His Obsession Began After Losing Her-Chapter 37: The Pink Blessing
Chapter 37 - The Pink Blessing
What was happening?
Before his eyes, the petal's delicate form began to twist and reshape.
The edges curled and the center thickened, transforming into fragile wings.
A moment later, a radiant pink butterfly emerged, fluttering gracefully above his palm.
The butterfly's wings sparkled with a luminescent sheen, leaving a trail of shimmering dust in the air.
Could this be a fairy?
He remembered seeing similar-looking creatures fluttering around the divine tree, but he couldn't be sure what it was.
The butterfly continued to dance around him, weaving intricate patterns in the air as if it were trying to communicate with him.
It circled him once more before hovering in front of his face.
Then, just as suddenly as it had transformed, the butterfly began to shift once more.
The shimmering wings folded in on themselves, the glow dimmed, and the tiny creature slowly reverted back into the pink petal.
It floated down gently, landing gracefully back onto Noran's palm.
Noran stared at the petal, hardly believing what he had just seen.
He suddenly recalled Shuri telling him that the fairies give blessings to those they like.
So, could this be a blessing?
Noran grasped the petal in his hand gently.
Although he didn't fully understand the significance of what had just occurred, he had a feeling it would help him find Shuri.
Determined, he went back to the location where Shuri's café was supposed to be.
However, to his disappointment, the place remained an abandoned shop, and the petal didn't react to its surroundings.
Roy, who had tagged along, frowned at Noran, who simply stood in front of the shop as if he were waiting for something.
"Did you skip rehearsal again just to come here?"
Noran didn't respond, his gaze fixed on the abandoned shop.
"You've been acting weird lately, Noran..."
Roy had noticed the change in his friend. Noran had always kept his distance from others, but he used to be polite and agreeable—more out of obligation than anything else.
However, recently, Noran became cold and defiant.
Besides Roy, he ignored people who tried to talk to him and refused to give in to his family's demands.
Roy even heard that Noran had refused to see his parents despite their orders.
"I'm planning to buy this place," Noran finally spoke, his voice barely a murmur.
Earlier today, he called the landlord to make plans to purchase the store.
He even thought about renovating the place to how Shuri had furnished it in the past.
Unlike his past life, he was still a Kingston and had access to the funds he earned from his music career.
If he bought the place, Shuri would have to contact him if she suddenly appeared and wanted to rent the store.
Roy raised an eyebrow. "Huh? What's so special about this abandoned shop?"
"I'm looking for someone," he replied vaguely.
"Who?" Roy quickly asked.
Noran was quiet for a while before he answered, "She used to open a café here."
"She?!" Roy exclaimed in surprise.
Did he hear that right?
Noran, who had never shown any interest in girls, was coming here every day to wait for a girl?
Roy always hung out with Noran and thought he knew everything about him, maybe even more than his family did.
How could he not know that Noran had someone he loved?
Despite his curiosity, Roy was sensible enough to know he shouldn't ask more.
He didn't want to intrude too much and cause Noran to push him away like he usually did to others.
So instead, Roy asked, "Do you want me to help you look for her?"
Noran felt like it was déjà vu.
He remembered Roy offering to help him look for Shuri in his first life, and now he was doing it again.
Thinking back, Roy had done a lot for him back then without being asked.
Noran was thankful for him and believed Roy was the friend he could trust the most.
He had become the only one Noran would open up to at that moment.
However, despite Roy having ample resources and some power back then, he still couldn't help him find Shuri.
So, with the limited power and resources of an eighteen-year-old now, what could he possibly achieve?
Besides, Noran believed he needed to be the one to find her, and this time he had a plan in mind.
"No, I'll look for her myself."
He then added, "But I'll let you know when I need your help in other areas in the future."
"You will?" Roy looked rather surprised. novelbuddy.cσ๓
This was the first time Noran had requested his help.
Being someone born with exceptional talent in almost everything he did, Noran hardly ever needed assistance.
Therefore, Roy was not only surprised but also excited to hear Noran say he would be needing his help.
Roy patted his own chest enthusiastically. "Whenever and whatever it is, you can count on me."
Noran nodded quietly, knowing that Roy would be a big help in his plans for the future.
He was determined to create a future where anything that threatened Shuri would be removed, and to do so, he'd need immense power.
His first step was to find Simon, his manager, to make plans for his music career that would be free from the Kingston family's watch and control.
He thought that instead of searching for Shuri aimlessly in this vast world, it would be better for her to seek him.
Since she was his fan in his first life, there was a possibility she'd notice him in this life too.
He needed to become popular and famous enough for her to notice him, wherever she was.
However, he couldn't act freely in his career with a manager who worked for his family and reported his activities to them.
If Simon wouldn't agree to be on his side, he would have no choice but to find another independent manager.
So, the next day, he proceeded to Simon's office to discuss the situation.
He arrived a little earlier than expected, and the office was quiet, with everyone still out for lunch.
As he wandered around the office space, he noticed the quiet hum of the air conditioning and the walls adorned with posters of various talents, including a large one of his younger self playing the piano.
"I have to let her notice me," he thought while looking at his poster.
Suddenly, the pink petal appeared in front of him, floating gently in the air.
Noran's eyes widened in surprise as the petal began to shimmer and transform.
In an instant, it turned into a delicate pink butterfly, its wings shimmering with an ethereal glow.
His instinct told him this was a sign as he followed it to a closed door.
The magical creature passed through it as if it were made of air, signaling that there was something inside he needed to know.
Noran reached for the doorknob, but it was locked.
He pulled and pushed, but the door wouldn't budge.
As he contemplated breaking down the door, he heard footsteps and chatter from the hallway as Simon and his colleagues returned from lunch.
Simon was surprised to see Noran there.
He stammered anxiously, "M-Mr. Noran, you should have informed me that you came early. I'd have hurried back..."
"What's in this room?" Noran cut him off with a serious expression.
Simon looked puzzled for a moment.
"Oh, that's just a storage room. I keep all the gifts from your fans and supporters in there. I couldn't bear to throw them away, so I've been keeping everything for the past year."
Noran's gaze intensified. "I need you to open it. Now."
"Yes, yes, I'll do it right away," Simon answered nervously as he turned to his colleagues and yelled, "Quickly, get me the key to the storage."
Immediately, an office lady came with the key and unlocked the door, pushing it open to reveal a cluttered room filled with boxes, letters, and various gifts.
Unlike other talents who took their fans' gifts home, Noran always left them with his manager.
He never had the habit of looking through or keeping the gifts his supporters sent him.
As a result, Simon had to create a storage room just for Noran's gifts, making him look like a hoarder.
Noran stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of the butterfly or the pink petal.
He began to ransack the place, searching frantically.
"Mr. Noran, what exactly are you looking for?" Simon asked with concern.
Noran ignored him, continuing to dig through the boxes until he spotted the butterfly hovering over a small package.
As he reached out, the butterfly began to shimmer and transform once more.
In an instant, the delicate wings folded in on themselves, the glow dimmed, and the butterfly reverted back into a pink petal.
The petal floated gently down, landing gracefully onto the package before vanishing.
With trembling hands, he picked up the familiar-looking item and opened it with great care.
His breath caught in his throat as he uncovered what lay inside—the Noran cookies.
