
He clenched his fist.
’Sorry, pal... but for me to rise—’
’You have to die.’
"Haley, kill this monster for me, will you?" he said, his voice calm and steady.
But there was no reply.
"..."
Xavier’s smirk faded. A subtle flicker of unease crept into his expression.
’Hm? That’s odd. Why is she not she responding?’
He slowly turned his head, eyes narrowing in suspicion as he glanced toward where his dagger usually hovered at his side.
Then his pupils widened.
"...!"
’N-no way...’
The Hell’s Advocate Dagger was not floating. It lay motionless on the ground, and beside it, the Inflibug — his vital scout — sat completely inert, its wings folded, lights dimmed.
Gulp.
’Who could have—’
"Ggrrooorrgghh..."
"...!"
Hot breath swept across Xavier’s back, yet his spine turned to ice.
’Right behind me... isn’t it?’
’Then there’s no choice but to...’
Dash!
"GROORRGH!"
SLASH!
"Urrg...!" Xavier grunted, clutching his left ankle as pain exploded through it.
"Haa... haa..."
’Damn! It hurts like hell!’
’Ugh... it’s burning! Damn flaming paws!’
’Luckily I moved just in time — any slower and I would have lost an entire leg.’
"Haa... haa... goddammit...!"
"GRROOAAGH!!" The Scorching Bear roared and charged.
"Crap!" Xavier turned and sprinted.
"Time to see how fast Level Six really is...!"
Dash!
Despite his injury, Xavier bolted with incredible speed — fast enough to make a cheetah look like a limping turtle.
"Huff... huff... did I outrun it?"
He glanced over his shoulder but didn’t stop running.
Dhum! Dhum! Dhum!
Unfortunately, the bear was still behind him — relentless and closing in.
"This damn son of a gun!"
Xavier looked forward again, mind racing to get himself out of this bleak situation.
’There!’
"Haap!"
Whoosh!
Thkt!
He launched himself upward, landing on the branch of a tall tree.
"Let’s see you catch me now, you big turd-faced freak!" he shouted mockingly.
"Gghrraaahh!!" The Scorching Bear roared, seemingly understanding it had been insulted.
"Huff... huff... time to find out, I guess?"
"Gghhaaarrgh!" The bear growled and tried to scale the tree.
"Crap. Don’t tell me it can climb—"
"Gghhoorr..."
But just as Xavier had hoped, the bear’s injuries made climbing impossible.
However—
"Ghrg~!"
’Wait... did that thing just... smirk?’
"GGHRRAAAR!!"
Swipe!
Slash!
CRUNCH!
FUHSSHH!!
The Scorching Bear struck the tree with flaming paws, trying to incinerate it. Simultaneously, it sank its jaws into the trunk, biting through with alarming strength.
Crrk... Ccrrk...
"Whoa!" The tree trembled violently, threatening to collapse under the assault.
And then—
"Gghrrr~!!"
CRRUNCH!! CRACK! FUSSHH!!
Fire erupted from the bear’s mouth. Its bite intensified, and the flames climbed upward, threatening to reach Xavier.
Xavier shivered. His brows knit together.
"You... you... you..."
"Just..."
"Kuhu... Kuhuhu... Kuhuhuhahahaha~!" His shivering turned to maniacal laughter, madness dancing in his eyes.
As the fire neared, he whispered—
"...offered yourself to me on a golden platter."
Clutch! CRACK! Chhrrk!
He snapped a branch from the tree, sharpening one end with his bare hands.
"Au revoir~."
Whoosh!
Xavier leapt down just as the tree ignited completely. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
PUCHII~!
"GGHHHRRRRAAAAAAGGGHH!!!"
The sharpened branch pierced the bear’s left eye. It howled in agony.
"Gaaarrggh!!" It thrashed wildly, trying to shake Xavier off.
But he gripped its ear tightly, holding on.
"How does it feel, huh?! From hunter to hunted, you flaming son of a *itch!"
"Haap!"
Stab! Puchi~!
The right eye was next.
"GRRAAARRGG!!"
Another scream, guttural and primal.
"AARGG!"
"AARRGGHH!!"
"HARGH!!!"
The bear thrashed violently, more desperate than ever.
"Hey, what is the big idea? You want me off your back? So soon?" Xavier sneered.
"Well~ if you really want me gone, I will leave. But first..."
"Iwill give you a parting gift, okay?"
He tossed the bloody branch aside.
’Time to test my strength.’
Thump.
THUMP!
His Ethercore pulsed, pumping Aether rapidly at a never-before pace through his Etherlines.
Most of the Aether surged to his arms. Proof of the fact was that the Etherlines in his arm became visible as it glowed with a light blue color.
"Hasta la vista, baby."
He jammed his fingers into the bear’s nostrils and pulled it with all his strength.
"HIIYAAA!!"
RRRIIIIIIIIIPPPP~!!
SPUURRT!
"GHNGGAAAAAAAaaaarrrgghh!!!!"
THUD!!
With a sickening rip, Xavier tore off the bear’s nose — along with the top half of its snout and hide. Blood sprayed like a fountain in all directions.
The Scorching Bear died instantly.
Thud.
Xavier rolled off the now-lifeless beast and landed on the ground, soaked in its blood.
