His After The Heartbreak (BL)-Chapter 46: Let’s Run Away
Chapter 46 - Let’s Run Away
Chapter 46- Lets Run Away
Tyler's POV
The wedding was over. The reception was over. And yet, I was still here.
I stood in the near-empty venue, shifting uncomfortably from one foot to the other, my eyes scanning the area for the car that was supposed to pick me up. People had already started leaving in groups, laughter and idle chatter fading into the night as they disappeared one by one.
The once-crowded hall was almost deserted now, and yet, there was no sign of Declan, the guards, or even my mother.
I sighed, rubbing my hands over my face.
How long was I supposed to wait here?
The thought of being stranded in a place I barely knew made my stomach churn. I wasn't familiar with the roads, and I didn't even have my phone with me. If they forgot me here, I'd have no idea how to get home.
I glanced around once more, hoping to spot someone—anyone—I could leave with.
And that was when I remembered.
Logan.
I had wanted to talk to him before I left. I had wanted to ask him about the kiss.
But then my mom had appeared, and everything else had vanished from my mind.
Now that the moment had passed, I regretted not pulling him aside when I had the chance.
My chest felt tight with frustration. I wanted to see him again. Even if it was just for two minutes, even if it was just to say something—anything—I needed to talk to him before I left.

I turned on my heel and started searching for him, weaving through the remaining guests. My heart pounded as I walked through the dimly lit hall, scanning every face I passed.
But he wasn't there.
I moved to another part of the venue, ignoring the ache in my feet,. I just needed to see him.
But still, nothing.
Eventually, I gave up and slumped onto a chair near one of the tables, sighing heavily. I rested my elbows on my knees, rubbing my temples.
Maybe they really had forgotten about me.
I sat there, my mind drifting aimlessly, until I caught a glimpse of someone moving across the room.
And then, I saw him.
Logan.
My heart skipped a beat.
He was standing near the exit, and for a moment, I felt relief wash over me.
But just as I was about to stand up and walk over to him, someone else got there first.
A girl.
She stepped in front of him, her face lighting up with a bright smile. I froze, my breath hitching in my throat.
Then Logan smiled back.
And hugged her.
I clenched my fists.
Jealousy burned through me like fire, tightening my chest. I had no right to feel this way—I knew that. We weren't dating. We weren't anything. But that didn't change the fact that I wanted to rip her away from him and throw her across the room.
That hug was supposed to be mine.
Not hers.
I could feel my face heating up, my entire body stiffening with irritation. The way she looked at him. The way he looked at her.
I wanted to strangle her.
I sucked in a sharp breath, forcing myself to look away before I did something stupid. My nails dug into my palms as I turned around abruptly, trying to shake off the anger.
I had barely taken a step when someone approached me.
"Young Master Tyler," a voice called.
I looked up to see one of Declan's guards walking toward me. He gave a small bow before speaking.
"It's time to leave."
I swallowed hard, pushing down the lingering jealousy in my chest. I was still pissed off, but I wasn't about to let anyone else see it.
"Where's my mom?" I asked, my voice coming out sharper than I intended.
"She's already waiting for you in the car," the guard replied.
I hesitated for a moment, then gave a stiff nod and followed him.
As I walked toward the exit, I heard my name again.
"Tyler!"
I turned my head, my pulse quickening.
Logan.
For a split second, my frustration melted away. A part of me wanted to run to him, to hold onto him, to forget everything and just be with him. But then I remembered her—that girl, that stupid girl—and the way he had smiled at her.
The jealousy came rushing back like a tidal wave.
So instead of answering him, I turned my head away.
I ignored him.
I snubbed him.
If he could make me feel like that, then he deserved to feel it too.
I walked outside without looking back.
The night air was cool against my heated skin, My mom was standing beside the car, her arms crossed, looking exhausted.
I rushed over to her, but I didn't say anything.
I didn't ask her how she was doing.
I didn't want to hear her lie again.
Moments later, Declan appeared with his new wife by his side and Logan at his back
They were both walking to our direction
I swallowed hard and looked away, I do not want to look at Logan or let him know that I'm looking at him
Declan introduced her to my mom, and I could see that Naomi—ugh, even her name pissed me off—was expecting a warm welcome. Maybe even a polite smile.
She got neither.
My mom simply looked at her—her gaze cold, sharp, and filled with nothing but disinterest. Then, without a word, she turned away.
I grinned.
Good.
She needed to know her place.
Naomi's face turned red, and she quickly averted her gaze, clearly embarrassed. But my mother didn't care. She barely even acknowledged Declan before getting straight to the point.
"Where am I going?" she asked flatly. "Back to my apartment or somewhere else?"
Declan cleared his throat. "We're all going to my place," he said. "I want us to have a family dinner. Philip and his son, Logan will be joining us as well."
My body tensed.
Logan?
I glanced at my mom. She was clearly uncomfortable, but she tried to hide it.
She sucked at hiding her emotions.
Declan then turned to me. "Logan will be riding with you and your mom," he said. "Make sure he feels comfortable."
I nearly choked.
What?
I turned to look at him, my expression blank. Can't he take another car? There were plenty of other cars.
As if he had read my mind, Logan spoke up.
"That's okay," he said with a small smile. "I wouldn't want to be an inconvenience."
Good. At least he knew he was an inconvenience.
Declan nodded in approval, acting like some perfect father. I nearly rolled my eyes.
Mom suddenly let out a sigh. "I'm tired of standing," she muttered. "I need to rest before the dinner."
With that, she climbed into the car.
I followed immediately, not wanting to be part of whatever awkward family conversation was about to happen.
The driver wasn't there yet, so I let myself relax for a moment.
The windows were tinted, shielding us from view.
And then, out of nowhere, I felt a hand grab mine.
I turned sharply, alarmed—only to see my mom.
Her eyes were red.
She was crying.
"Mom?" I asked, panicked. "What's wrong? What happened?"
She looked at me, her gaze filled with desperation. Her lips trembled as she gripped my hands tighter.
"I can't take this anymore, Tyler," she whispered, her voice breaking.
I swallowed hard.
"I can't take your father's bullying anymore," she said, her voice shaking.
And then, she looked at me.
"Let's run away."
My heart stopped.
"I have enough money," she continued, her voice urgent. "Enough for us to start a new life. Somewhere far away. Somewhere he'll never find us."
