Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 385: Congrats, You Can Edit Reality
Garion leaned back on his bed and let out a slow breath.
"Atlas," he said.
A familiar presence responded at once.
[Host.]
Garion glanced at the ceiling. "Now that I’ve officially become a Grand Faction," he said, "don’t tell me you’re giving me nothing."
There was a short pause.
[What do you need?]
Garion snorted. "You already know. Rewards. Benefits. Something useful."
Another pause followed, longer this time.
[Sure, sure. Wait a minute.]
Garion raised an eyebrow. "That’s it? You’re really making me wait?"
No answer.
He clicked his tongue and crossed his arms, drumming his fingers lightly against his forearm while staring at the ceiling.
"...You systems really love suspense," he muttered.
A moment later, Atlas spoke again.
[Congratulations. Reward received.]
Garion straightened slightly. "Alright. Let’s hear it."
[Reward: God Archipelago Editor.]
Garion blinked.
"...Editor?" he repeated. "What kind of editor?"
[Of course an editor.]
[Didn’t you play simulator games in your old world?]
Garion paused. "...Yeah."
[It’s the same concept.]
[Except this one applies to your archipelago.]
Garion sat up completely now.
"Wait," he said. "You’re telling me I can edit the islands?"
[Correct.]
"...Move them?"
[Not yet.]
Garion frowned. "Then what can I do?"
[Adjust terrain. Reinforce land. Modify layouts.]
[Basic large-scale management.]
Garion’s eyes narrowed slightly. "That already sounds dangerous."
[It is.]
He exhaled. "Figures."
Atlas continued.
[To use it properly, you need massive mana output.]
[Even with your current reserves, you are limited.]
Garion rubbed his chin. "Limited how?"
[For now, you can only edit Demon Gate Island and the surrounding islands.]
[No long-distance restructuring. No large-scale movement.]
Garion nodded slowly. "Makes sense. That kind of power shouldn’t be cheap."
He leaned forward, interest clear on his face now.
"...So this means I can shape my territory exactly how I want."
[Correct.]
Garion smiled.
"That’s good," he said. "Very good."
He stretched his arms once. "Alright then."
He looked straight ahead.
"Open it."
[Okay, Host.]
A moment later, a translucent system screen unfolded in front of Garion.
The view expanded smoothly, revealing a massive map of the entire Demon Gate Island and the surrounding archipelago. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Garion’s eyes widened slightly.
"...So this is everything," he muttered.
The map wasn’t just terrain.
Mountains, forests, coastlines, and underground layers were all clearly marked.
But that wasn’t all.
He leaned forward.
"...I can see living things too?"
Tiny markers moved across the map. Beasts roaming the forests. Creatures swimming beneath the sea. Even people.
Garion spotted familiar dots clustered around one area.
"...That’s the God Gym."
He zoomed in instinctively.
There they were... his disciples who were in their dormitory.
Garion smirked. "So detailed."
He paused.
Then another thought crossed his mind.
"...Hypothetically," he said slowly, "if someone were..."
[Host, please don’t do it.]
Garion blinked. "What?"
[Please.]
"...Don’t do what?"
[Peeking.]
Garion stared at the screen. "...How did you even know what I was thinking?"
[I am an exact copy of your thinking patterns.]
[Of course I know.]
Garion burst out laughing. "Alright, alright."
He waved a hand. "Relax. I’m not that depraved."
[What if you could see Elder Rachel.]
Garion’s laughter stopped instantly.
"...Atlas," he said flatly, "don’t think that badly of me."
[Noted.]
[Barely believable, but noted.]
Garion clicked his tongue. "You’re really pushing it today."
A brief pause followed.
[So.]
[How do you want to edit the island?]
Garion’s expression grew focused again.
He studied the map carefully, eyes tracing the coastline and the inner regions.
"First," he said, "this island will become God Island."
He tapped the center of the map. "Purely for God Gym training."
[Understood.]
Garion continued, "Which means..."
His gaze shifted to several powerful markers scattered across the island.
"...I’ll need to talk to the Four Legendary Beasts."
[You can see their locations clearly on the map.]
[We can go meet them.]
Garion nodded slowly.
"Not tonight," he said. "Tomorrow."
He closed his eyes and leaned back.
"Big changes shouldn’t be rushed."
[Okay]
---
The next day...
Deep inside one part of the forest, the air was calm.
The Four Legendary Beasts stood together in a quiet clearing.
For the first time in a very long while, they didn’t know what to do.
Eldrin stood at the center, his massive body coiled loosely.
His eyes were gentle but distant, as if he were listening to something far away.
"...It’s over," Eldrin said softly.
The others remained silent.
"The demonic energy is gone," he continued. "The Demon Gate has been destroyed. The island is clean."
He slowly looked at the others. "Our duty here... is complete."
Silvar stood with his arms crossed, tail still.
His sharp eyes scanned the forest out of habit, even though there was nothing left to judge.
"Our target is gone," Silvar said bluntly. "The threat no longer exists."
Bastor and Varyn remained completely still.
Bastor, the massive tortoise, didn’t move at all.
Varyn, the serpent coiled around him, didn’t lift his head.
They said nothing.
Their silence felt heavier than words.
Cindor flicked his wings once, embers drifting briefly before fading.
"...Revenge is done," Cindor said plainly. "What remains?"
No one answered.
Eldrin exhaled slowly.
"For countless years," he said, "we stayed because of hatred. Because this land needed to be stabilized."
He glanced at the ground beneath them. "Now there is nothing pressing us to stay."
Silvar frowned slightly. "And yet we remain."
Cindor clicked his tongue. "Because leaving feels... wrong."
That earned a small nod from Eldrin.
"Yes," Eldrin agreed. "It feels like standing at the edge of a void."
Silence returned.
For beings that had existed only for a purpose, the absence of it was unsettling.
Then...
"Hello. Hello?"
The voice cut through the quiet.
All four heads turned at once.
Footsteps crunched softly against the forest floor as a man walked into the clearing.
He had his hands in his pockets, posture relaxed, like he was visiting old friends rather than legendary guardians.
Garion smiled when he saw their expressions.
"Wow," he said. "You all look like someone just canceled your life’s mission."
Eldrin blinked slowly. "How can you be here?"
Garion only smirked hearing it.
